Recently I got a notification from one of the exchanges I use for some shitcoin mining long ago and I left the exchange and everything about the mining because I started focusing on real things and making good investments for long term and creating a real life usefulness for myself, but however noticed I received some USDC form one of the minings I did back then after reading through everything it was a small amount that my mining was worth and was converted to USDC and sent to my address. So I was wondering if this mining shits still exist.

Mining is real, and it still exists, but from what I understand from your explanation, you might have involved yourself in some click-to-earn task or exchange reward, which is different from proper mining, and for us to know if what you are referring to exists or not, you will need to give us more details, maybe the name of the exchange where the activity took place or the platform if it’s different from the exchange where you received the USDC.

It is very possible it is still existing but many can be fake and scam while only little will be legit. If you remember the time of Pi, you can see many people made money from it. There can be other projects like that but just that most of them now are waste of time or scam.

I am not sure the exact kind of mining you are talking about but the one that was so trendy some time ago was usually hosted by some randome website and not exchanges. Then, all you have to do is sign up on the website and submit your address and then you will start earning small reward depending on how long you stay active on the website. Some of them were rewarding in btc, dogecoin or any random coin that might not be worth anything. So, it could be a similar thing you are referring to and I didn't actually get any good reward from those type of mining but it actually exist till date but majority of them now are scammers and the one that are legit are not going to be paying any great reward.

Have you looked altcoin announcement board in here? If you want to get in early to some fair launch coins, i think that's still the way to do it. Other way would be some profitability calculators and "what to mine" sites. But imho those are just for cashing out immediately and you would be mining against some shitcoin mining farms, so you are far from early.

That's however an impractical way for any dev to fund their project, so imho it's more niche, ideological and old school way to build something. I wish those would rise again, but i doubt they'll ever be as popular as they were.

Few weeks ago a friend of mine sent me a link on WhatsApp and I asked him what's the link for, he said that the link is a mining project called InterLink that I should create an account with the link even though I won't mine the InterLink token for him to have a referral. Initially I already conceded never to take part in anything airdrop but since my friend pleaded with me to create an account with his referral link I honoured his request so that it won't look like I didn't help him when he needed my help but I have never mine the InterLink token anyday. So to answer your question, yes mining stuff is still existing.

Minning, you mean tap to earn games that happened via telegram bots, the hype around the telegram mining shit have died down, but we can not say that the telegram thing have ended totally and the USDC you received may be the reward from your previous undistributed airdrop payments, and one thing to prove is that the project you actually participated in have not died and still in development, you can check to trace back and see how their doing if it worth you investing in it or not.

Thank y’all for your honest opinions this thread will be locked in few minutes but however the answer is in the comment of the first guy opichukwu, it wasn’t really a mining per say but one of those click to earn stuffs is much later rewarded me, I didn’t bother to read the full content but was just glad I got credited some USDC but it turned out to be that I participated in the exchange challenge through the click to earn system and that was my reward but however I also figured out that real lining still exist but before the information gets to the public to mine the real miners will be sharing profit already.
