I know the Services board is supposed to be only for Bitcoin-related services, but recently my report on a dollar campaign was marked Bad, and I don't really get why.

That brings me to the Service Announcements board: would it be allowed to promote a Monero crypto shop project there? It's now in Service Announcements (Altcoins), and I think it doesn't get the attention it deserves there:
It's a bit of a pity that I can't promote a service associated with a different cryptocurrency.

I think this was most likely marked as bad because the reward was paid directly to their casino account at $50. The instructions also didn't specifically say that they needed to provide a USDT address for the reward.Since the reward goes directly into their casino account, they can withdraw it in any supported cryptocurrency, so I think it can remain under the Bitcoin service section.
Quote
Deposit $50 and wager at least 5x through at least five Frogbet Original games, post your honest review, and receive a $50 wager-free cash reward directly into your account.

Since it's specifically monero I doubt it will fit that board. Buh I do come across brands that offers multi chain services there on the bitcoin service announcement..let's see what the mods have to say about it.

Monero projects are usually significantly more useful than the average shitcoin / DeFi / NFT slop that comes out of other chains, hence why I have Monero donation buttons, and even a node.

I don't think we should exile Monero developers just because this is a "Bitcoin Forum" (as written in the title at the top)

Thank you for pointing this out.

Does it mean if I add BTC support it would qualify? NullCart is now XMR only, but I will extend it to other crypto. It is designed for maximum privacy, that's why I used Monero. Adding other cryptocurrencies won't interfere in any way as long as the user can choose Monero.

Personally wouldn’t allow it for low ranking , non contributing members like OP..but that’s just my 2

Monero I’ve always held as a legit coin (maybe the only alt I truly value), with legit utility and not a Bitcoin competitor.

Hope all has been well my friend Smiley (took a bit of a needed sabbatical from stuff like the forum.   Back to cause trouble per usual. Cheers).

If a project fully related to altcoin and it's providing any service which is also related to altcoin it should go to alternative crypto currency while a service at least has something related to Bitcoin ( Bitcoin payment or something the project itself has related to Bitcoin) should be in economic > marketplace> service... Correct me if I'm wrong.

15. No on-forum altcoin giveaways. [6][e]
What does this rule actually mean?

There are many service that isn't belongs to Bitcoin or any crypto but because of they support Bitcoin payment they exist in service board.

And what if they own a copper membership?

Correct me if I'm wrong.
That’s basically what’s being discussed  as a likely solution to bring the thread back  to the normal Service board instead of the Altcoins service announcement board:

It’s actually self explanatory..
The forum doesn’t allow any altcoins giveaways,  not sure if there’s any exception in some cases.
nobswebdev isn’t running any giveaway(s).. what’s up with the question?

I trust you're on the right track but let's take a look on the clarity as the Alternative crypto currency section.
Quote
Discussion of cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin. Note that discussion of how these currencies *relate to* Bitcoin may fit in other categories.
Here we can understand that it's any discussions specifying only AltCoins or SOMEHOW how related to bitcoin should belong here.
Where bitcoin influences the AltCoins discussions COULD be posted elsewhere which I also suggest limited bitcoin discussion section.

Quote
Bitcoin Discussion
General discussion about the Bitcoin ecosystem that doesn't fit better elsewhere. News, the Bitcoin community, innovations, the general environment, etc. Discussion of specific Bitcoin-related services usually belongs in other sections.

Bitcoin discussion forum usually expect discussions that will be traditionally bitcoin talks to be carried here.
I think that's more reason I see why the forum is addressed "bitcoin" talk".
AltCoins discussions isn't required except it must not be made the subject of the discussion.

If he had devoted all the time I’ve spent creating the NullCart MVP, I’d have 1,000 posts here by now Wink The fact that I’m not very active on the forum doesn’t mean I’m useless to the community. I’ve dedicated seven months to this project so far.

I personally don’t understand why it needs to be distinguished at all. To me, crypto is crypto - digital money.

It would qualify for sure if you give options for users to select bitcoin or monero.
You could probably make separate bitcoin only version, but I think accepting both coins in the same time would be better.
Self-hosted shop is a good idea, but I am not sure how customers would have protection from scam sellers, so there is a risk.

Because this is bitcointalk.org. Anything that isn't Bitcoin belongs in the Altcoin section. Such are the rules.

If you add Bitcoin support, I'll gladly move it back (I think I was the one that moved it) or you can move it back yourself. Cheesy

I am moving in the direction of giving users a choice of which coin to use at checkout, and I think this is definitely much better than creating a Bitcoin version of NullCart. Bitcoin support is on the way, and in the future I will probably add support for more coins.

Quote

Thank you. My plan is not to provide any protection at all, and I am sure there will be instances of scams. However, scammers can also start scam shops on Shopify or any other e-commerce platform.

I plan to create a central website called the “NullCart directory,” which will list all instances and include a reputation system similar to KYCnot.me, as well as a space for the community. People need to learn how to assess the trustworthiness of businesses and find information about the companies they send their money to. The “NullCart directory” is intended to be a place where users can look up stores and evaluate whether they want to shop there.

Sure, but I think this forum is called Bitcointalk because, when it was created, Bitcoin was probably the only cryptocurrency. Nowadays, this forum covers a broader range of the crypto space, not just Bitcoin, and it is probably the biggest cryptocurrency forum.

Bitcoin support is on the way 🫡, LoyceV told me that I can move it myself when I am ready. Thank you!
