Mobazha
Hello Bitcointalk,
I’m one of the founders of Mobazha, an independent open-source fork of OpenBazaar.

Our connection with OpenBazaar began in 2017. When OpenBazaar was closing in 2021, we started rebuilding. The first rebuilt version went live in 2023. We did not have enough funding or marketing reach to sustain that initial rollout, but we kept building and are now opening the project to more real sellers and users.

Our aim is not to create another centralized marketplace that owns the merchant relationship. Sellers should be able to retain their store identity, data, customer relationships, and the option to leave. Operators can self-host; people who prefer a simpler setup can try the Cloud Beta.

 :)Current direction Smiley
Independent storefronts for lawful physical goods, digital goods, and fixed-scope services

Cryptocurrency and fiat payment options

Sellers configure their own receiving wallets and payment-provider accounts rather than relying on a universal central merchant balance

Self-hosted and Cloud Beta options

Open-source code available for inspection and contribution

Cloud Beta currently has no subscription charge, and Mobazha does not take a platform commission on seller sales. Network and payment-provider fees may still apply and should be visible before use.

We are still in beta, so honest criticism is more useful to us than empty praise.

We would especially value feedback on:

Trust, buyer protection, and dispute handling

Seller onboarding and self-hosting

Payment and delivery flows

What would make you willing—or unwilling—to sell products or skills through an independent marketplace

We are not launching a token or asking for investment. We are looking for users, sellers, developers, and practical feedback.

I've mentioned your platform on topics that had something to do with OB alternatives in the past, so it's nice to see that you've finally decided to announce your platform on this forum [I hope this means you're going to be active, as opposed to little to no presence of OB in the past].
- Out of curiosity, did any of the developers from the previous OB team transfer to Mobazha?
- FWIW, I'm still not sure what has changed since the last time that I checked your platform, so I'm going to take a closer look before I give my feedback in the coming days.
