If you had Rs 100,000 in 2001, where would you have invested in?
No doubt, I will invest the money in Gold. Gold is number 1 of safest assets, it has been proven for decades. If I still have remaining money, I may prefer to buy lands for additional asset. At that time, we still have no Bitcoin. So, I think these 2 assets will be the best choices. Surprisingly gold is not always that great an investment as it has no yield and can cost in physical security. The property or real estate can at least yield a benefit of some kind. Gold is a kind of security not everyone needs to own personally, the problem is the government or banks who should are mostly lacking hence citizens have to take up the responsibility.
Well. Investing in physical gold surely have a challenge. However, I think it is quite safe as long as we don't tell our Gold asset to other people. Government must try to give the security to all citizens. But once it is related to assets, we need an extra security system. So, we need to have a certain way to secure the asset ourselves. Aside of security issue, I think Gold is surely a great asset for holding for years.

Saving in the bank account is not enough because your money value is going down with time . If you have money you should not save in the bank rather you should invest in the property if you have large amount because your money will be safe in the property. I saw many people who were nothing in the past but now they are ultra rich of our area because their land price gone to sky and people purchased from them and now they have a land of millions of dollars and they made land commercial and shops are sold at high price and shops are out of rich and they are making big homes and markets . You should invest in the property first and should make long term plan and you can make calony .
Bank should be the least place where you will want to keep your money because they are not helping you and in the process you are losing the value of your deposit without knowing. If you put your money on a bank in my country and they gave you 6% interest after 1 year, you will lose 23% of the value of that money after the same year because inflation in my country is around that range. It's better option to invest in bond with 18% with your bank, at least you that one is better than leaving your money with banks while they take your profit and give you small investment. If the interest rate on savings is lower than the inflation rate, the purchasing power of your money will decrease. Therefore, it is not right to rely only on bank cash savings for safe money. It is more reasonable to think about investing to acquire long-term wealth. In that case, investing in Bitcoin can be a hedge against inflation. Or, if you have a large amount of money, investing in land, bonds or other productive assets, considering the risk, is a much better decision than depositing money in the bank. Whether the investment will be good or not depends on the potential return. However, your financial situation should be such that you can tolerate the volatility of the market and maintain the investment according to your plan.

I prefer real estate. Properties are always getting more valuable along the years, protecting your patrimony against inflation. And you don't have to own a property in a fancy or exclusive area. Even average and poor areas are having the prices of properties and allotments raised within time. If you regret not having bought BTC 10 years ago, you also regret not having bought a piece of land 25 years ago.
The only cons is that this kind of investment isn't available for every budgets sizes, meaning you have to own a considerable portion of money to invest. Nowadays even more. For an example, about 40,000$ to find something minimally acceptable right now on the market inside a city going from small to medium size.
When you talk about productive asset, i remember one of my asset, My parents have already distributed their inheritance, even though they are still alive. They give me two plots of ricefield (2x1.400 m2) and they bought it at USD 21/14m2 or USD 1,5/m2. So USD 2100 ( RS 100.000 in 2021) i can get 1,400 m2 of rice field. Today price +/- USD 3.350/14m2 or around USD 240/m2. So by buying a plot of ricefield (1.400m2)in around 2001, my parent profited from the surge in land prices around USD 333.900. Beside that since they bought, they rented out the rice field for farmers to cultivate, In addition to the rental fee, the farmer also provides four large sacks of unhusked rice. If accumulated over +/- 25 year period, the estimated net rental income my parent generate around USD 14,000. My father said at those year wealth and financial success are closely associated with the ownership of vast tracts of land as physical assets. I think beside that at those years the limited investment instruments known by my parents, who were merely a teacher and a civil servant.

It will be stupid of anyone to choose something else over gold, just look back in time what is the only thing that keeps adding value over time? I think Gold wins this battle, so therefore Gold is the winner.
Stocks and Bonds can fail or collapse but not Gold, and it's why Bitcoin is a perfect second option since it's not part of your list, but for me I would go Bitcoin first then Gold as second.
Still, I think diversity is the master plan over others, nothing comes close to diversity, have Fiat have stocks and others, there is nothing wrong in that.

