Yeah, because those two fights that he lost were actually quite close. One fight that still sticks in my mind is his fight with Julio Ceja in 2021. He was knocked down there too, but he was able to recover and eventually win by a big KO.

That shows he can survive trouble, but it also shows there is some risk if he faces a boxer with heavy punches. If he gets caught clean, there is always a chance he could be stopped. The good thing about this matchup is that Cortes is not really known as a knockout artist, so I don’t think the KO risk is that high.

I have not followed a lot of his fights, but just like you, my observation is that he tends to gas out in the later rounds. So I think his best chance of winning is if he can finish the fight within 6 rounds, meaning a KO could be his best path.

But Mark could have matured enough and for sure his team might have seen his weakness already and could be working on his stamina. The thing with this power punchers like Magsayo is that when they throw with so much velocity and didn't hit their opponent, it takes a lot of their strength. If he can only learn how to pace himself so that he won't run out of gas in the later stage of the rounds.

Usually this kind of fights, the odds listing of majority of crypto based bookies are late. We might only see the ML, or if the fight is going to distance sort of odds. And I say you're probably picking the right fighter. I hope you're also picking the right bookmaker. The last time I checked, one of the 2 bookmakers I often use has Magsayo at 1.75 while the other has him at 1.64.

Still good odds for Mark Magsayo here. As a Filipino, I will support Mark here specially that he is the favorite. Although I'm not that of a heavy bettor on boxing itself. My knowledge is not as deep as other Filipino posters here.

Anyway, this could be my first time to bet so I'm make sure that I have a higher chance to win by putting a decent amount of money on Magsayo in his fight. Still plenty of days to go, but it's betting to just go and bet on the winner and not make things complicated on my end.

Since it would be your first time to bet kabayan, it is good to not complicate things and go for the ML odds as it is still a decent odds. As of this writing it is still @1.65 for Magsayo, nothing has change since it was first placed.

As a regular bettor, i would suggest to take it easy, i mean just put a bet which you feel like comfortable to loss it because in boxing there is this called upset that regularly happens like the fight of our very own Weljon Mindoro who was got upset by Carlos Ocampo. Mindoro was the huge favorite to win that fight that betting on him ML is not worth the money because it was pegged @1.05 if i'm not mistaken.

He should be the aggressor, and usually in his fights from what I saw before, he really started hot and try to really knock out his opponent early. Most of the time it's effective for him. But if Cortes is tough, then his team should have a plan B.

And Magsayo shouldn't or not underestimate Cortes just saying. We have seen several upsets in boxing last week and we don't want our very own Magsayo to fall on that category.
