High fees on tron network?

I don't follow the developments in the altcoins market that often but I need a logical reason for a query.

Tron used to be the cheapest network compared to erc 20 but lately I have been noticing the network fee on tron is much higher than Bep20 and erc20, is there any recent development causing the price hike or it is simply the platform which I am using got insane fee for tron withdrawal?

The price of Tron before was very low compare to its price now. This could be one of the reasons the transaction fee increased. But tokens like USDT is heavily used on Tron network, that is another reason. Tron network has increased energy required by heavily used smart contracts which can be another reason.

Yes, polygon has very cheap fee. I use it for transferring stable coins very well, but I also use other chains like BSC, Plasma and Aptos. These are the four networks that I use for transferring the stable coins. I barely notice any fee while transferring with Aptos while also I do not see any fee while transferring on Plasma. I do not know the reasons these two networks are not common.

There is more to a network than just low fees.

Dapps, CEXes, DEXes, wallet support, all these play a big role in the adoption of chains. You must also incentivize users to use it, and lower fees alone won't cut it sadly.

I don't think it's sustainable to have dozens of different networks either, so sooner or later, more chains will die.

Tron blockchain does not charge high fees however USDT transactions which are classified as smart contract actions require both Energy (double the amount if the wallet address has never held USDT) and Bandwidth. to reduce fees on tron blockchain use wallets that support paying transaction fees directly in USDT.

If it was a couple dollar then it is fine but I noticed drastic change, they have around 8 dollar fee for tron but for erc 20 it is around a dollar that is why it is really surprising to me because I knew most platform offered tron withdrawal for free then it was like 10 cents but now 8 dollar that is a huge jump.

As of now I prefer USDT on Bep20 which seems economical and accepted widelt but still some platform only have erc20 and trc 20 not other chains for deposits.

According to the USDT Fees platform, Tron (TRX) network is now the most expensive network for transferring $USDT. AFAIK, there have been no recent developments causing the fee increase, it's purely due to growing adoption on the Tron (TRX) network. BTW, the Tron (TRX) network uses a system of active & inactive addresses, if you transfer funds to an address that has never had a transaction before, you will be charged double the standard fee.

If you're looking for an alternative to the Tron (TRX) network, try using Aptos (APT) network. For now, it's the cheapest network for transferring $USDT.

I do not recommend that Aptos (APT) does not yet have high adoption, whereas fees on blockchains like ERC20 and BNB are extremely low with just as low as $1 can execute more than 200 transactions. SOL offer more number of transactions.

The simple reason is that it's all due to the Tron's Energy and Bandwidth mechanism. It forces you to stake Tron in order to acquire the bandwith and energy, but if you're not interesting to stake tron, you have to burn some tron to send a tx. It's also the reason why the price of Tron is always moving up instead of moving down.

Everyday people burned, and it's getting forced by its contract mechanism. The only way to offset it by renting the energy, which will give you discount up to 90% from sending USDT transaction.

It should be noted renting energy worked so well only for those who didn't stake Tron. I know this mechanism is inherently bad by design because it forces people to burn and stake, but it's the reason why price of tron is keep steady.

Very unfortunate that move language based blockchain is having low adoption despite being fast and cheap, if they were more popular, they could dominate the stablecoin remittance niche.

If you're sending stablecoin, you should try using L2 like Base, they have huge adoption, almost every exchanges accept it, fast, and average fee is close to zero, the most recent USDC transfer on base that I saw only costs $0.0008 and could go even lower, definitely worth a try.

If you want to use USDT, simply use Plasma, it has zero fee USDT transfers and also as fast.

This is not about finding the chain with cheapest TX fee or no fees at all but also accepted widely. AFAIK, ERC20 followed by TRC20 is in the accepted chain then only BEP and other chains so I might choose erc20 for now which is the only other alternative on the site but if they have BNB then it is effective.

This is yet another proof that Justin Sun is a jester, the erc20 fee isn't even a dollar for sending a USDT, it is far lower than a whole dollar with how cheap gwei has been, a simple USDT withdrawal from exchange requires only 42k gas and gas price is only 0.05 gwei on Ethereum, exchange only charges approx. 0.30 USD for a withdrawal in Binance.  I won't be surprised tho, back in the days he even misled people into believing that tron will charge zero fee for stablecoin transaction, turns out it wasn't really zero fee, instead it was pay stablecoin transactions with stablecoin at higher flat rate

Locking 1.3k USD for a free transfer is honestly dumb and the sole subset of people benefitting from this mechanism is Justin Sun and his cronies who runs the validators, plutocracy at its finest.

Just like me. It’s good you asked that question. After all, I only run into "altcoin market situations" when I actually start interacting with those altcoins. Which is exactly what happened recently - specifically with TRX, where the transaction costs really bothered me (as I recall, they came to a few dollars).

These high fees are a good reason to use other networks (the ones you listed).

Personally, I don't plan to use TRON anymore. Why would I, when there are cheaper alternatives?

USDT TRC20 transactions also come with rather high fees, which is another downside.

So, while the rise in TRON's price benefited investors, it has started causing losses for users. Isn't it time for the project team to take steps to lower transaction fees? Otherwise, the user base will migrate (as I did) to other (cheaper) projects.

If you don't stake TRON or rent energy from other projects, stablecoin transaction prices in this ecosystem will be high.

I prefer using Ethereum's L2 solutions, Solana, and Binance Smartchain. TRON is primarily popular in China and other Asian countries, but some exchanges have very low withdrawal fees.

Early this year I remember paying 12 Trons or more in fee to complete two USDT transactions on the Tron network. The annoying part is how unawares the need for a Tron coin spring up when I want to use their network, and I barely own Tron, in most cases I'd buy or plead for a little tron from friends to finish a transaction, the fees always felt unexpected that I had to quit using the network. I think Erc-20 started taking Eth to finish a usdt transaction, Solana network seem to be the only exception for requiring native coin as fees.

What's the benefit of polygon over solana network for you? I was a polygon user before, but i feel like it doesn't make sense to use tech that's clearly losing the battle just because it would be less expensive. It would be more expensive as well if stress tested enough. Imho it's just practical to be familiar with popular rising network.

Solana is widely accepted and probably rises in value as well, so even that gas money i am buying now could end up being worth something in the future. That happened with eth at least.

The cost of sending on the ETH chain is now cheap like never before, the best alternative is BSC, Aptos, and Plasma as many people say.