Financial literacy, taught by educators like these, should become one of the core subjects of basic education in every country. Not only did you see excellent examples of "different life cycles of money" and, as a result, completely different outcomes, ranging from outright negative to very positive, but we’ve also examined just one positive, and the most obvious, benefit of such an education. The other side of the coin: now imagine how a country’s economy would change if people weren’t just consumers or "money destroyers", but instead, for example, invested more in domestic projects? That would provide a very powerful boost to economic development! So financial literacy has two very positive outcomes. As for investments - I’m a proponent of diversification. That’s why I don’t invest in just one thing. But I definitely don’t keep my money in bank deposits Parents should teach that kind of thing. And money in the bank why not if that is not the only place you keep values. Money in the bank van be an advantage. Parents can teach this on one condition - that they themselves understand finances and are "financially literate". The key problem is that, as far as I can tell, more than 90% of the population is not financially literate, as sad as that may sound... Some assets can be held in local currency, and that portion can be kept in a bank. But if you look at interest rates at banks in countries with a less-than-ideal economic situation, it amounts to a loss of funds - especially considering that deposits are typically quite "long-term", and withdrawing money before maturity results in additional costs.

One thing I would add is that comparing the final amount alone can be misleading because the purchasing power of the money also changes over 25 years. An investment can show a large nominal return while giving a much smaller real return after inflation, taxes and fees are considered. That is why I think the useful question is not only “which asset made the most money?” but also “how much purchasing power did the investment actually preserve or create?” Looking at both numbers would make this kind of financial literacy exercise much more useful.

The average human lifespan is 60–70 years, or perhaps a little longer or shorter. By the time a person gains some knowledge about financial matters, they are often around 25–30 years old. The period before that is generally spent traveling and enjoying life...
Let’s consider an average person who, at age 30, begins investing for the next 25 years:
If that person makes a mistake when choosing an investment that will provide returns in the final years of their life, will they have another 25 years to save?
At this point, it shouldn’t be hard to understand why people have always viewed assets with limited supply, such as gold, as their first choice...

I don't expect anyone to even think of anything aside gold, gold has been in existence for thousands of years and from them up to this moment it keep on adding value. Definitely gold because looking at it you can see that there's not anything that can stand to challenge it right from the initial. At my age now I am more than 25 but unfortunately I could not have money to afford it, buying it at that's particular time, the profit will be multiple upon multiple now. Gold is the only thing that is surviving for more than 25 years compared to any other products.

As for investments - I’m a proponent of diversification. That’s why I don’t invest in just one thing. But I definitely don’t keep my money in bank deposits I have stocks, gold and now Bitcoin. So I think I've diversified enough, although I think I needed more money to invest or at least cycle it. So that I can keep a generational wealth for me and kids and grand kids. As for bank, it's not that I don't put money on it, but I don't put it there as a investment. I needed it so that I can keep my self liquid. Anytime I can withdraw money and there will be no problems on my end. If you have stocks, gold and Bitcoin, then it will definitely be an important asset in your future that will benefit you financially. Everyone has a plan to create wealth and leave it for the next generation and provide them with a financially prosperous life. Moreover, the more money you have to invest, the better, the more risk you can take, the more profit you can make. If you have money in the bank, then it is a good method that you can use it in cash at any time. If you hold gold and Bitcoin as an investment, it will make you the owner of good money in the future. To be financially prosperous, there is no alternative to investment, so make investment arrangements and start a business, and anyway, those who can follow a good plan can own wealth in the future.

