This topic is really confusing,  because you never mentioned what you want to buy, but if you are talking about purchasing bitcoin, I don't think you have to wait for economic crisis to purchase it. I really don't think economic  crisis has an effect on bitcoin, so my advice for you is to start purchasing now and keep accumulating, because while waiting for economic crisis, might lose opportunity to accumulate bitcoin.
I think this is also one of the major reasons why a lot of people fail to invest in bitcoin,  because they are waiting for economic crisis or a dip in price, which in my opinion I think k its the wrong way to go about bitcoin investment.  Anyways this is just my opinion and I stand corrected if I am wrong.

There is always a bargain going on somewhere in the market, however you have to be watching far and wide in order to jump on it. Usually the stuff that looks most scary has the biggest potential for a turnaround and the upside that goes with it. Take a look at the bond market right now - pretty much one of the safest assets out there traditionally is offering a very generous 5%+ backed by the US/UK/European governments and while it could go up even further, it is likely to plummet during a recession and everyone will want some of them for stability in their portfolio. However we're going through turbulent times at the market, particular with the ridiculous orange gimp in the White house making goof after goof of the world economy. Sitting on cash is likely to be much more harmful to your long term success than finding a reasonable asset to invest in now.

The economy will never follow your advantage, rather you have to use the economy properly and take advantage of it. If you have money to buy a boat, then why are you looking at the ship? You must look at the capacity. I can also say that with the amount of money I have today, it was possible to buy an entire village a few decades ago, should I wait for that economy now?
There are still some cheap assets that may become very valuable in a few years. Although you do not mention what kind of assets you want to invest in. Getting rich overnight was not possible in the economy of that time, so do not wait for something that makes you a fool.

Waiting will only make you miss the opportunity to buy at a very good price. The market is not after what you’re holding with you as capital, it will not trade to benefit you but you have to take advantage of every chance you get. You fear risking and want fast way to make it big through bitcoin investment, an unpredictable volatile asset, then you have to quit this ideology you have of the market and begin to be more decisive. The best time to invest was yesterday and if you don’t want to miss another opportunity, you should take action and invest now while you can. Bitcoin investment has never been better off than now, you’ll not lose in the long run.

First of all, you didn't mention the asset you want to buy if they economy crashes but even if it is bitcoin you want to buy, do you think that an economic crisis will really cause the price to fall so cheap that you can be able to buy? Bitcoin doesn't fall due to economic crisis, maybe global war can cause a severe dip but we don't even want a global crisis. You should blame yourself for not buying bitcoin when the price was cheap and now that the price is high you think that an economic crisis will make you to buy bitcoin, do you even know the fear and anxiety that happens when the market is falling and even if there is an economic crisis, people will spend more of their money than investing in bitcoin which means that even if you buy at cheap rate, the market won't recover anytime soon for you to make much profits that will make you rich as you want.

You shouldn't pray for an economic crisis because when there is an economic crisis, both the rich and the poor cry. You may think that during an economic crisis you can afford to get assets cheaply, but an economic crisis comes with inflation, which leads to job losses, business shutdowns, expensive transportation, and high food prices, making food a luxury.

I mean, all the money you earn may go only towards food. You just have to understand that when there is an economic crisis, you don't buy things cheaply. I don't really know what you want to buy cheaply that is making you pray for an economic crisis.

Do you think your money is enough when a crisis occurs? No, your money is only enough to meet your needs by looking at the prices of basic necessities going up during a crisis... unless you are a whale, you might be able to absorb some assets, but I don't think you are one. Also, when a crisis occurs, inflation will definitely be uncontrolled and that will make the value of your money fall even faster and that will make your purchasing power also decrease and you might think twice about spending money on things that are not absolutely necessary.

So what you think is quite stupid because to take advantage of a crisis to get rich is not a simple game, and not as simple as just buying a few assets when prices crash and get rich.. it is not a child's play.

just so prices might fall for your own usefulness you desire for global economic catastrophe? selfish! In any case, market will never move according to your impulses or mine. If you like you can keep waiting for collision. Meanwhile, those with standard will merely make their purchase and enjoy that. To you car market or real estate scene in Miami might appear like frenzy. But this is current reality & we absolutely have to accept it.

My suggestion, you should start looking for good option elsewhere that fit your budget instead of dreaming of market collapse, because time won't wait for you.

And keep in mind hoping for major economic crisis is extremely risky.
it is not just asset price that fall when market collapse. Many people lose their job, businesses face downturn too.
And essentially entire system risk falling apart most of the time.
In such scenario, there is no guarantee that your cash saving would remain safe.

I think I get what you are trying to say, however it is risky if someone decides to wait for major crisis in order to buy at a lower price. The thing is nobody  can be able to tell when there will be a crash or the deeper it will get. People may still panic and end up not buying even if the crash occur as a result of fear that it maybe worse than what they are seeing. Buying with a smaller amount seen to be the perfect strategy or approach using cash that has been kept for such purpose. If it happens that the price deep more or there is a major crash then we can make use of the money we set aside to buy more at a lower price. However it is wrong to wait for there to be a crash in price before buying because we may end up missing opportunity that the market offers.

I don't know how you understand economic crisis but is not something that would make you wealthy as you are thinking because is the period that a lot of people suffers do to inflation so even if is property you want to buy you are definitely going to be spending more than the amount you could pay when the economy was stable. However you shouldn't position your process of becoming rich or successful through the difficult moment of the country. Perhaps you have not witnessed what economic crisis is because I believe that if you have seen it you wouldn't have wished for it because even the money you have will not sustain you.
