Will bitcoin increase above $82900?

This week is still in its baby stage, definitely by the end of the week we can see what's more likely to happen. Based on my prediction last week, I said that if price can close above $80k this week, then the trend is likely to continue to $100k . The area which you are looking as the strong resistance zone is already week and price is not showing a sign of back down from that zone.

Its early phase of recovery or price correction and there's lots of possibilities the pump will continue. We have seen moving good nowadays and if you see the greed/fear index on CMC https://coinmarketcap.com/ we are at 81% extreme greed. Meaning there are lots of people optimistic and think about Bitcoin will continue to pump.

Expecting $100k is maybe to much to ask for now. Maybe its good to look first if Bitcoin can hit another price and it finally hit again at $90k. For sure that once that price got hit, more price rallies or bullish movements will occur.

Bitcoin's highest price today was around $81k, pretty damn close to the price you mentioned. Though there was a little correction the price did not fall much. The situation is not bad for reaching $82,900. I think if that price can be reached, there is potential for further increases. It might be between $85k-$90k. But let's wait, because there are also discussions about the possibility of a correction occurring after the recent pump.

Yes there is a very good possibility of market reversing this is because the market had a very high impulse while going up and usually when this happens most especially during a long bearish market, price will just clear off top liquidity and fill some inducement gaps up ward and then simply reverse back, because it lefts off some gaps behind (reason for FVG), so it will most likely come and fill them before taking any direction and I expect this current trend to also do the same.

I predict that the market wouldn’t break the $82k at a go but might come down to around $76k before then heading for the $82k resistance but should we see the market breaking that $82k in maybe a day then that price ($82k) might tend to be our next support level for a while and the market will have to range also for a while between there and $87k before any upsides

It reached as high as $81,200 just a few hours ago and now it's currently on a correction phase on the short term.

I didn't expect TBH that it will create a higher high after that high that it created just a few days ago. I will stick with my prediction that at one point, Bitcoin will at least make a correction towards the lows of $73,000, $70,000 and possible it might retest $67,000. One negative news could do it, but right now, the daily RSI of Bitcoin sits at around 60 which shows that we might see more upwards movement in the upcoming days. On 4H, it's 72-73 which is on oversold territories already.

"What goes up, goes down." and that will also apply on Bitcoin. Right now we aren't seeing any correction yet because the buyers are still in control. Now if somebody here wants to accumulate Bitcoin for the long term, waiting is the best option for you. Don't get FOMOed.

While I do agree that it has gone up and looks strong, doesn't mean that it has to continue like that, it could do very badly as well, we have no idea how it will do. I get that it may not be something that you dislike, but that doesn't mean that we are going to get a bad result from it neither. Crashes may happen, we do not know, we are not sure and we should be ready for it. DCA is definitely the way to go, keep buying if it goes down and then when it goes up, stop buying and wait and hold.

If you really want to become a trader, you could sell when it doubles, that is a good way to get out. You have a purchasing average, keep buying and see what that is, and when that doubles, sell, I would suggest triple though, that makes more sense. Then, when it goes down 50%+ keep buying again DCA one more time, and repeat this over the years. This means you will hold long term, it doesn't happen weekly, it happens year to year, but you will be in profit.

Here is how am looking at market's atm, on one hand we have the bonds buy back indirectly benefiting crypto which is good.. but on the other hand we have the markets fighting itself ( other investors aren't thinking long term, for them it's an opportunity to jump ship and they are shorting the market which is taking the momentum out of it) and in the midst of the war we get this jump, now imagine if a total ceasefire was to happen **green everywhere**, I see Bitcoin racing to 100K in no time, but for now ~80K could be the new psychological and price will range between 70K & 80K for a while.

It could happen again. So, contrary to your opinion, I still think it might be too early for $80,000. I don't think the market is quite ready for it yet. we will see this very soon, since weekly EMA 100 in $78K, and current price at this area, i think we can see what happens will be for the next week. if this support is strong enough, maybe next week the price will be in $80k range. but, in other side market need more correction, and the bottom will be around 75K-77K, if failed to hold at this area, BTC can break down to lower price. but for now, with current America statement hype and FOMO, i think next week price will be more stronger, and hit 82K.

This is even still better, some people said bitcoin will go below $30000 which I posted about one on this forum and I called it wrong analyses. I do not think bitcoin is going below $50000 which has been what I have been posting.

I read most people predicted $45k.

