The problem is majority of traders only see the money aspect of it. Trading is more deeper than how people see it. It reshapes you entirely and makes you more disciplined. It's fundamentally a decision making and risk management game. Money is just like a reward for making good decisions. If you only concentrate on the reward, you'll be desperate and desperation usually lead to wrong decisions.

Why will you trade without expecting profit, it means that there's no need trading because traders are trading for profit. The problem is that most traders make the wrong decisions because they allow their emotions to control them in their decision making.

However, the market is highly risky and a professional trader wouldn't open a position if he doesn't understand the market because if you do, losses will be the other of the day. I don't like trading because I'm too busy.

I warned a friend never to be a day trader who looks at the screen the whole day, I added that such traders become mentally ill over time because they are learn the hard way when trade hits them hard. The traders that learns are daily traders who forces the screen to pay them.

Those who watches the market, enter when he sees a good position and leaves when profits are gotten are the beneficiary from trading. Their mental and emotional strength are intact.

What I can, all traders passes through pain before becoming strong in emotions and start trading less.

This is very correct and when one makes wrong decisions and aim for the money only, they always find it hard to be profitable no matter how long they stay in the market. Your first approach of the market really plays a very big role on how the outcome of your trading will be. You can be learning well but once you’re all aimed at the bigger profit without learning through the process gradually, you’ll most certainly remain unsuccessful in trading no matter how you try to reach the peak of success because your emotions always comes in to disrupt everything.

...
Well I am not always of the opinion that many trades result into traders learning more.. At time a trader could frequently place trades by making the same mistakes over and over again especially when the individual hasn't been attentive enough to pay attention to their mistakes that may even be what is causing their repeated losses.. What matters the most is the ability of folks being able to identify their faults/or mistakes and then learn it.. The other lines of the poem makes more sense since it is very much common amongst successful and experienced traders to become very selective of their trades so as to manage their losses..And so they may not always be too bothered about entering every opportunity that the market presents to them...

Yes, this poem is actually telling the truth, there's no way someone can gather trading experience that will help them to be successful when they are not trading, it's when you trade and lose that you will keep learning from your mistakes and also make adjustment to improve your strategy and when you win too you will have to take notes of what contributed to your win so you keep up with using those steps to continue winning.

There is one trader I normally follow online, most of the time she streams online when she is taking a live trade, from some of his tutorials, he will always show some months that she only took 2 or 4 trades because she is always selective in taking trades, and according to her that's what made her profitable and she said that's her own edge, taking less trades made her filter out the noise in the market and only take high probability trades and most of the time, she wins all those few trades she is taking.

So, I agree with the part that said the less trades you take, the more you earn. After learning all the important basics of trading, if you actually mean to take high probability trades, you will only be taking few trades because high probability does not show up every day, you could even wait for a week but the thing is, most of us, wants to scalp and double our money instantly on a daily basis and that why we lose always or even blow our account.

But we can't dispute the fact that the more you trade the more we learn.....Mostly what makes traders to learn quickly is when they lose, losing in trading will make a trader to be more meticulous or careful, and also learn more so that it will not make a similar mistake in future...I this agree with this particular point " The more you earn, The less you trade...In Trading the more you earn or make profit, the more you become inquisitive to trade, because the profit you make will inspire you to trade more in order to earn more..I want us to know that money is unsatisfied to humans, it's greediness that makes people who earn more to trade more...

And what if I say this: at this point, you can reduce your risk in trading if you learn about trading before jumping into this space. You can learn a lot, and learning about risk management strategies should be the newbie trader's very first priority. This can help them to reduce the risk of losing big funds in a short time frame. You should not forget the fact that if you don't have sufficient knowledge about the trading space.

Then, dear, you are not trading; you are just gambling with your well-earned funds just to try your luck. If it goes well, you will see a good profit in your portfolio, and if it goes against you, with zero knowledge, then you can wipe out your whole portfolio in no time. Well, this is my point of view on this. What do you think about this? CMIIW!

