Language matters for sure, language is everything.

Despite the fact that older people are older than Bitcoin, and Bitcoin is newer in this generation, they get scared to listen to it because they are not seeing it in the eyes, so it seems so fake to them.

Also, language will make it understandable especially comparing Bitcoin to a real world assets where they can comprehend, that would be even more better.

I explained to my old Dad, that Bitcoin is the same as Land, the longer you keep it the bigger the profit, but then I explained the difference between Land and Bitcoin is changes in price, price of land hardly falls or don't fall at all.

Now I dey think, do you think that language is somehow a barrier for some set of older people to invest in bitcoin, like if we start to dey use pidgin or our local dialects dey explain bitcoin and how people fit benefit from am to some set of old people like we go fit convince them? because the english wey we dey use sometimes take explain this bitcoin so dey make am be like say na one hard thing for some kind old people, e dey make them nor de interested. wetin you think?
I often ask myself, what do folks stand to gain when they go out in public preaching for people to invest in bitcoin? I'm confused. Please tell me a good reason why you think it makes sense, because it doesn't make sense to me.

Going out to tell people to invest in Bitcoin is risky. It has revealed the truth that you own Bitcoin even if you don't. You will become a target without awareness.

Privacy starts by keeping your mouth shut. Lots of individuals with wide mouths have ended up dead, with more of them getting scammed and abducted.

No, language has nothing to do with this, as long as whoever you are talking to understands the language you're communicating with, then you can talk to them about anything, if they would understand it now depends on their level of knowledge.

Older people trust traditional investments because that is what they have been exposed to for a long time. You think older people don't know about bitcoin? Lol, a lot of them do, but they may never buy it, because they do not trust it, the mainstream media has given them the impression that bitcoin is a scam, so they would prefer the traditional stock market for example, instead of buying sats.

For easy understanding, it's good you use the local language that the old person understand so that, he will give you more time and find interest in it. Yea, it applies to bitcoin too, because speaking English language to them will make them get more confused on how bitcoin works. If you don't speak English Language with your parents at home, it's the same thing with the elderly ones.
To explain Bitcoin in a simple way, it is better to use the local language that the elderly understand, which will make them understand Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies more easily because my idea translating technical and complex words into their local language will make it much easier for those elderly to understand Bitcoin.

We should know about some of the main reasons why changing the language can help the elderly understand Bitcoin, such as easy translation of complex technology, comparison with familiar banking concepts, and reducing the impact of English and foreign words. So I think if Bitcoin can be promoted to the elderly in a simple way and discussed in their local language, maybe they will feel comfortable investing in Bitcoin.

There shouldn’t be a change of vocab just to be accommodating for all people. If you’re not able to work or understand the system, then it’s not the system that needs to change for you, it’s you that needs to adjust to fit in the system, especially when the system is working just fine.
Vocabulary has hardly being a reason why people get to learn or follow through on certain career part. In fact, it’s one way to ensure uniqueness in certain fields.

If you go to the locals, you speak the language they understand, so that if you want to tell them anything, they'll wasily know wetin you the talk, there is this my guys that school in the northern part of Nigeria, that guy knows how to speak Hausa very well, I go say em the chew the language scatter, and because of that, any of those show cobblers easily interact with him every well, they also run discount for am and some time amen pams and show for am for free based on say he knows how to speak the language and they can understand him, language can make someone pay attention to your what you've to say, even if it might be difficult for some locals to invest in a digital asset like Bitcoin, explaining for them by making use of pidgin or their local language might make them to be interested in it and find a means of knowing how they can invest, conviction comes from what we tell people and it must be with the language they understand.
Sometimes this life is not really hard ohhh nah me and you carry am for our head…bro your head get oil sah when you made mention of North…on daily basis this issue they happened around here like mad, in fact those guy might even want to cheat because they know you understand their language so much, If we all sit down use head check am you go see say nah like big time cheat code, and it's kinda of hard for most people to understand such a cheat code it very simple you go to the local, you speak the language they understand, and you are good to come with the communication, so you mean your guy well well sabi Hausa scatter, and the cobblers no see am as outsider with big grammar…Now them see am like our person Result?

I don't think using pidgin English would make people that are not interested in Bitcoin to invest, because most of these old men are well educated people with degrees. Sometimes we need to understand that investing in Bitcoin is a matter of personal decision, because there's no way you can force someone invest in Bitcoin unless you are in charge of the person's funds before you would be able to decide for him. That's why we often say that we shouldn't force someone into Bitcoin investment. Especially the old people, because no matter what language you use use on them it might not still charge their decision. That's just the simple truth about it.

You're very correct mate, as a matter of fact anyone that doesn't understand English don't even need to know or invest in Bitcoin. Investing in bitcoin requires awareness of what you are investing on, so that you will understand how it works and also do things on your own so that you don't at any time blame someone that introduced you into bitcoin of anything as regards to the security of your bitcoin. No need to even tell elderly people about bitcoin because there's no way they will understand it, and even if they do, they won't be able to buy on their own and move their asset to self custody wallets so it just a waste of time explaining bitcoin to them.

Maybe you mean local language and not Pidgin? Old people that do not understand English in my town do not also understand Pidgin. The way it is in some state in Nigeria is different. But if they do not understand English and Pidgin, you can use local dialect with them. But know that those that are old do not like to invest in what they do not know. This is not only happening in Nigeria, but it is also happening in all countries. Old people do not prefer to invest in bitcoin.

When you say older people, are these the sets of people that are done with using smart phones/devices? People who are of this level of age will not find the interest at anytime to take part, and reason is, the new age is strange to them, and they have grown through a form of financial institutions that adjusting to a new one will be seen as a scam.

If the old people you talk about are those that understands the basic use of smart devices, they can easily be attracted, but for them to have the time to read and make their own research will be their barrier. Aged people will find it difficult to learn something new, because those things are now behind them, instead, they will push forth their children to be a part of it.

Although language fit be barrear Sha, why I talk like this na because say many people no dey too understand Englishz but when you  speak pidgin or local Language Dem go understand wetting you mean, but I wounder how you wan explain Bitcoin technology for pidgin terms to your elderly ones. Because you go complicate the issue for them. And another thing na how Dem fit dey interested again for this their age. Age dey affect old people reasoning and Vision or even their learning skill, wetting I dey try talk be say e go hard you to teach Dem to understand at that age, because aside from using pidgin or local dialect to teach Dem, you don forget say Dem don old and understanding level don reduce so dem fit not remember wetting you teach Dem. Just focus on the younger generation with brighter future, instead of old people.

I wouldn’t say “language” is a barrier instead I’d say communication is a key factor here. What the person did in this instance is a common strategy used by sales people to make prospects or whoever it is they are selling to buy their product or services. Communication is only effective when both parties are on the same page, in this case, using jargons like decentralisation or blockchain will only cause the other party to lose their interest in the conversation.
