There are some jobs that for some reasons people believed that artificial intelligence couldn't take although we have seen other people believe that Ai will take over everything, Elon musk has said one time that there would be Ai handling Ai needs, I may not have put it in his exact word but this was what he meant. Jobs in the medical field was believed to be a no go area for artificial intelligence like the medical doctors (dentist included), nurses, radiographers, pharmacist and so on, but all that is changing as Ai is learning too fast. This article on poly market https://x.com/Polymarket/status/2094848260150374768 claims that there is an artificial intelligence enabled toothbrush that is built to basically take care of individuals oral care. Based on the utilities of this toothbrush if it continues to advance could make the work of the dentist go extinct. There are also videos I have seen of artificial intelligence bots training on high pressure brain surgical procedures.

I thought we’ve gone pass these discussions about AI taking people's jobs? AI can’t take some jobs and that’s it, there are jobs that will still require Humans even if the number or scale of jobs available might be reduced, there will still be available roles for those jobs.
Medical fields are very sensitive fields and they run based on the trust from a patient, I doubt patients or their families will trust AI personnel more than Humans, so some of their jobs in the future will require lesser personnel but they won’t go extinct because of AI.
Let’s take intelligence bots training for brain surgery for example, do you think those bots will replace experienced and knowledgeable Neurosurgeons? Obviously no but they might help in making the surgical process more efficient and precise. And Toothbrush replacing dentist? Come on.. they’re way more complex dental problems that will still require an experienced dentist.

AI can mimic a human completely imo. If it still doesn't, it is probably because we haven't trained it enough. A human is a mixture of algorithms. Sleep, wake up, eat, piss, read, recognize, learn, mimic... Every once in a while we have our eureka moment and discover something new but that happens rarely. Most of the time it is all repetitive. AI can taught to be human. It is already a better programmer than many engineers out there... Soon AI will be doing surgeries as well. It only lacks the data and training, for now.

I think that the more personal jobs - like dentists or barbers - which has great potential to go wrong if a robot malfunctions (cutting off an ear or accidentally pulling the wrong tooth) will last far longer than some other jobs that people thought were less replaceable. Dangerous jobs like deep sea divers, power line maintenance, plumbers, taxi drivers or even jobs like being a lumberjack could find themselves out of work if some of these humanoid looking robots get the right instructions. There have been some videos lately of some very well balanced and articulated robots which in theory have greater dexterity with less chance of errors. They could also have oversight of important stages built in with an external person monitoring the work until they're of a high enough standard to do it autonomously. For the personal jobs though, I actually prefer the human bond and relationship over any kind of robotics getting in the way - there would have to be some massive improvement like quality or speed, with a long history of safety before going that route.

Yes Ai is already learning how to perform high pressure, high risk surgeries, I strongly believe if artificial intelligence continues to learn and improve on that and finally perfects that then there is absolutely nothing that artificial intelligence won't be able to do. Let's imagine a world where artificial intelligence improves health care I think then the price of getting that health care would go up and since artificial intelligence is taking human jobs away this will cause a big gap in attaining something as important as health care.

This AI matter has been discussed countless times and right now it's beginning to be more serious than usual, people debate if AI will take away peoples job or not, but with the look of things AI is developing and advancing seriously day by day and the aspect we think it can't cover it is gradually creeping it, and am afraid if it continues to develop it will take away the job of many people. Now AI many website use AI as customer contact agent for minor issues why human for more serious issues, and that alone will replace human in their jobs. Now the movies are no longer human but AI animated videos is everywhere and hardly you see movies acted by real human. Very soon Hollywood or Nollywood and many other big movies industries will no longer have the desire to act movie since animated has taken their job. Now surgery which happens to be a delicate and complex job that requires only human to do is now done by advanced AI, now tell me why human will mot be afraid of Ai taking their job.
Am afraid wether we like it or not AI will take away almost %70 human job in the future if it continues like this.

There are also videos I have seen of artificial intelligence bots training on high pressure brain surgical procedures. The problem was that people are afraid and when they are emotional they make arguments that come from emotion. They are afraid for their future, for the jobs and that is why they make up things like some jobs that AI can do. If we had real AI which we could call AGI, and if we had some robots like from sci-fi movies then what would be the limit for it and why would there be a limit? Every job that you can think of today can be replaced, the issues is not of being possible or not. The question is only if we are going to be able to realize it technologically and with engineering, and when this might be. We have seen a rapid development in robotics in the past few years which has happened in parallel to AI technology. I would not be quick to jump to conclusions that any jobs are safe. When it comes to AI servicing AI or robots servicing other robots, that would be the end stage. But with a situation like that there are only two possible paths. Either humans will live in an utopia where needs are fulfilled and the Earth is a clean and healthy place, or it will be a hell of extreme inequality..

