To start with it's disgusting to see stuff like a pidgin only thread buh nonetheless people are free to do what ever they wish to besides it's a free forum. Secondly igebotz you are not supposed to delete posts of other people when they are not off topic or passing any wrong information.

If anyone is creating a post and saying they want only pidgin then fine self moderate your thread it's not that difficult to hit delete on posts you don't wanna see on your thread.... For the record this trend isn't a proper incentive... The vague nature of pidgin is a setback in most aspects.

You were ignorant of the final decision concerning the English and Pidgin issue but since you now know why the mod deleted your post i suggest that you should lock this thread so it doesn't give people the opportunity to spam, there's nothing to discuss again cause a conclusion has been made, however I support the decision of self moderated threads, it's the best solution concerning the issue, although it may cause division for short term but with time people would get used to it

Not true, then what separates us from the general board?  For a local board to exist, there must be a language barrier between a local board and the general forum and between different local boards, English is the alternative language to pidgin.

Have you done your research before saying that English is an alternative to pidgin? I'm not in for a blind argument. Come back here after you've done your research to know which language is official in Nigeria. You are right that local board was created because of language barriers but in Nigeria, we read and write in English except you will tell me that you were taught pidgin in school which I know it's not possible. It is true that a lot of people communicate in pidgin but still English remains the lingua franca.

This! You took the words right out of my mouth. I can only imagine if all the posts in this board were written in Pidgin, it would definitely not be easy on the eye and a lot of meaning in so many posts would be lost due to poor presentation. A mix of both is great, even though i have a strong feeling that those clamouring for an only-Pidgin local board are only doing so because it makes them feel more "Nigerian" than the rest of us, not because they think it is better, lol.

I would have preferred the mod to leave it the way it was till we can finally find a 100% working way to fish-out non-Nigerians  in the LB . I know it’s temporary but still..
It doesn’t make any sense for us to start having Pidging only and English only thread on the LB . It won’t solve anything other than creating team Pidgin and Team English  .  

The fact is the entire premise of this debate isn't even built on pidgin and English which is obvious secondly non Nigerian are not necessarily the problem here.

Yet, it’s built around it .. a pidgin only post wouldn’t have existed if the mod didn’t allow it in the first place and we won’t have had post deleting saga.

Since it now allowed, having people delete your post on their thread  wouldn’t create neutrality as you can already tell that OP deleted it , but when a mod handles it , it means  anyone could have reported your post and not directly OP.

Secondly, the new system will bring division to this local board and it won't make sense when that start happening. I would advise the mod, to try to prevent this division from happening.

Mr Joy-maker I don't think this system will result any form of division in the house just as you are suggesting.

This pattern didn't just springed up overnight. It was actually the case of intruder's, people hiding their evil did under the umbrella of Naija board that brought up this recent development of which you know pretty well about.

Moreover you were one of the user that supported this and now you want mod to do what, I don't understand.

Note, I'm not against the use of both pidgin and English on the local board, I am against those foreigners who are coming to the local board to hide or for whatever reason, even if they want to become members they should clearly state that they're not Nigerians but they want to participate in the Nigeria local board by doing this, the equation will be balanced.
