Bitcoin at $80K: breakout level or another rejection zone?
Bitcoin is back around $80K after the sharp move from the low-$60Ks, and I think the interesting part is not the first break above it, but whether the market can actually stay there.
This area has already rejected BTC more than once, while the recent rally has been fast enough that profit-taking here would hardly be surprising. That makes $80K feel less like a psychological number and more like a test of whether buyers can absorb the supply waiting around this zone.
I'm not convinced that a wick above $81K proves much. A daily or weekly close above the area, followed by a retest that holds, would tell me far more. If BTC keeps getting pushed back below $80K, I'd be watching whether the recent breakout starts unwinding toward the mid-$70Ks.
Do you consider $80K the main level now, or is $82K-$83K the real confirmation zone? And what would count as a proper breakout for you: a daily close, a weekly close, or simply several days holding above it?

I don't see anything wrong with having Bitcoin from $80,000 to $90,000 if it will be bullish this time around while still in the bear season, that we are in the bear season does not mean the market should not appear bullish even though there is a certain limits to which it can go, this is why bitcoin is a volatile currency, as both the rising and falling creates avenue for people to buy and sell and be profitable in it investment either as an asset or being a digital currency for making payment.

Yeah, I see your point. A bear market doesn’t mean BTC has to go down in a straight line. We can easily get a strong move into $80K–$90K and still stay in a much weaker bigger picture.
I’m less focused on whether BTC touches $80K or $90K - but more on what happens after that. If buyers can keep it there, the whole setup starts to look much stronger. If not, it could just be another good rally inside a bearish market. We will see.

Let's skip all these questions because you can not answer them accurately all, or if you do it accurately this time, you will fail in future times. Predicting the market is challenging, with high risk of failures, inaccuracy and if you make decisions based on them, you will lose your money. In fact there is another easier way, investing and focusing on long term holding, then you will never need to have these questions as well as need of finding answers for those questions. In long term, Bitcoin will break out not only this $80k resistance or rejection zone, but will also break out the latest market's ATH and makes new ATHs. Let's emphasize, making many new all time highs, not only one after breaking the current ATH.

Since your question requires a speculative answer, I'll advise that it should be moved to the speculations board cause no one is sure of whether it's a rejection zone or breakout level, although it has shown bullish signs recently moving from $60k zone to $80k is a sign that it's targeting something above $80k.
For investors, this is just another news cause whether it breakout or rejects the focus is on accumulation and long term holding which makes investors less worried cause they aim for the future and not the current situation of Bitcoin.

This current price will not going to be the highest before the end of this year bro. Based on some research I carried out few days ago, I think the price of Bitcoin will cross $90k before the end of this year 2026 and it will make many people to start selling their Bitcoin.

Bitcoin at $80K: breakout level or another rejection zone?
I have a different view when the Bitcoin price, as we know, the market tested the Bitcoin price to the $81k area, but in the end it was not strong so the Bitcoin price weakened again to the $78k level, situations like this often occur in the crypto market, a sign that the market has experiencedcooling. In my view, for Bitcoin rapid rally, I think the crypto market needs a lot of investors to pave the way so that it can reach the desired target, I don call this situation a zone of resistance and rejection, because I need an even stronger support area to boost Bitcoin prices in the future.

I will re-reveal what I said in my local forum. Currently retail is divided into two camps, there are those who believe that this is a bullish movement and will continue to end the bearish season early and the camp where this is just a perfect structure for bitcoin to correct again and get its price DIP. The polarization is sometimes similar to the past, when most retailers believed they would experience another decline, it usually did not happen, and if retail expects at a certain price level it always fails too. On the technical side, the price is now looking for ways to break through resistance at $82k-$83k after it can be broken, the probability will be much better, on the other hand if it doesn't break through we can re-consolidate and strengthen the support position for the next surge, technically it always has two directions of probability, depending on the price confirmation that occurs, although it is no guarantee.
But personally in macroeconomics that the US is very difficult to raise interest rates again because if they do raise interest rates then their economy will choke, like you swallow an avocado seed, the only step the US can take is to do QE, one example is they buy bonds, and it will continue, the probability of financial assets even bitcoin will increase (in short like that), lucky those who have accumulated a lot of bitcoin in the sideways period this year and always hold they bitcoins.

Bitcoin is at a very critical zone that will lead to a major rise in price if the resistance is broken or another correction. For the upward rise should there be a breakout of the $82k resistance, price will target $90k where we have another serious resistance. On the other hand, if the $82k resistance is not severed, then a correction to $69k is inevitable and that may break the heart of many holders who believed that the bull run is finally here.

