I don't believe it's cursed, but it has just been unfortunate in that said month looking at the chart , it's just a superstition believe and people always have what to say or believe and this is one of it ,if Bitcoin mostly experience a decrease in the month of September,if you watch very well it may not be always,but people are entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is cursed ,and if history decide to repeat itself,it's not guarantee that the month is cursed .

September is the start of the last quarter of the year, and that's where most people begin to take profits after having a profitable run. September is not cursed because it's not always a bearish month, take for instance in 2024 where it had the strongest run with a significant increase, many made tangible profits from it.

It's merely a historic sentiment as there is no single cause for depreciation in the price of bitcoin during this month, it's just the start of the month so there is no rush to jump into conclusions.

Let agree it's a cursed but can't we see that the curse has been broken for the past three years consecutively? From the 2023, 2024 and 2025 as shown in op data, it was positive. It's important to pay attention to this patterns because they help in our decision making but it's unnecessary to tagged it as a curse. We already know that the market moves randomly and react base on global events sometimes so it's illogical to conclude that September is cursed based on historical coincidence when we are aware that things may happen that are capable of changing the situation.

Exactly,using the word cursed is not idea at all , this is a mere coincidence,I'm glad the last three years has shown a different thing ,we all know that Bitcoin investment is volitle it moves randomly,so the said month could be where it was affected for over the years which made many tagged it as a cursed month which is not good ,I personally don't believe any month is cursed based on investment, because if you really understand how this investment works ,each month of the year has it's package and some many repeatedly occurred in some months ,but who knows let see how it goes.

Yes actually I agree with you, I think calling September a cursed month can give the historical numbers more meaning than they deserve.  Bitcoin doesn't know what month it is, and there are too many things that can influence its price at any given time. While a few poor Septembers can create a solid narrative  but it does not mean that the same thing has to occur each year.

So instead of us always trying to predict the market based on previous years patterns, from my own observations,  I think it is more sensible to look at market activity rather than making every decision based on a calendar pattern.

Things must always worked as expected because things do changes at all times, if you look closely most time it starts well and during the ending of the month we may see it going either sideways or having to go back the initial price that it broke out from I guess this could be the reason why the op do said if month of September is usually cursed. Just as we didn’t expect anything the price to currently broke out from 80k closing the month of August were it nearly touched 82k before retracing back to 77k.

Well based on the shown data it seems that bitcoin are up for the lqst 3 years was it like 24hrs result or monthly timeframe? Honestly with its current price right now its just like a stable range for bitcoin now from $77k to $80k range. We are still almost half of the September and likely this will be seen prior to its end if the price will crash going back at $60k + level or totally goes beyond $80k and more.

It seems the data you are looking at is based on its monthly performance and not actually on its 24 hours movement.

And that's provably the reason why it shows upper trend for last three years, As of the moment it seems that we are seeing Bitcoin consolidating and became so stable at $76 - to $80k.

But the question now if by this September, we could really see Bitcoin hit above $80 or it finally breaks out at $90k level. Because if it fails then dump came, maybe we will see Bitcoin reach again at $60k to $50k level.

Yeah but right now as of this writing which CPI data comes the bitcoin seems move upward. I dont know if this run is just a temporary movement or more like building up something.

Maybe couple of days at this month we can see another breakout. Deym this market analysis is quite a headache if you asked me. Thumbs to traders who can handle their mind into chill boot but being a holder have lesser stress.

This September history is not really sure pattern for Bitcoin, that's it's not definite that Bitcoin is cursed every September. Although by percentage positivity since 13 September till 2025 September (13 Septembers) it's just 38.5 percent and 61.5 percent negative. But this year 2026 September can be positive to make over 40 percent positivity for 14 Septembers which is still not enough but a good one altogether.

Having the worst performance in comparisons to other months and this happens every time could actually mean the month is cursed because if it is not cursed then why does it have to be the worst performing month levery time the data is being analyzed. The cursed is marking it look like you can not make profits hence let us not use the word cursed but say September has the worst performing results and then the thread will begin to agree more with the thread creator. Every month has times when they do not give profits to investors but we are not calling those months cursed because some years, the results comes out different as profits are made.
