Despite the inflation in Nigeria, did you know that many people remain rich? Most of the rich and average people do not become poor. People will complain during inflation, but everything will become better again after there is disflation. All countries have poor and rich people and some people will always complain.

It will be nice for Nigerians to demand a particular project from each president that rules, personally i will prefer the next government to handle the issue of electricity because i believe that with electricity a lot can be achieved.

Firstly with electricity there will be reduction in unemployment because a lot of persons can start up small businesses from their local niche knowing fully well that they have electricity to power it, businesses like laundry services will be very cheap because they won’t need fuel to power the laundry activities.

Secondly with electricity the price of fuel will drop rapidly which in turn will help stabilize the economy because once there is electricity a lot of persons won’t require fuel for generators etc it will just be probably for their cars.

Lastly with constant electricity there will be reduction in the rate of crime because lots of persons will be too busy with their small businesses that they won’t have time for crime, once people are busy the chances of committing crime is reduced. I just wish that Nigerian leaders will be wise enough to always sacrifice each administration into solving a particular problem.

Every Nigerian has something in mind that they will like the government to solve and as far as am concern, our perspective regarding our challenges is different.
Personally, what I will want the government to address is insecurity because alot of Nigerians have lost their lives,homes, families, friends and their source of livelihood is gone. I believe if the government can address the insecurity challenges and ensure that lives and property of Nigerians are secured, Nigerians could still survive whether the others in the list is solved or not.

Even if you choose any of the options from the list, it doesn't mean that it will be taken care of because we have seen a lot of empty promises from these politicians. When Tinubu was running his campaign before he took power, he promised a lot of things to be done which steady power supply is one of them but look at the country economy now, it's worse than before.

State right ? Because the Federal aren’t incharge of that anymore since 2023.. so if your state still have light problems[which is likely a general problem btw ], your state government is responsible not the Federal.

Not really.. electricity won’t really solve most of those problems you mentioned.. but of course it can keep off thief’s who are scared of light in open areas..

if the government can tackle high unemployment rate by creating employment opportunities.. it will greatly reduce crime rate but then we have so much youths that are not willing to do anything these days, will only curb it to some certain levels.

It simple[maybe not that really simple  :].. build infrastructures and companies in different state  to tackle such.. everyone can’t have a shop or small business, who will be left to purchase this stuffs y they are trying to sell or how will other make money to be able to buy them?

When I’m talking about companies.. then I mean manufacturing companies where we can process raw materials into finished products. Nigeria has so much raw materials specifically in agriculture, they can create infrastructure to make that progress and focus on setting up manufacturing companies, transport [including exporting ]. This will even provide more jobs for intermediaries before even getting to the wholesalers and consumers.

Of all factors listed above, one is very very important that we can not do away with and that is "Security" of both lives and property. And as a government in power, whether new or old, this one thing that ought not to have been negotiable, due to how security is the bed rock to which all of these other factors exist. So with the issue of security fully settled, other things I will love to see from the next government that might come to power is about the issue of fuel price, because immediately the current president entered power and removed fuel subsidy, that was the beginning of price of food skyrocketing, and people also losing their jobs. So if that can be handled, it will go a long way.

Insecurity is the reason why the price of foods in the market is going higher because farmers couldn't go into their farms to plant or harvest their crops because they are scared that they might be killed if they are caught by bandits.  the government isn't doing anything to ensure that those farmers return back to their farms. I think some weeks ago, about 25 farmers was hacked to their deaths because they disobey  orders given to them by bandits that they shouldn't return back to their farm. if you are a farmer will you return back to your farm after seeing this? I guess that your answers will be no. So the government has to take the matter of insecurity very seriously.

It will not be above the power of the president to grant all this things you mentioned at ones because if we choose one thing it will not end everything, and if for instance we say the government should end the high fuel prices, what would happen to the insecurity problem in the country, are we going to be enjoying the low fuel prices while thousands from the North will be dying because of insecurity, or perhaps should we choose the stability of security and still suffer for the remaining problems, so actually the country will felt change if at least three things are answered, let's say fuel prices, security and jobs then everybody would feel fulfilled.

The problem Nigerians have is that we don't overlook party and vote for who will liberate us, everything we do revolves around the party we belong to and outside that party even if we see a candidate that is credible and will effect changes we choose not to vote and will always vote for our party candidates even when they are not doing well, it's high time we look away from party and see the vision and exemplary leadership styles of other individuals that is vying for any political offices and vote for who we believe will make changes were necessary in the system.

