Chelsea Shirts Will Now Feature the USDC Logo.

Circle is taking USDC into one of the most prominent commercial spaces in football, having signed a major partnership with Chelsea FC that will place the stablecoin brand on the front of the club’s shirts.

The deal will begin with the 2026/27 season and will cover Chelsea’s men’s, women’s, and academy teams. The Circle and USDC logos will make their debut on the Chelsea men’s team shirts in their first Premier League home match of the season against Brighton.

We’ve seen crypto exchanges and other crypto companies partner with football clubs before, but this feels different. As far as I know, this may be the first time a football club has put the name of a stablecoin directly on the front of its shirts. It’s a pretty significant step for stablecoins and crypto adoption in mainstream sports.

I love to see that to personally, but the problem is no rich dude could spend huge amount of money without getting anything.

But on USDC they have owners that can able to pay to market their coin and this is what happening now. Many institutions see how useful those stablecoins when it comes doing those transactions you have mentioned. So no doubt in future we might provably see the usage of stablecoins grows more.

Unfortunately no, the deal is limited only for branding or advertisement only. They didn't made any deal about integrating USDC as part of their payment options.

If i have to be honest, i like the partnership. This obviously will boost the usage of stable coin and it's indirectly promoting crypto. It's also gonna pump the USDC transactional volume consider how big Chelsea's fan base. However, i don't like the logo.



Just look at Chelsea's shirt, and it looks a bit ugly.   I'd prefer to see Circle's symbol below instead of seeing them also mentione USDC like this

So basically a partnered with the USDC in my perspective as a fan of them in the EPL. I dont like the design, but when it comes terms of adaptaton in crypto its good to have an exposure even the stable coins this pokes the curiosity of the people about the term "USDC" so they can get enlightened about supporting cryptocurrency sooner or later.

Well if we seen that the merch and other things can be bought in their store can be paid with the cryptocurrency and ideally like the partnered such as the USDC its a really good initiative marketing.

That's one way of advertising and Circle wants to increase the demand for USDC. Soon, we'd see other altcoins and stable coins will buy those t-shirt spaces for advertisement from the other FCs.

If someone who's wealthy enough in BTC would do that, they'll get the support of the community. But since there's no one who owns the network and we're all individual owners, I guess that there will still be impact to BTC from this advertisement because if it's said a crypto, people realizes it's bitcoin.

I don't know how much that deal was worth but who is going to settle them the money if a club offer a deal to use Bitcoin? I'm not sure even the community will sign up for this. It's a decentralized network, it's driving by people and not a company that can decide what to do and they earn more than the amount a year, so it make sense seeing such adverts. I did see some exchanges last time, I didn't know how they came to that deal.

I don't know why Circle decided to push this kind of promotion, they already have the audience they need, anything beyond crypto is like they want to have a banking relationship where they can make partnership with the government. If it's gambling companies that are pushing this marketing, it's understandable or exchanges since many users are there that may like to use an exchange but I don't think people use for without an exchanges. It looks like misplaced priority enrichment.

This is actually a good development for USDC and those associated to it, and it will go a long way to give it the publicity it has been craving for over the years.

It would never be possible because Bitcoin is not a centralized asset like USDC that benefits mostly the developers. Bitcoin is a decentralized network as most users here have already said, so no one will want to step up to sponsor such an initiative, unless it's a collective effort by the community, because aside that, it's near impossible for that to happen.

This is a good promotion for stablecoins and by extension cryptocurrency, it would increase the visibility of USDC and more people would consider using it to hold their funds in cryptocurrency and also to spend and accept it, I believe that stablecoins would be easy to gain ground than the regular cryptocurrency that are volatile. I hope that it would encourage top altcoins to also advertise their brands on top football clubs to increase their visibility and trust, but I believe that top stablecoins would be more suitable for many people to hold because they are stable and easy to spend than altcoins. I know that Bitcoin doesn't need any adverts because it is decentralized, who would pay to have it advertised like stablecoins and altcoins that are centralized which their owners are profit oriented.

This is first of it kind having a crypto stable coin taking the front space of a prominent football club like Chelsea covering front of the shirts for both men and women and the academy make the visibility of the first stablecoin tied to the dollar becoming more visible for mainstream adoption,.This is the first but not first ever crypto related marketing, we have seen some crypto exchanges getting banner space advertisment on international stage like this one,  circle USDC own is first crypto stablecoin taking front page however.

I watched Chelsea’s first match but I never got to realized that was what was written in front of their shirts. This is really a big development for the crypto lovers as this ads play a significant role in mass adoption as they keep coming. I feel this will even sell more than exchanges and gambling adverts being placed in front of this shirts. Stable coins because of their non volatile nature will actually grasp the attention more for people to embrace even more than other coins when they do same adverts like this for their companies.

USDC is owned by Circle, USDT is owned by Tether it is a large entity, while bitcoin is owned by which entity? Bitcoin is only in the possession of the HODLers community, unless the club voluntarily attaches without any reward, but this is not possible right.

Not until now buy merchandise only using paypal and mastercard or Apple pay, did not rule out the possibility of payment will be integrated.

I also like this partnership, so I wanted to share it right away. I think the USDC lettering on the jersey should be like that; nobody would understand Circle, it wouldn't be a good placement. But the USDC lettering could have been a little smaller, I'm sure it would look nicer then. Chelsea's jersey looks ugly because the USDC lettering is so big, otherwise I don't think there's a problem.
