The majority come to the cryptocurrency market wanting fast profit.
That is why they are getting fast losses.

Quote
If you told people that having a good profit takes years, many wouldn't even come, it's a wrong mentality, fruit of low quality information from social media.
Social media influencers want the affiliate commissions from their downlines, so they run their campaigns to get people to spend money.

Quote
And the majority start in the most difficult of the financial market, the speculation that few have success at, the majority lose.
Wrong time to enter is when the market is bullish, but that happens with many newbies because of FOMO. Then the market crashes and they cannot hold for long, losing the money by selling at a loss. Meanwhile the person who referred you to the exchange has already received their 5%. Roll Eyes

One needs to observe the market more than jumping in it when they are new to the market.

And the majority start in the most difficult of the financial market, the speculation that few have success at, the majority lose.
With losses of a lot of money, stress, even addiction.

You notice that it seems easy to earn a lot of money fast, it's for few.

Mainly if you are a small investor.

What's your opinion?
That's why the goal for small investors should not be to become rich quickly just because they saw someone making it possible. We should always remember that each individual is in a different situation or position when it comes to becoming rich, there's always the right time and potential reward in each right investment whether you are a big or a small investor. As long as you have a better strategy to protect your capital, knows how to diversify, and know how to be patient by giving enough time for the small investment to grow.

Many small investors confused to opportunity with certainty. Making a quick profit is really possible, but the same as having losses. That's why it is always better to learn first and invest only based on our own financial capability instead of following the hype we often see in social medias.

I think the main cause of small investors lack of patience is their lack of financial discipline, which in turn causes frustration, and later give birth to lack of patience.
Lack of discretionary income is another factor that allows some small investors to sell their Bitcoin for emergency funds rather than holding it for a long term.
Mainly because if you are a small investor, that usually means that you never made too much money, or at least did not have too much money for too long. I understand the concept; I get why people think that way, but the reality is that we are not going to see that type of change for too long.

The best reason for those people to act quickly is that they never had big money, and they always had small amounts of money to try, and they want to reach that big money eventually. If they somehow ever reached a huge amount, believe me, they would be patient and wait too, but because they never did, they are too excited to get there, and they rush. Because of this, we end up with a lot of changes, which is the biggest problem newbies have. If you have a small amount, the goal is not to suddenly get rich; you can't, and you will lose. If you have a small amount, the goal is to make sure that you are handling this very differently and could end up with a lot better return slowly.
You don't seem to understand my point, which is that regardless of the seriousness of how small investors amass Bitcoin, if they don't have a discretionary income fund that will prevent them from selling in an emergency, they will sell their BTC holding because they have no other choice and the requirements of the majority of cryptocurrency loan platforms that they can use to obtain a loan against the BTC they are holding are always not fair.
Thus, the primary reasons small investors cannot hold BTC for an extended period of time/years are impatience and a lack of necessary discretionary income.

I think there is a reason why we have holders and traders, everyone who is coming into bitcoin or cryptocurrency like you called it, would definitely have a plan, is either they’re buying for quick profits, that is where they end up making huge mistakes, bitcoin isn’t a get rich quick or immediate profits making, people who are buying and trading bitcoin for a short term are missing out on tremendous opportunities that comes with buying and holding bitcoin for the long term, holding is never easy, which is why people are always advised to invest with a discretionary income, and also plan on having a backup funds, emergency funds, however if you do the right things while investing in Bitcoin, you will definitely get the benefits of your investments.

I don't think most people seek cryptocurrencies as a way to get rich quickly; if that were true, adoption would be much higher, since getting rich is what most people are looking for.

Of course, there are stories, real ones at that, of people who got rich with crypto, investing little and profiting a lot, such as those who bought SHIB in its early days and with memecoins (which I don't recommend). This is the kind of story that sells the idea of quick enrichment to those who believe in it.

A hodler is an investor who understands how the market works, who builds their wealth in the long term, and who is not content with momentary satisfaction, with cheap dopamine, and is not a frustrated speculator. A speculator is very different from an investor.

Many small investors confused to opportunity with certainty. Making a quick profit is really possible, but the same as having losses. That's why it is always better to learn first and invest only based on our own financial capability instead of following the hype we often see in social medias.
This is why I always suggest long-term small purchases, because it allows people to slowly get rich, and allows them to do a better job. Because if you put aside even just 50 dollars a month every month, and do this for 20 years, and you get an average of 20% return (which BTC can do, because while 2026 could be bad, 2025 was good, so we are talking about averages, not every year will be 20% but 20 year average would be) you would have 155k dollars in the end, it's just 50 dollars, nothing more, and you still end up with 155k dollars, make it 100 dollars and suddenly you have 311k. So in the end, if you end up putting aside a small amount, you will have great retirement money.

Newbies should realise this: they can't really make a lot of money from trading because it is such a hard thing to master, whereas if they just do this, they would be able to actually get a greater return without trouble. The only reason why they are jumping into making any money quickly is that they see people on social media doing leverage or something, margin trading, anything risky, even memecoins and NFT's were like that, and they end up with bad results in the long run without a doubt.

What's your opinion?
It is fair enough to say that many people who comes into the crypto space are seeking quick profit, that's why you see many people falling prey to scams.

I keep telling people that the crypto space is not a place to make quick money, they should either invest or save for their retirement through Bitcoin, otherwise it won't work.

Anyone who wants to come into the crypto space should approach it with a long term mindset, because there is no quick money here, the last time I checked consistency and discipline were the bedrock.

That's the reality, bro. No one comes to crypto wanting to wait even for five years, because history has given them the hope that they still expect, because they saw someone buying a Lambo for a few hundred dollars they put in BTC back in 2014 and bought a Lambo now? That's a long wait but they expect the same thing.

This is because of social media, because they always sell the outcome and only the good part, they don't even discuss the bad part, they will share they have made 500x profit from this coin, they won't share how much else they lost because their dopamine is not allowing them to, as they have already recovered and made profit from one winning trade, so they forgot the rest of the losing ones.

This survivorship alone is working as a fine marketing team, people in greed, want this, and they chase it, unknowingly they are being marketed to.

So if anyone wants to make money, they have to be slow, and boring. That's the game.
