Monetarium is a hybrid PoW/PoS network, live on mainnet since May 2026, built on the Decred codebase.
It is mined on CPU, and the project currently runs a buyback program for node operators: the terms are below, after the parameters.

No premine. No treasury. The genesis coinbase is zero VAR.
Every VAR in circulation was mined, under the same rules offered to you here.
Check that before reading further, it takes one request: https://monetarium.online/block/0

Network parameters

Algorithm: BLAKE3, CPU mining; no GPU or ASIC is needed.
Block time: 5 minutes.
Block reward: 64 VAR, split between the miner and the holders of the tickets that voted on the block.
Miners receive 50% of each block's reward.  Today that is up to 32 VAR per block, about 9,200 VAR a day network-wide.
Decred, on the same codebase and the same BLAKE3 algorithm, currently pays miners 1%.
Both figures sit a few lines apart in one function, `GetSubsidyProportions` in `blockchain/standalone/subsidy.go` (https://github.com/monetarium/monetarium-node/blob/main/blockchain/standalone/subsidy.go) - read them there rather than take them from us.
There is no pool: mining is solo, through your own node, and the installer configures it.

Setup is one command.
It installs the node, wallet and CLI, creates your wallet, configures mining and registers a system service, so the node keeps running across reboots.

Today the whole network is mined by a handful of addresses, and the campaign page shows the live count.
The small number is the argument, not the fine print: your share of the range's blocks is your share of hashrate, so the earlier you come, the larger it is.

The buyback

The network is young and we want more independent nodes running.
So for one month, defined as a range of 8,640 blocks, the project buys back up to half of what participants mine, at a fixed price.

Campaign range: blocks 33,501 - 42,140, approximately 20 September 2026 - 20 October 2026; the range is what counts, not the calendar.
Price: $0.10 per VAR, paid in USDT (TRC-20).
What is bought: up to 50% of the miner's reward for blocks your address mined inside the range.
Cap per mining address: 27,000 VAR, counted across all claims from that address.
Minimum payout: $10 per claim.
Claim and transfer window: 7 days after the range closes; payouts go out in one batch within 7 days after the window closes.
Payout condition: subscribe to @monetarium_world and join @monetarium_world_chat.
Size of the program: at $0.10 the buyback cannot exceed $13,824 - half of everything the range is able to pay miners.
That last figure is a ceiling, not a budget that runs out.
Nobody's claim is reduced by anyone else's, and no rule in the terms scales a payout down.

Only the miner's part of a block is bought.
Staking rewards are a different kind of transaction and are not counted.

Your amount is public before you ask for it.
The blocks your address mined are on-chain, and the campaign page shows how to read your own number off the explorer at any moment while the range runs.
The arithmetic is not our discretion, and you can check it during the campaign, not after: https://monetarium.world/promo

Claims go through the form on the campaign page, and nowhere else.
No forum post, comment or private message is required, counted, or read as an entry.
The transfer address is published on monetarium.world and nowhere else.
We never write to you first in a private message, settlement never happens in Telegram, the only email about your claim comes from support@monetarium.world, and nobody will ever ask for your seed phrase.

One disclosure, so you don't have to dig for it: VAR is not listed on any exchange.
$0.10 is the program's buyback rate, set and funded by the project; it is not a market quote.
