Have you ever researched the XRP ETF thesis?

How many of us have done research on which coin to buy before the year-end that isn't Bitcoin? I doubt no one would come out to say that, because of the so-called pragmatic statement that "altcoins are shitcoins", "don't invest in altcoins", blah blah. Before coming out to talk down on altcoins, have you done research on the thesis of some altcoins? 

To get things straight here. The altcoin I will be referring to is XRP. I took my time to do in-depth research on what I think about XRP, and I will tell you for fun that it will get to $3 soon. It is currently trading at $1.51 following a 45.57% weekly rally. I draw my speculation on institutional ETF interest in XRP. Trump recently spoke about the ripple 4 days ago.

Investment is a matter of choice. I am drawing our attention to this coin because I see potential. Don't forget to DYOR before buying.

I disagreed. What trump said during his speech was related to the Clarity act that may change the status of some alts like ripple from security to the commodity. However, he didn't explicitly talked about ripple.

This is why i'd abandon ripple then stick to speculate hyperliquid ETF that may be launched in the future because Trump has blatantly said he welcomed Hyperliquid to enter US.

Hyperliquid is more than ripple.

Institutional interest in XRP is nothing new. it has existed since the approval of the Bitcoin ETF. If Trump were to mention XRP or recommend investing in it, the price would reach $3. If Trump's statements are the reason for your investment, then go ahead but bear in mind that it would be a short-term investment.

A lot of us have done research actually and concluded that 90% of altcoins are shitcoins, only very few qualify to be considered as an investment, besides it's not only XRP that is going up. $ENA goes up 70%, $STX goes up 130%, and many others because bitcoin is going up.

The rise isn't exactly because Trump spoke about it, it's simply because the market has turned bullish. XRP is not exactly having the best weekly gain but it has some good gains regardless.

Fun fact, XRP ETF only hold about 1.5% of XRP market capitalization making any thesis about institutional ETF interest in XRP far fetched to drive the influence to the price unlike institutional ETF interest in BTC that's about 6%.

I wonder why anyone would need to spend so much time just researching a shitcoin. There's no need to do in-depth research on this token because it's clearly a shitcoin. Given the controversies surrounding its creators, its architecture, and its close ties to politicians and banks, I can say that this isn't just a shitcoin. It's a total scam.

If, given these facts, you can still say that this shitcoin has potential, then good luck to you.

Given the current number of cryptocurrencies (which is in the millions), a 99% of altcoins are shitcoins would mean there are hundreds of good cryptocurrencies. The actual number is much lower, so even a 99.99% would mean around 10 or 20 good cryptocurrencies, which is more than enough.

Years ago, there was talk that XRP would reach $10. While it's possible we might reach $3, that doesn't necessarily mean XRP would be the best investment.

The majority of altcoins are pumped to make profit from those who buy it, altcoin is not like Bitcoin, which gives you an assurance that it isn't a scam. We won't blame those with a strong mind for never buying altcoins. 

What Trump was saying on the news that day was about the Clarity Act, or perhaps I didn't pay more attention to the news. However, I remember when he introduced the owner of Ripple to Congress. Trump has been too involved in cryptocurrency since he became the President of the United States. I won't know if that's a good thing or not.

Yep, 99.99% is more accurate number taking into consideration the millions altcoins, even the meme ones, my 90% number was being overly optimistic on altcoin which might not really reflect the reality and like as you said, the reality is XRP failed to broke through 4th January 2018 ATH which is approximately $3.84, even in mid 2025 rallies it could only hit $3.66, this coin has been stuck on the same price range since 2018, it really isn't the best investment if we take that into consideration.

XRP is an altcoins with lots of potential but It is looking too hyped which is why some persons are projecting the price to got to as high as $3, something I don't see on the short term especially as bitcoin have not even gotten to a new ATH.

A few years ago, I came across a discussion in a Telegram group where someone said that Ripple (XRP) would reach $10 - $15. It doesn't really matter how they arrived at those predictions, the problem arises when the predictions themselves no longer make sense. IMO, if @OP just sticks to the weekly Ripple (XRP) rally he said, it doesn't make any sense at all. Believe it or not, the current price of Bitcoin (BTC) has an impact on all altcoins. I think he's overconfident about that 45,57% weekly rally.

You HIT the hail at the head and yes, I don't invest on the Alt coins because of the bla bla bla, do you've problem with that?
It doesn't also mean that all Alt coins are worthless investing on. Of course we've also been seeing Ethereum doing well while it tends to imitate the market behavior of bitcoin at some levels. The Solana and XRP has also been sighted as some good potential Alt coins to hold they're nowhere to be compared with bitcoin, so I go for the best at Btc to save myself the risk of losing my track because of the high volatility of the Alt coins.
Bitcoin has also been preferable to me because it was kept consistent with the 4 year's cycle since it was introduced while the Alt coin season hasn't keep such track able market records to keep investor's confident.

If Hyperliquid gets the green light to operate in the US, I believe they will give the NasDaq a run for their money. Hyperliquid offers 24/7 stock and index trading which maybe part of the reason why Nasdaq wants to launch 24/5 (24 hours, 5 days a week) trading later this year.
