It seems people on this forum hated the fact that BIP110 fork and blake2b exists, because no one is talking about it and the only single thread that says something was been shut down 👎 like it's a disease that no one should be talking about.
Something that never had any support and couldn't even mine 2 blocks after they forked off is not something anybody wants (5 blocks total in 25 days which is an average of 1 block every 5 days LOL). Consequently nobody talks about it either. We can even call it dead even though the centralized entity behind it is trying so hard to keep this shitfork alive.
And it just shows how consensus really works on Bitcoin. No entity from behind, even a so called Bitcoin developer can influence all involved in the consensus to follow his BIP. And for those who haven't follow it, completely dead by now, along side their intention to control a new chain.
Irregardless, the rest of your post is good advice. Although you should have also included the risks of shitforks and claiming them since you'll have to move coins in a dead chain without replay protection and you'd have to download some software that does it for that chain...
I think most of us here could have forgotten that era, as once there are ton of shitcoins being forked and then claiming it. Maybe those early claimants might have make some money out of it. But the rest, and just like what we have describe above, they are RIP.