There is nothing certain in this market. Everything is basically a 50/50 bet. People are just making predictions based on their analysis, and a lot of it is driven by their own expectation. Even if Bitcoin reaches $100k, there is still no guarantee that it will not come back down to $60k right after.

I still remember when Bitcoin quickly reached $80k despite the Iran-US war in June. A lot of people were saying the bottom was in and that we’d never see $60k again. But what happened? We got another new low afterward.

It’s still way too early to say who was right or wrong.

That is true, nothing is actually very sure, otherwise we would have been all filthy rich by now. However, some predictions are more accurate and believable than others.

Some are made based on data, while some are purely baseless.

I believe nothing is holding Bitcoin price from hitting $80k and above, it is clear that the whole resistance thing as of when it was $65k like you said has been broken the moment we saw Bitcoin moved up to $70k, the changes we have been waiting for has happened and we could be seeing $85k soon not just $82k. The green candle will be more in this month than what we saw last month.

The price action is good on the short term 4hr bar chart.  The volume of last Wednesday and Thursday is basically being respected now, those peak prices are now the support so far observed.   It doesn't have to stay this way and we have retracted from a price near to the 50 week average.

  Moving averages are not support or resistance they are just an indicator representing some inertia in the price in a mostly imperfect way.  The simplicity and ease of observing the average does mean alot of people have it as a target hence we have sold but I think its a weak sell  for the reason its a shadow not an object in the way as such.

This isn't base camp, this is one camp down from the summit if you were climbing Everest.  Entirely unsafe, I doubt we stay here long and we might fall but the temerity of the climb so far indicates success to reaching higher is quite probable.  Its the timing that's most unsure, I imagine it closes the week out in a similar state but could do better after that.

Yesterday’s attempt by the bulls to break above $81k was unsuccessful, and as you can see, the BTC price is back below $79k. To be honest, this movement on the chart reminds me of the situation we saw in early May. And if things follow the same scenario now, we can expect a market correction in the near future, though it’s not certain that it will be as deep as last time.

The rise in the price of Bitcoin that happened is definitely good but we need to wait more for a bullish market. 

Currently, Bitcoin is priced around $77k and continues to experience a slight decline. After the price increase, the market may try to stabilize the price. This allows Bitcoin to move sideways for a while, and the next situation is actually hard to predict. If there is a strong push, it could break through that price level. Conversely, a price drop could occur.

When the market hit its lowest point, many people invested and they are already very happy to see such a great performance of the market. The Bitcoin market has changed very quickly and we can see that the market touched $81,000 this August which gives us more positive signals. The market has moved much higher after breaking the resistance and if the next resistance can be broken successfully, we can stay higher. If the market touches $82900, then we will have more hope that the market will continue to move towards a very fast change. Yes, with the performance that the market is showing this month, we can be very sure that the market will touch $85,000. Not long ago, or not even up to a week now, in another thread, I said, that Bitcoin tends to fool the majority of people and I become more bullish than bearish because everyone was thinking that Bitcoin was heading to 44k, and it has happened that the majority of people were wrong about their views. From my perspective and analysis of current trend, Bitcoin is gathering momentum to smash that $82k price level completely; my analysis points towards 109k before we witness a major price correction again.

$82k still can't break through and it's quite difficult, then there are some corrections and this is normal before doing another experiment.
As long as there is no FUD disrupting Bitcoin, then the resistance at the $82k price is still very likely to be broken.

Now Bitcoin is in the Up trend console area of the 1D Time Frame and is trying to hold on to that area to gather more power and try again.
The closest support that determines whether Bitcoin can still hold is at the price of $77200++.
But hopefully it can still break through $82k and can reach another $100k.

The lows always count for more then this simple peak we got.   The price action is very strong so far and holding here makes me think it's going to be bullish and become more obvious while gaining from here.  
  The fact BTC can do this is what makes it so popular because that horrible sideways drift we just had was really not pleasant.

   I have read at least one trader say 73k is what happens next but I haven't read fully why they are so confident on that.  So I dont see a negative development here only positives, profit taking is always possible though and a sharp rise often comes with traders on leverage who sell.
  73k is an average price for 2026 apparently, a test near 200 day moving average is often quite feasible in some timeline.

It’s just you thinking about it that way; you don’t want the price to break above $70k anytime soon, but Bitcoin has already tested $80k as recorded by some exchange before it dropped down below $80k. We just have to watch and observe how we are going to end the month. Whatever you are doing with your buying plans, you need to hasten up before the price takes you by surprise.