If we talk about investing in Pakistan even Rs 1lakh PKR could make a big difference . But the biggest surprise for me was mutual funds that had given a very high return in that period , including around 430% growth. So if we invested Rs 1lakh PKR and it grew 25%, it would almost become Rs 40 millions today . Offcourse these are the past records and cannot guaranteed the same progress in future but still it was huge. it was an interesting session and made me think what is my money doing while i m not using it? If you had Rs 100,000 in 2001, where would you have invested in?
It's an authentic point that if we had invested in the past, then even in Pakistan, we would be able to make good assets. Even a lack of investment makes a huge difference to our income, and it increases day by day through different methods, like future investing and compounding. But the technical question is: how can we choose the mode of investment without predicting the future? So, according to me, if a person has one lacking in 2001, then apply it to the field in which he feels safe and everyone is doing that and the majority goes for national savings. But with the passage of time, the Pakistani rupee has lost its value day by day, and it's very difficult to maintain it in the market. So how can we manipulate it even when inflation affects the purchasing power of strong individuals? For investors, there are hundreds of ways to invest money, like investing it in mutual funds or purchasing gold and if they buy it in 2001, then they know its price increased from one lakh to five million rupees. So it's one way, and we should always try to learn financial studies if we want to become successful.

I don't know about Pakistan, but in my country, In 2001, time deposit savings were a popular form of investment compared to the others. At that time, yield figure is extraordinary tempted compared to other instruments, ang many people think this instrument as the fastest and easiest way to multiply their money. Annual bank deposit interest rates recorded figures ranging from approximately 15.48% to 17.62%. On 1997-1998, my country face banking crisis which caused people loss of trust in the national banking system. To allay concerns, the government issued a blanket guarantee to eliminating public fear regarding the risk of bank failure. 2001, our access to modern investment instruments remained very limited, stock market and mutual fund are too complex, high risk less digitalized as seen today and my government not yet launched retail bonds. https://ycharts.com/indicators/indonesia_deposit_interest_rate

Investing is very good, it will increase your money, but if you do not invest, then if you save money, inflation will slowly destroy your money. So you can invest money in any way or if you invest in Bitcoin, your money will still be used properly, if you cannot use money properly, you may face big dangers in the future. Because the amount of money you save today will not maintain its value in the future, so inflation will gradually reduce your domestic currency savings. But if you invest money, it will increase several times, which you have proven.

The mistake most people make in our today's society is that they feel very ok saving money in the bank for a numbers of years without paying attention to inflation and how it will reduce the value of the money being saved, money that if it was invested in Bitcoin right away the moment he decided to save it up, I believe that it would have made some profit when he has decided to make use of the money.
If we are looking at all the investment out there and their growth potential, none of them beat Bitcoin, and in the past ten years, Bitcoin has proven to be the best asset to invest in, so I believe that in the next 25 years, it's going to be more profitable than the rest of other asset out there, since it's nowhere near it peak price yet.

Bitcoin went from basically 0 to $126k, an increase of millions of times in just 17 year. No other asset has done anything like that. But let's be realistic. That's in the past and Bitcoin exponential growth phase is already behind us. Sure, Bitcoin is still got plenty of upside left , no argument there . But saying it'll still be most profitable investment over the next 25 year is pretty biased, imo. We have no idea how the market will change over the next 25 years, what new assets or technologies will show up, or whether Bitcoin can keep outperforming like it has so far. Nobody has a crystal ball to know what the future holds.

Investment done over 25 years time can actually yield very good profit. For instance, investing in assets like Bitcoin, gold stocks can make someone very rich more especially when you are consistent with it. But the problem is that many people lack this patience, they always look for short term rewards, and end up not making the expected profit in their investment. Is just the way many people like trading, trading some of this assets can be lucrative but at the same time comes with inherent risk. Some of these long term investment does not require huge amount of money, you can decide to invest just once or invest with DCA over some years. Many riches are built on long term investment, but those who chase after quick gain end up not succeeding in many cases.

It's a wise to find a way to make the money grow over time rather than just simply saving it. If i had some money in past then i would have started own business first to get financially freedom. Afterwards i would also invest some money in gold and real state cause we can see the growth rate of those assets in past years. Some people want to have easy money quickly but it needs patience and proper roadmap before finalize any decision. Actually leaning about Money and making careful decision can help us to avoid loss and improve financial condition over time
