After reading that Trump planned to sell early access to his tweets for 100k, investment in Polymarket is no surprise for me at all We are about to see insiders trading advancing to a new level and absurd excuses after insiders betting made people lose everything. From all that, story about Trump teleprompter fined for using teletext info for placing bets looks like a big joke to me

Polymarket no longer cares about insiders who abuse, maybe because their value is small compared to their evaluation so they ignore it.

It can be used to easily know what will happen. All what those United States' states are doing is only what will waste their time. If a company that Donald Trump Jr. is a partner  of is investing on polymarket like that, people should know that such site will be legal in United States and it will be difficult to go against them successfully when Trump is still in power. I believe Trump sons have influence and have connections with the regulators at the federal level.

It's obviously a political connection. What i can guess it's Trump's son who did that big investment to the Polymarket. It's a common knowledge prediction market has been Trump's family money generator. It's nothing new if he funded the machine that prints him and his family billions $.
Trump's son also warned republican to stay away from the prediction market. All of dots are connecting each other to the Trump and his family.

But i think Trump has opposite plan regarding prediction market. They wanted prediction market to be less strict from the intervention by law makers. So they can manipulate and suck the money from the prediction market.
It's the main cause why they even warned republicans to back off it.

Previously, I read about the first investment he made which was $200 million, this new $300 M just summed it up to $500 M investment on the prediction market. One of the main reason for such investment is because of the government support that the company is getting from Trump administration, if you check, you will see that the current administration has defended the prediction market industry because they also stands to benefit from it in this manner that such huge investment is made with expectation of good reward.

You know that about 9 states has fight to regulate this industry but they got sued CFTC because Trump is saying that only CFTC has the right to regulate the prediction market. With such support, you know what comes next is for the industry to repay their supporter which is the reason to this kind of investment.

About the question you asked, I'd say, strict regulations in the future could still be made flexible to the beneficiary if they have such connections with current administration of that time and as long as what is going on is never considered illegal according to their constitution, they will have successful deals like this.

Sounds like it. When you have someone connected to the president backing you, people will naturally think you have some kind of protection.

If this were in the Philippines, some would probably already call them “untouchable.” So even if Polymarket ends up paying penalties for violations, the bigger question is whether those penalties really matter if they can continue operating and making much more money.

Of course, this can and will affect Polymarket. He who pays the piper calls the tune. And if Trump is paying, whether it’s the younger or the elder, then everything will come to the point where Polymarket may “turn a blind eye” to the fact that they often abuse insider information. I won’t expect any strict regulations for the prediction market at least not for the period when Trump is the president. I can’t say when Trump leaves office, but who knows before then Trump jr and his associates might have removed their investment from Polymarket after making so much profit. Such a big money investment, and you think they haven’t done all their preliminary underground findings to be fully sure that their investment will be safe.

Of course, regulators could be under pressure if they start looking into cases against Trump Jr., because they won't be allowed to do their jobs unimpeded.