Or maybe just another accumulation range during which price plays jump-rope with the price $80k multiple times before it resumes rising back up again, similar to what happened over the past 11 days after price played jump rope with $60k-ish price.

Now people are wondering whether $80k is the taking profit range but months ago, when Bitcoin was traded about $120k to $130k, they thought of accumulation range below $100k or $80k. That's how people change their thinking, trading plans, and investment plans with time and market phases but they miss something more important. Bitcoin market does not care about that, it simply grows up with time, and new all time highs will be made by Bitcoin and this market. The market is opened for buying and selling, so there will be sellers and buyers around $80k but experience Bitcoin investors will see this price as great discount and chance for their accumulation before a next market cycle and bullish months ahead. The psychology of market cycles (Wall Street Cheatsheet).

I believe that's the one factor they don't talk about that's so important to the discussion volume. If the price breaks out at the $80K level, but on low volume, that's not as convincing as it sounds as it could just be a temporary move above the resistance level. If that is the case, and buyers have the ability to continue buying through the zone with sufficient buying pressure and then hold the price at $80k in the downtrend, then it would really lend some credibility to the breakout. If not, if there isn't enough buying pressure, then the level will eventually become a rejection area. In my opinion, it is better to use price action and volume instead of only a single exact level as the confirmation level.

There are those who say that September is a bad historical month for Bitcoin and that the prices is likely to go down, but it is another theory without foundation. In my opinion, once it has come back so much from the lows of the year, it seems likely to me that it will continue to do so, but I would never say it categorically. Could you give us some more details about the research you have carried out? Because the confidence with which you make your statement seems like you have a crystal ball showing you the future.

I personally felt (arbitrarily) 60k didn't seem to hurt as much as I remember other bottoms did, so I'm still prepared for worse. I do understand that 40k is half of where we are now...

After price broke out of that ~60ish price range.. it seems like it jumped to another range of the 70s and forming that rally base rally formation like photo I have shared below 👇 Based on this, my bias will be towards having a "breakout " rallying towards another base then slight pullback and back up we go again... market 101 stuff..

For me, it's not real until we get a clean weekly close above $82k followed by a boring retest that holds. If it just crab-walks at $79.8k over the weekend while funding rates go crazy, expect the usual dump to remind everyone why they shouldn't trade with 50x leverage on a Sunday night.
Of course and it could be a bull trap.

That is why we have seen Bitcoin fall as soon as it goes above $90k, the Bitcoin zone is there, but the Bitcoin price does not stay there for long because it has a big impact on the market. Below $100k, the Bitcoin price has some weakness in every zone, which has more impact on the Bitcoin price and adds more weight to the movement. Once Bitcoin goes above this price, Bitcoin has to look for strong things to move more. If the price goes below $70k, then this is the only strong zone at that time that does not allow the market price to go below it. But the way the price is going up at the moment, a strong zone should be formed here so that even if the market falls now, it can get support. This has happened many times, but at this time the market has jammed itself to a large extent and can continue to do so.

Maybe the market will rest here for a while and start moving up again. Maybe the opposite could happen, from my point of view the opposite is very unlikely.
Most retail investors are probably also waiting for the price of $90k-$100k. Taking profits at $80k may not be a good move. Maybe we are entering the market like a few days ago where the price was tied at $60k-$65k, and now it may be tied at $75k-$80k. It is not possible to say anything for sure yet, it will take 4-5 days to understand the market movement. For now, I can say that Bitcoin will continue to recover its price.

That’s very unlikely, I’ve been watching it movement and it only went slightly below 50k and pumped back to the low 60ks and maintained that price for a while. it felt so good to buy looking at it from the recent fall from ATH of 120k, best guess I did was that it wasn’t gonna get bellow that range of 60k. and I simply went in all and accumulated a few to my portfolio, I’ll be holding till the next ATH I don’t care about the market for now. The 80k isn’t that much profit for someone like me buying at 60k, I’m still hopeful that it will get to 120 or above than I can decide what to do but for now even the 80k seems to be a buy for me.

The price is unpredictable, there's every tendency that the price may change, so we can't choose a particular specific price as the confirmation zone for now.... The price changes, which it can go against what we may predict "unlike" before bitcoin got to 80k, so many predictors were predicting and expecting the price to fall below 60k due to a lot of negative news about investors polling out their investment in Bitcoin, but yet Bitcoin price still increases...
