These are extremely useful articles for bettors that you compiled op and they are far more useful than the inaccurate rating system on your site in my opinion. Betby is easily the worst crypto betting provider out there which is why I actively avoid them.

Sadly, it's the most popular one too. Also, soft sportsbooks usually limit or restrict after a while(Some even ban) if they suspect you of value betting or arbing while only sharps tolerate them. Most crypto sportsbooks are soft sportsbooks.

The distinction between soft and sharp sportsbooks is actually something I want to explore further. I agree that limiting or restricting a player is fundamentally different from confiscating winnings from bets that were already accepted. A sportsbook doesn't have to keep taking action from a player it considers unprofitable, but what happens to the existing balance is where it becomes much more interesting from a player-risk perspective.

BETBY is particularly interesting because the same provider keeps appearing across otherwise unrelated crypto sportsbooks. What I want to understand better is whether BETBY is simply providing the risk flag/classification, while the individual operator decides what to do with it — limit, suspend, void bets or confiscate winnings.

And fair criticism regarding the ratings. I'm still refining the methodology as the complaint database grows. One reason I started publishing the Research section is that it allows the underlying cases and patterns to be examined separately from a single Trust Score.

If you know of BETBY cases I haven't covered — especially operators that simply limited the player and paid the full balance after a BETBY flag — I'd be interested in those too. Those counterexamples are just as useful for the research.

Thanks, this was a useful find. I went through the full thread and this complaint wasn't in the CryptoBetGrade database, so I've now added it.

Rollbit is already one of the lower-rated sportsbooks on CryptoBetGrade, but this case adds another relevant high-severity complaint to its record.

One distinction I would make, though: based on the material posted in the thread, I wouldn't classify this particular case as confirmed arbitrage/value-betting confiscation. The correspondence appears to point more towards an AML/source-of-funds issue, while the player says he was never given a proper opportunity to provide additional SoF evidence. The disputed amount was $3,386.52 and the account had reportedly already completed Level 3 KYC.

The thread also reinforces something I've been finding while researching BETBY: I don't think all BETBY sportsbooks should be treated equally simply because they use the same provider.

There are BETBY-powered operators where a risk/arbitrage flag results in limits, restrictions or specific bets being voided. In other cases I've documented, particularly at some smaller operators, bets were accepted and settled and only afterwards the player was accused of value betting, arbitrage or other T&C violations, with the operator returning only the original deposit and withholding the winnings.

That's why I'm now tracking provider signal and operator consequence separately. The more important question for me isn't simply “Does this sportsbook use BETBY?” but “What does the operator actually do when BETBY flags a player?”

This Rollbit case is exactly the type of case I want people to send me. If something is missing from the database, I'll research it and add it where the evidence supports it. Thanks for pointing it out.