The optimism of some people who have invested in this AI companies tell that for sure AI will raise to the extent of replacement in every industry but however the market and its structure will not allow it to happen now, we can see how much impact it is already making and how they are trying to tackle to negative usage where people use it for evil actives than what it was meant to be so of course they will be able to replace a lot but for now let’s work on our self to keep it afloat than scare ourselves of nothing yet to happen.

Even the ones that AI can replace, do not just focus only on those Western world narratives. The way they talked about EV and non petrol vehicles in the past, I thought the world would be without petroleum vehicles by now.

Of course, I think it might likely be possible for that to happen in the future. But then we don't have to start being afraid for now, because it's too early. Though I think the whole thing is actually getting out of hand, and that's exactly why we keep on have this discussion, because it's obvious now that the more days break, that's how AI is advancing more and more. So I think it will definitely affect a lot of people if something reasonable is not done about it.

I would never trust AI with my health. I will only consult real people who know real knowledge, but I will also use AI for research purposes. But operation is that one thing I would never suggest, even if there are AIs that can do this. So far, I have not seen any, because we are still so far. The developments are being made mostly by China in robotics. Their robots can dance, fight, run, and can do many things, but all just programmed and remotely controlled. AI itself is not that advanced yet that it could operate or replace a dentist. I don't even trust Tesla. You want me to trust a robotic dentist? Haha, bro, maybe in another life, not in this one.

It is funny to think AI can replace humans; this is just mere FUD and hype. AI will only reduce the number of employees needed in a firm but it can not replace real human input in any role. Assuming we have 10 electrical engineers in a firm it can reduce the number to 5, but it can't go beyond that. Any firm that completely replace its workers with ai will likely run into trouble. Here are some companies that has failed woefully in an attempt to replace humans with ai: *Klarna [1] https://www.digitalapplied.com/blog/klarna-reverses-ai-layoffs-replacing-700-workers-backfired *Ford [2] https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgrkd41n2v9o There are so many other companies I could list. The truth is, no matter how ai evolves, it will still rely on a final verification and approval by humans. I will take for example, the translation industry; there are so many ai models and tools that can translate a 1000 pages article but at the end to be sure of the quality of these translations performed, a localisation agency will need a human who will perform an MTPE on the translated articles and a final proofreader as well. In a nutshell, I believe ai will not make us lose our jobs instead it will create other job opportunities for professionals.

The development of AI is indeed proceeding at a rapid pace. Despite the various pros and cons, this is a trend we cannot avoid. AI continues to evolve. In the past, it might have been used only for specific purposes. But today, its applications are expanding significantly. We even see movies and dramas created using AI. Many of which are incredibly engaging, sometimes even requiring payment to access more content.
Furthermore, AI is already highly influential in the industrial sector. It drives robotic automation, machine maintenance, computer vision, and more. This will make the job market increasingly competitive. While human labor remains necessary. The demand for it may well decline as AI technology becomes more sophisticated.

AI is still far out of reach to replace human resources and that's just a simple fact. Even if they get to learn the job, when it comes to performing complex operations on humans, they may not know or see a difference or something else that the human eyes and instinct can and it may only make humans take up the more complex roles while AI takes up jobs of diagnostics instead. Besides there's going to be huge economic lapses if AI takes over human jobs because how will humans earn to afford the service or products if they are without a paying job? Also is the case of license to operate a business, who would get liable to be sanctioned, fined, held liable, face a lawsuit for wrong doings if AI is the one doing the jobs?

With AI existence, doctors, nurses, dentists and other professionals in medical jobs will change how they work but AI will never replace them, not today or sooner. Because these kind of jobs require emotions, and AI cannot show human empathy, physical care and even legal and ethical liability. So its far from replacing them even in the next years to come.
However, AI can be a lot of help to this kind of jobs. AI will make them easier and more convenient for medical professionals.

Let's say AI will definitely take these medical jobs in the next possible years, but I don't think they're reliable enough especially that this is not just a simple job, but this is more between life and death especially for doctors and nurses. However, I really believe that they can be of great use as tools in the medical field, but they will never replace such doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacies. Otherwise, if they make errors and cause threat and danger to the people's health, I don't think they'll be liable enough, even their inventors themselves.

Like he said, if AI can manufacture the food you eat, dominate the entertainment industry, and transportation, what do you need money for? I don't know how this can be possible. I believe in AI, and I know there are some areas of life in which AI is even better at the job than humans. AI can play a good role in some medical fields, but I doubt that AI can completely replace humans in medicine and other medical-related fields.

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace will do the following; - take jobs - create new jobs
There are just some jobs that AI can't do no matter the level of training. A human agent must have to perform those jobs. I remember the company that fired its engineers claiming AI could do their job and after a while they had to get the engineers back.
In the medical field, doctors will just need to have AI training as part of their training module...
Believe me AI companies are racing to be ones first in the hospitals and to train the doctors to use their tools.
There is money to be made, new job roles and specializations.
