You cannot say that this is all what makes bitcoin special, although I’m quite sure if everyone is given the time to say how special bitcoin has been from their very end the list won’t be enough as we can go on and on narrating how special or what makes bitcoin special rather, it will take a full note and won’t still be enough . For me, there’s one special nature of bitcoin which I feel really makes it stand out among other cryptocurrencies such as its ability to continue to rise and add more in value even after the price goes down at some point in time. People are investing in bitcoin because they have the believe that the value of bitcoin will increase more than the current value they met it, that’s an enormous potential future value and believe.

Often, when I get hooked on a hobby, it loses its appeal after a short while, just enough time to explore it and enjoy it, and then it’s time to move on to something new; I’ve always been like that. Although Bitcoin is secure as a network but it will not protect you directly from scam or fraud but he biggest responsibility of a decentralized system is self custody, because in self custody, the private key or seed phrase is under your control but if it is lost or found by someone else, the Bitcoin network cannot save you.

Coming back to your post that it protects your money from scams, it does nothing for a person who can't secure their seed phrase and gives it to anyone. Self custody moves the responsibility onto you, so there are no recoveries, no refunds, no support.

Very simple, and a real security check it is. You know, sometimes, misinformation can be a problem, or when people misinterpret  an information. The OP sounded like, once you own Bitcoin, you are very much safe from anything called theft or scam, which is totally wrong. I understand that he is painting the picture that with Bitcoin, there is no interference from a third party or any other body, and that you are in charge, yea, but like you reminded him, the owner still has a lot of work to be done. Not your keys, not you coins, simply demonstrates that, he who has the seed phrase is the only one with the access to the coins, thus, you must always be active and protecting your coins, else, scammers may take them away.

The OP is actually misplacing the security of the protocol with personal security as a Bitcoiner who have to protect his/her keys or wallets. The fact that Bitcoin is self custody means self security and that means it's scammable. Stating this truth doesn't in any way reduce how special Bitcoin is or undermine the capacity of Bitcoin and the future it holds. This truth should be part of the basic knowledge that a newbie should have "protect your keys or wallets to avoid being scammed".

Bitcoin decentralized has attracted more people, when people can freely buy Bitcoin, keep it for themselves and exchange it whenever they want, which has become attractive to more people. People want to control their own money without the government or anyone else controlling it and Bitcoin has implemented that. Another interesting thing is that a person can buy and hold Bitcoin as much as they can without having to be accountability to anyone, in addition to this, Bitcoin can help protect people's valuable money from inflation and can bring big profits in the future.

There are many international companies that have not adopted bitcoin mostly the educational field. Last year, I was trying to make. A payment for a educational researcher in India but they only accept USD and there is no cryptocurrency payment method and we wanted to pay and published and article in the website so we have to leave it but if there was cryptocurrency/bitcoin there, we would have made the payment and published the article without stress.

Using USD to make payment in such situation, you have to submit your KYC and go to bank for some transactions and verification before you can use the dollar account. But with bitcoin things have been easier. What I really like about Bitcoin is the no KYC nature and cross boarder transaction without delay.
