Hiring: Senior Web Developer — Case-Opening Platform (Refinement + New Features)

I'm looking for an experienced web developer to work on an existing, already-built case-opening platform. The site is live and functional. This job is about refining the current UI and building a set of new features on top of it, not starting from scratch.

Scope of work

UI/UX refinement across existing pages, implemented from Figma designs exactly as designed
Full responsive handling (designs are single-layout, so breakpoints are your call)
New feature development, including admin-panel controls for content that is currently hardcoded
All existing backend logic and API connections must remain intact. Design and features change; functionality stays consistent
Clean, maintainable code with proper handoff documentation

Stack
Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, Socket.io, AWS S3, Docker, crypto payment integration. Real-time features and provably-fair mechanics are part of the codebase.

Requirements

Senior-level only. Juniors, beginners and "I will learn while doing" applicants should not apply
A portfolio with live links is mandatory. Applications without one will be ignored
Previous experience with case-opening, mystery-box or similar real-time reward platforms is a strong advantage and will be prioritised
Solid understanding of WebSocket-based real-time features, race conditions, and basic application security
Able to communicate in English and give realistic timelines

Hiring process
Shortlisted applicants will be given a short test task before final selection. It will be small and time-limited, purely to verify code quality and working style. Please only apply if you are willing to complete it.

Budget
Up to $1,500 USD for the agreed scope. Final number depends on your experience and the delivery timeline you propose.

Payment terms
Work will only be done through an escrow platform (Fiverr, Upwork or similar) or through a mutually agreed trusted middleman. No exceptions, no advance payments outside escrow. Milestone-based release is fine.
