All of the casinos I play have upfront KYC and I believe those kind of casinos are legit and reputable. I also never had any issues with KYC being rejected. You should avoid those shady casinos since they can block your withdrawal if you win too much and one strategy they can use is the KYC verification. To me i think they intentionally make the time for the verification to be long so that those folks who can't wait will just end up gambling back their wins, and who knows you might end up losing the wins before they even confirm the verification .

FYI, passing KYC doesn't mean you will never asked for reKYC again, a casino can ask you at any point to do the verification whether you did previously or not. I do not think it is all casino that does this, there are some Casino that won't ask for KYC when registering and they won't ask you even after a huge win especially those of them that are legit and not scam. Some casinos will still allow users to withdraw their large wins after passing verification even though they didn’t do full verification yet as of the time of them depositing. You can't be so sure that casinos don't allow their customers to pass KYC before they start gambling, the truth is that most gambling site or casino will allow you to pass all your KYC before using their gambling sites, but some don't mind you do small and start gambling, but that doesn't mean you have passed KYC complete, they might allow you to withdraw an amount that your KYC can allow base on their rules and regulations, but If your wining is beyond your KYC level, you will need to complete it base on the TOS before withdrawal. It is no surprise that the requirement for KYC is immense when withdrawing large sums of money. This does not apply to all gamblers as only suspicious players need to undergo KYC verification. I disagree with the notion of submitting KYC documents after creating an account. You will never be able to find a perfect casino. And eventually, you will keep running after another casino. So, personal information should not be deliberately spread.