An individual can't fix the problem of Nigeria in a day or just 8years that he will rule but if the candidate has vision and empathy for the masses he will solve about 50% of our problem and one major problem I will like the next government to proffer solutions to is fuel prices and insecurity, if fuel prices drops inflation and high prices in rent and food will drop immediately because it's high price of fuel that makes inflation of food prices, Job creation is one area that needs to be tackled and as for electricity it important but the above mentioned areas need more attention before any other factors, if that can be considered then Nigeria will be better abit.

Nigeria is in a state where the poor doesn't have what it takes to care of themselves if they are diagnose with chronic disease because of how poor our healthcare has dramatically become, and it has forced our health personnels to go elsewhere (foreign land), where they will be appreciated and pay handsomely for their work. So I want the government to look into our healthcare, they should allocate enough money in the health sector in order for the equipments that will help in promoting quality health service to be put in place and they should also pay health workers reasonable amount of money for them to remain in the country and discharge their duties.

I agree that inflation doesn’t automatically make every rich person poor, but the impact is definitely not the same for everyone. Wealthy people with assets can often protect their value, while low-income earners may struggle just to afford basic necessities. Prices becoming stable later doesn’t always mean people recover from the purchasing power they already lost.

I understand that insecurity is like a disease in the society and it needs to be curb out completely for people to walk freely and go about their businesses without fear but then don't forget about the inflation of food and house rents because those areas are so important as common Nigerians can barely eat a three square meal in a day, things are so difficult that some people can't afford to pay their rents so it's an issue that needs urgent attention in as much as insecurity, I can tell you hunger has lead many Youths to join groups ordinary they won't have join and the evil politicians are using them to carry out their selfish interest as thuggery.

I totally agree with the assertions made but I just want us not to dwell on security alone as we have other key areas that the government needs to pay attention to. Yes we know that there are very rich Nigerians who aren't directly affected by the economical difficulties but the truth is over 90% of Nigerians are directly affected even the class that you consider "average".

Every nation of the world have people of different social financial status but majority of Nigerians are simply asking that the government should give us a government with a working system that'll be conducive enough for us to maximise our potentials. It's not really about inflation or no inflation, it's about a system that limits the citizens especially the very creative ones from making the best out of their talents and creativity.

 The biggest problem we are having in Nigeria right now is high cost of living as a result of high rate of inflation. This is as a result of the bad policy that this current adminstration has come up with. One of which is the removal of fuel subsidy, since fuel subsidy was removed things instead of getting better is now getting worst. The cost of things has drastically increased to the point that people are now finding it difficult to survive. Therefore, the removal of fuel subsidy has negatively affected the poor masses while the politicians and those in power are looting the masses to enrich those that are holding political offices. So for me, I will vote any candidate that is ready and willing to bring back fuel subsidy because is the only thing that will benefit the masses.

There are a lot of things to request from the government that has been missing in previous administration till date. The first and most important of them all is that Development should get to the grassroots and not just be concentrated in cities. if the new administration comes up and fails to push development to local government and smaller commities, whatever they do will have little to no impact on the average masses and this is not just a presidential responsibility.

There's still the issue of Job creation. There's the issue of diversification and investing in other sectors outside of oil and gas. there's the issue of working to Improve the educational system that's already dead and the need to Cut down on the pay that some of the government officials are recieving. Our refineries are not working and companies like shell and NLNG are still flaring gases. our Justice system is a mess and our Borders are too porous.

These and many more are real things that tye government ought to tackle if they are actually ready for leadership but as it's always been, when they win, they will spend the four years preparing for the next election.

To be honest, I would love to choose 24hr electricity supply, but let's think about this for a moment, can the average Nigerian pay up the bills for 24hrs electricity supply. Only the middle/rich class can be able to afford it. What if the next chosen president focus on trying to supply 12-14 hrs uninterrupted power supply, then build multiple industries that can create jobs for both the average and poor citizens. If the government can be able to achieve this , I am very sure Nigeria will begin it's process of development. Food is not an issue, the main problem is how to turn those raw food into finished product, by that the government need to build factories/industries. So in summary I would want the next or probably the incumbent Government to fix our electricity supply (12hr +) and building industries which helps in both employment and food. Other options are easy to achieve as  long as the government can fix this two . If there's jobs on ground, insecurity will reduce, and education level will also increase because people/parents will be able to afford educations for their kids. 12hr+ uninterrupted electricity will make companies, factories/industries to run smoothly without depending too much on crude.
