You will be blaming the leaders, almost everybody in Nigeria are thieves.

More than one hundred mattresses, bedsheets and mosquito nets have been donated to the Awe Local Government General Hospital and some primary healthcare facilities across the area.

The donation was made by the Member representing Awe North Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hudu A. Hudu, as part of efforts to improve healthcare delivery and the welfare of patients in the constituency.

All what this man donated are not seen.

Any well being Nigerian knows that corruption goes beyond what politicians at the federal, state or local government level are carrying out. The police man is corrupts. the teachers, lecturers, nurses, doctors, engineers some pastors and even an average person that sells provision on the street is as corrupt as the president. some of them are just quiet because they do not have the opportunity of stealing public funds. give them the opportunity of managing public funds and they show you that they are worse than the worst of politician.

that most of our constituencies are not enjoying basic privileges' is not always that the money for project where not allocated. it is that before it goes from the top to the bottom, it goes though different hands and each of them continue to take from it till it almost amount to nothing by the time it gets to the constituency.

It will be difficult for Nigeria to work as a country because Nigerians are so corrupt that any Nigerian who's given an opportunity to head a department will just want to embezzle things that will make the department to function properly, the mindset of Nigerians sometimes make me not to blame Bola Ahmed Tinubu for not seeing his subjects as his number one priority because if a typical Nigerian man is in Tinubu's shoes he will still behave like Tinubu. I think it's high time a law that will see anyone found guilty of corruption face a death penalty should be implemented in Nigeria, this will help in a long way to combat corruption and gradually fix Nigeria.

Funny enough these groups of people can’t handle little power, the governorship power is already too high for them if they start misusing this one. This pattern has been for long, people in charge try to steal from a charity program especially during the flood time when the government donates free food, property etc, instead of sharing they choose to hoard the items afterwards when every damage has already been made they still choose to sell everything, no human sympathy.

As a matter of fact nothing irritates me more than the Nigeria police force, aside putting the blame on President Tinubu or so, the police system is very bias with judgment definitely they’re the first to be mentioned when it comes to corruption no doubt, the free will of power has gotten to another level when civilians are not safe anymore.

All these things still boil down to bad government. It is the lack of a system that makes it possible for the things bought to disappear. A bad government is the reason there is a lack of a system. It is in human nature to act that way, that is why there is a system to make sure humans act right. If these same people were in a system where there are people that monitor them and make sure they do what the money or materials given to them are meant to do, they will do the right thing. There has to be oversight in everything.  But in Nigeria, nobody is accountable to anybody. So why won't the country be anyhow?

The Senate and House of Reps don't know that it is their job to make sure the president is in check, The house of assembly don't know that it is their job to keep the governor in check, the media and journalists don't know that it is there right to keep all government officials in check. The judiciary don't know that it is their job to keep the other two arms of government in check. Even the people don't know that it is their right to keep their elected politicians in check. Nobody knows their job and nobody is willing to do their job. So why would the country work? Humans will keep a law unless that law is enforced properly. Lack of a working system is the biggest problem with Nigeria and this is because we have the worse government in the world.

All the staffs in that hospital should be arrested and if found guilty they should all go to prison because it is becoming as though nobody is watching over the watch-man. If you are very active in the social media, you will see how people are going through different sort of illness that are terminal illness in Nigeria, some of these illnesses could have been cut short if they had been proper medical equipment in some of our hospitals in the local area. If some of the equipments are available in our local hospitals in the rural areas most of the times ill people wouldn't even come to the Urban areas for medical issues, but for you to entirely steal equipments that were provided by the government is really a no no for me.

You are right about the flood because that's were this steeling happens a lot

It's acceptable that almost all Nigerians are corrupt, corruption has eaten deep in all departments of the country but the reason why the politicians are mostly mentioned is that are the root of every misleading activities happening in the country, if there has been a working law in the country that affects the rich not just the poor Nigeria would have been a better place.

Now everyone wants to be part of following the country the way they made it to be, it's difficult to find a sincere person, some who can deliver when a little power is been given to him or her, sincerely speaking it's not just the politicians that are corrupt in the country but they are the source of corruption in the country so we should blame them the most.

When i read about the news that happened at Awe Northern constituency in Nasarawa state i felt really bad and asked myself can Nigeria ever be better again? if same masses that need a change in governance could be this selfish, wicked and dubious at any slight opportunity especially when the government have offered to help it shows how deep corruption has eaten into the country, with such occurrence will the Assembly member even be moved again to do anything for that constituency?

Same thing happened in Rivers state when the then governor Rotimi Ameachi bought lots of computers for primary school students across the state, if you check most of those Primary schools today you will observe that most of those computers have been stolen by either the principals etc, even during the end SARS protests a lot of citizens used the opportunity to steal and vandalize government properties, infrastructures that they were supposed to protect considering the fact that there are few functional government structures yet the little available once is still being vandalized by the masses at any slight instance.

I fear for the future of Nigeria because both the politicians and citizens are corrupt, i even feel that the citizens are more corrupt than the politicians, even if this current politicians are voted out the next generation of politicians will be far worse judging from the current statistics.

