Is Cash-Out Really Helping Players or Helping Bookmakers?

This topic came about because of what happened to me today, yesterday I picked some matches which includes yesterday's, today's and tomorrow's games.

All the yesterday's games played out as they were predicted, but when today's games were playing because I had about three games on my ticket, but the game between feyenoord and ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands-Eredivisie was the match that ruined my ticket.

As of when feyenoord and ADO Den Haag were playing I was offered a good about of money as cash out, but I decided not to cash it out and the match ended draw while I predicted home to win.

Of course one of the feature that has become popular in sports betting is the cash out option, it gives bettors the chance to settle a bet before the match ends, and many of us also see it as way to reduce risk. Now this brings me to this  question, who actually benefits from the cash out option, is it the bettors or the bookmakers?

If you have a parlay of $10000, but it remain just one match but you can cashout to earn $3700 from $100 bet. That would be a win for the gambler.

That has been only when I think cashout can be helpful.

I would say both. If your goal is long-term profit, then clicking the cash-out button isn't the best option. You could have let it ride and just play the math, and wait how your bet ends. Who knows, you could win the bet and make good amount.

However, if you want to cut your losses and you think the previous profits are good enough, then clicking the cash-out button is the safest option. Because in reality, when you hit that option, that already put the biggest house edge on the side of the bookmaker itself.

I totally disagree with what you said, cash out is mostly for the advantage of the bookmakers. Have you used the cash out very often before? I have used it often before. There were many time that I supposed to win but because I used the cash out, it was at my own disadvantage. What happened last that make me stop using it was the day I selected a match to end with either win or draw but the opponent was winning. I used cash out in a way I almost lost all the money but the match ended in draw.

Within gambling and betting industries, those companies will always implement features and business models which benefit them more in the long term.

It would not make sense if they implemented something which would translate to them losing more money than they get into their pockets, don't you think?

So, even though some gamblers have gotten some money from this feature, in the end of the day bookmarkers are the real winners thanks to Cash-out features on sport betting markets.

Both parties benefits from the Cash out option, but I believe the bookmakers benefit from it more than the players.  The reason I said the bookmakers benefit more from the option is because,  the offer is usually calculated using the bookmakers own pricing, which means the amounts offered to players are often lower than the true value of letting the bet run.  As for me, I don't like using the cash out option, and there are times when bettors regret ever using it.

The bookmakers surely gain more because we pay extra juice on each ticket that's cashed out.

I sometimes see a few bettors show their success by cashing out their tickets at the right time, but to me cash outs rarely help players unless they have bets that fit the situation(parlays, outrights, underdogs).

If you look at the narrow side that cash out situation really nice and seems help those player a lot. But if you look closely, you can see that the one benefiting on it are the book makers.

Usually they offer the lowest value on your bet, they try to lock your potential profit while taking away those possible big potential earnings that you can possible get.

But somehow this is really helpful for those people either want to do cut losses or just want to have peace of mind. But on financial matters, this gives really huge advantage to the book makers.

Apparently, it helps both, but with how it's made available and not available, the timing I mean, it's generally helping the bookmakers more than the players. In your case, it's a waste you didn't take the opportunity to cash out, because your ticket eventually lost.

The feature to cash-out, however, was made available to you because you were winning so far and, I assume, the game between Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag was far from decided. If the match were already approaching the end and both teams hadn't made a goal yet, I reckon the cash-out option won't be available.

For me, this is win-win situation, some players that cashing out don't mind anymore about the amount they will get or the risks.

There have been times when the gambler cashed out, and the remaining game was lost, and there are times when the gambler did not cash out, and he lost. There are also times that the gambler cashed out and all remaining games on the ticket won.

Why not? It's pretty simple... The cash-out feature to you is a smart way to make profit even when the final whistle is not blown yet. To the gambling sites, it is a mechanism that is set to cut down on the cost of loss-per-user metric. When you let the game sit till the final whistle, you get paid in full which they treat as a "loss".

Now I only cash out if losing the whole ticket would really mess up my week, otherwise I let it ride.

Now you see that "let it ride" option right there? That's one of the nastiest IDGAF choices to make especially when you've already seen the value of what the cash-out button holds--- probably like $4,500 for a $250 bet. It's a gamble on another gamble!

Well the question can be answered based on the situation at that very moment. There are times that the cashout options actually do help the casino, while there are actually times that it helps the gamblers, but I believe it’s favored the house more than it has favored the gamblers, because several gamblers have missed lots of opportunities, simply because the cash out options made them lose confidence in themselves, and what was meant to become a glorious victory ended up with regrets, going away with peanuts in place of a glorious win.

It's a choice. No one is forcing anyone to push the cash-out button, but it's actually good that we have an option to pull out when we want to. What if you actually make a mistake and you already won 4 of 5 legs of the ticket? As you check your ticket again, you see that the 5th leg was a mistake.

Now ask again: Will the cash out button help you or not?

It will depend on circumstances, and sometimes we can feel cowardly and want to pull out. Or, we need the money so badly because that's our last gambling budget. We want to prolong it and make more bets that will give us the chance to maybe recover on the next bets.

Look at your situation own situation. You missed rewards because you didn't cash out it. So based on your POV, cash would give you benefit when you hit that cash out button. The problem is that your greediness to exit with the greater odds from your bets is the thing that ruined you.

So after all, cash out features benefit more to players only when players knows if he's not sure with their last leg, then they decide to cash out their winning, though it would be far less than what they accumulated at first.

It's weird you're asking for this because cash out feature could benefit you more when you hit it than the house.