This is a nice poem for trader's, but this poem is roundup around trading risks and time management not really cover everything around trade, and also to see that less trade brings more profits. This assumption also lead me to ask if less trade outrightly leads to profits and repeated trades lead to losing?

If traders don't use stop loss order, they're stupid and too careless by ignoring risk.
Are you sure? I can see that you are still a beginner in trading. You need to study more about trading strategies and psychology and how traders can achieve profit without using stop loss.

I have studied about trading to know that most traders that set stop loss are using leverage.

If you want to go for less risky trading which is the best, you will understand how not using stop loss can be the beginning to a patient trading and profitability.

No stop loss
Trade with 0.2x leverage
Trade good coins like bitcoin and ethereum, not those manipulated coins.

They use stop loss and leverage only to see their coins on their trading account liquidated. I am posting this from what I know traders are doing, but if you like, do not believe me.

This is again interesting to me after I previously disagreed, indirectly when we have a stop loss position that we have set in our position, then exchange, or market makers will force a price decrease or increase (which suppresses our stop loss position) in liquidation because they know the point where traders forcibly release their positions, is that what you mean?

I swing trade but still use a stop loss in the area that makes me blind and enough to incur losses if it does not match my prediction, because our market mechanism we do not know, as happened in bitcoin which experienced a recent price increase when we all on average thought it would fall below $60k and reach a dip.

We often see this poem on social media. But unfortunately, not many people realize it.
But clearly, that's how it should be. It's different if we become
"the more emotional you are, the more you may lose."

Unfortunately, this often happens in crypto trading. The more you expect high profits, the greedier you are sometimes. to the point of ignoring the initial strategy you arranged.

If traders don't use stop loss order, they're stupid and too careless by ignoring risk.
Using a stop-loss is certainly one way to manage risk, but that doesn't mean every strategy is the same. Some traders don't use stop-losses at all, yet they have their own methods and tricks for managing risk. So, it really comes down to understanding our own circumstances and capabilities.

Lessons to learn—Successful traders take fewer trades.

No lie in that, made most of my profits trading less and that's why I always call myself a part time trader if I'm being asked if I trade. You need to leverage on your victory trades and reduce losses which is more effective when you trade less because irrespective of what you think you've done (via analysis of the market), you only stand a better chance of not losing when you don't trade.

Spend time learning about the market and seize the opportunity when the market presents it to you through market corrections and then buy and you'll make better profits. It isn't about how many trades you have made but what's your success ratios for those trade and that's how you'll know if you're good at what you're doing.

For my final contribution, I'll say "Don't just trade entirely, hodl instead"  cause as the peom goes, the more you earn (which comes easily through hodling) the less you trade.

The more you trade, the less you earn. It just shows that there is no guaranteed profit with trading, those who are mostly earning are not actually trading, but they are plain investing and long term holding of bitcoin. I guess this is just the fact with trading, and everyone who trade experience losing, even those real professional traders in the market.

But why is everyone still eager to trade? I guess as long as there is even a small rate of successful traders, people will still consider trading their money, and when they can't get rid from losing, they will end up plain investing and bitcoin holding. If you can't trade and make profits, better settle with holding alone.

Therefore, learning trading is enough, people should not resort into trading like it is compulsory to make them rich. Although I have no against with people who chose trading as long as they are trading an amount they can afford to lose. But if they are only trading for the sake of profits alone, without seeing the rate of chances losing in trading, then its just greed alone without real skills and experience. And those who trade with greed will mostly suffer from a losing trade.

However, anyone is free to trade, but never expect that all traders are profiting, majority are still losing their money and compromised their trades. That's how risky trading is, and that's why it isn't for everyone who just want to trade.

Simply put, you don't get profit with a lot of trades, or bigger amount of trades. But with skills and working strategies, less trade would mean more profits and more chances of trading success. I think this reflects for beginner traders as they are too much focused on increasing their trade every single day because they actually believe that with more trading positions, more bigger profits will come their way.

But in reality, once you learned much about trading, with all your experiences, prior losses and profits, you will realized that with less trade comes with less losses and stress. Trading isn't a challenge anymore to increase your income, but to avoid or limit your losses, since trading losses are highly inevitable.