This is a reflection of how the Nigerian society has decayed over the years. The level of poverty amongst the people is what’s enabling this sort of behaviors. Imagine a society that’s working, where almost everyone has means of survival and their basic needs are met. Do you think they will have need to steal ordinary mattress and mosquito nets and other supplies from the hospitals? The Senator should ask himself why are sane people are going to the hospital to steal what’s meant for their wellbeing.

I’m not encouraging the people that stole those supplies, but as a country, we should focus more on tackling what is causing the locals to engage in such acts. You can’t weaponize poverty in a country and don’t expect unpatriotic behaviors from the people. The senator should not arrest anybody, he should focus on buying new supplies and make sure they employ security for the hospitals, the money is there. He should also focus on improving the living conditions of his constituents so they won’t steal again in the future.

I can tell you for free that those who are not even politicians in this country are more corrupt and evil than the politicians themselves, now take a look at what the staffs and management of Awe health care has done and some of them will be pointing hands at law makers that are not performing their duties yet they nurtured and carry out such evil against humanity, how do they feel selling what was provided to enhance proper medical care and this things are hard to come by because the leaders don't pay prior attention to the healthcare and one has been provided and they sold it, too bad.

This is not the first time this kind of act is taking place by this social workers, during the tenure of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, he donated computers to all the healthc centers he built and till date those computers where no where to be found and the workers there sold all, will this country be better anyday when we are the cause of our problems?, let the law maker prosecute all those involved and set them as example so others could learn.

How come one hundreds mattresses, bedsheets and mosquito disappeared from the hospital without the hospital knowing anything about it. Can it even be possible that materials these many could disappear from the hospital without a single trace that means what happens didn't occur by mistake rather it was a calculated plan which involved maximum cooperation from all staffs.

These people don't have conscience at all because of they had any left, those items that was donated by the honourable won't have been tampered with.

In every institution and leadership body, there is always a trace of corruption and unjust decision making. Many Nigerians blame the government for their incompetency and failure to fulfill their promises in the manifesto, but so many would do worst when they are placed in the same position.

There is an aura that power carries, it clouds the human emphaty and feeds greed, no amount is ever enough for these politicians. They take politics as a way of accumulating generational wealth and forgetting their civic duty to serve the people, that's a problem that would remaim unsolved for a long time.

Those police are just another case entirely. The mistake person can ever make is dressing too well. Because ones you do police will already see you as a prime suspect for a crime that you did not even commit. Every time it has become a normal something for popo to pack boys with that their small mini bus so they can later collect bail fee from them tor a crime they didn't even commit.

Some Nigerian too are fucking hypocrite. If they are not , then how will they be shouting up and down about how corrupt the Government, but even these same people that are blaming government are also worse than the government. How can you be collecting bribe from another person that is suffering like you are and you still be part of the people that will open that your big unwashed mouth to blame the government, isn't that hypocrisy huh? RN, corruption is everywhere. It is in hospitals, in schools, in church. And it has become so normal in some places that  can make it very difficult to change.

I agree that corruption is not only a government problem; it is also a reflection of the values within society. But I wouldn't use that to excuse bad leadership. Power should come with greater responsibility, not a stronger appetite for personal wealth. The real change will come when institutions are strong enough to hold leaders accountable, regardless of who is in power. Until there are consequences for abusing public trust, politics will continue to look more like a path to wealth than a duty to serve.

You will be blaming the leaders, almost everybody in Nigeria are thieves.
Most Nigerians complaining about our leaders don’t have opportunity, they will have been worst than them. When some people are given opportunity to hold a position, they will even embezzle money more than the people currently in the position. When i see most of the youths coming up in the country, I just shake head, because most of them are not even suppose to be allowed to hold any public position, they going to be worst.

When I saw the news I was just shaking my head, I don’t know why some people don’t have human sympathy, how will a material be donated to a hospital, and you will end up selling those materials and share the money. The material shared is suppose to be used to improve the health care system, but some people decided to hide the materials. Seriously when those people are caught, they should be properly punished.

Those people are going be worst than all this corrupt politicians we have in this country because if a whole staff could steel an ordinary Mattress and other things that belongs to people they would definitely steel anything if they have the opportunity to do it, and this might not even be their first time with the courage they have, actually they shouldn't set them free if they admitted guilty of steeling those things so that other general Hospital staff who are also steeling the donations that's meant for people will think twice before doing anything, another thing they should also do is sacking them immediately. You are right about the flood because that's were this steeling happens a lot
Is funny how you called it an ordinary mattress and all of that they stole, humans mentality are operating in different ways such that what seems ordinary to you can mean a whole lot to others and that is life for you, definitely they stole those things to sell and sell at very cheaper price, just so bad because the money is not even going to solve their problems. The problem of this country is bigger than we can imagine it, it is so funny that the same individuals that are complaining about the bad government that are indulging in this of act, no reason good enough for anyone to steal, if they are caught they should face the penalty.
