XCancel Temporarily Suspended

Nitter enables users to view public X posts without visiting the X website directly or signing in to an X account. XCancel is one of several services built on Nitter, offering users an alternative way to browse publicly available content on X.

On Monday 24th August at 8PM EST, we received at letter from X Corp. asking to cease and desist the service XCancel.
The service XCancel is stopped until further notice.
We are seeking legal advice and won't share more details for now.
Thank you for the trust you have put in these two years of XCancel.

It was unfortunate when X made it impossible to view posts without being logged in. Before I could easily access any content on any of my devices but then it had to be on one I had an active burner on for the sake of that. Services like these made it possible to bypass that and access content anytime.
I should point out that Nitter also received the cease and desist not just Xcancel, so both operations are being stopped.

Let's see if in the weeks to come they change that feature and allow people view content anytime.

I tried my best to use Nitter, but it was never working good enough for me, and it was full of bugs.
If I am not mistaken there is also one open source android app that was using nitter, and I guess that is broken now also.
This is unlike another alternative for reddit platofrm called redlib, that still works correctly most of the times.
