What most of us have been posting on this forum is that it could take up to 15 yeas before that can be accomplished.

Based on the articles, he is buying Ethereum because he believes it will bring profit faster. He is optimistic that Bitcoin could hit $1 million by 2030 because of massive money printing and potential US yield curve control. Maybe people would invest more in Bitcoin to protect their assets from inflation.

Fifteen years is a long time. Different economic and political events could shape Bitcoin's price during this period. Based on my own analysis, I dont think Bitcoin will hit that price within that predicted period.

I think a lot of investors are income investors that don't like holding assets that don't pay them to do so.  Bitcoin falls into that category.  While the ETFs do allow people to make money selling options on their holdings, there are folks that don't want to touch stuff like that and just want to collect interest like they are used to.  Those people tend to gravitate towards ETH over BTC because there are staking rewards.  They want to see their number grow and that is a requirement for some.

He predicted $1 million for bitcoin, instead bought ETH because he wanted quick profits, in his article 3-5x ETH can go up then he continues to buy ETH until now. He considers a quick gain in ETH in the current cycle, assuming the current price of $2400 x 5 = $12,000 that Arthur Hayes expects.

If Arthur Hayes believes that bitcoin will hit $1M by 2030 yet considers buying ETH instead of BTC, then he might be thinking that bitcoin will not perform better than ETH within that window in terms of gain. I don't know why he feel that way but I have more confidence in bitcoin than any other coin and I will rather not trust ETH over BTC given the fact that ETH is more or less centralized and does not have a fixed supply. Even if I want to diversify my portfolio, bitcoin will take a major part of my investment.

Since it is almost impossible to get 3x to 5x profit from Bitcoin very quickly now, he considers ETH as a reliable coin for making quick profits. From his point of view, he may be right, because the price of Bitcoin has now reached a level from which it is not possible to increase the price several times.

But ETH still has that possibility, a 3x to 5x price increase is not impossible for ETH. Although it seems very difficult to get such a big profit from Ethereum very quickly, but it is not impossible.

That is what is funny to me about this man. If bitcoin is $78000 right now but he think bitcoin can get to $1 million by 2030, that is almost 13x which is more than the one he predicted for ethereum.

Bitcoin could reach $1 million tomorrow, next month, or next year if we are desire-biased. We all wish for Bitcoin to break a new ATH.

We all wish for Bitcoin to get to $1 million, considering the profit we will make, but we have to be realistic, and that should be the reason we have been seeing members of the forum predicting that Bitcoin could take up to 15 years before it gets to that amount.

People no longer want to set unrealistic expectations. Setting too many expectations in a short period of time is dangerous. The higher you build up an expectation, the harder the disappointment hits if the investment plan fails.

Arthur Hayes is a notoriously bad caller for picking coins at specific times. He pumped and dumped a bunch of sltcoins on his followers using them as exit liquidity for his bad calls. Don't ever trust him.

Just because he's operating a derivatives exchange it doesn't mean shit, maybe he was good at math at university but now he had gone completely overboard.

I believe that Bitcoin will reach $1M but not that too soon. But I think these predictions from these known personalities in the crypto community are able to influence that belief. If CZ says that we'll see bitcoin reach $1M early and for the next cycle, that creates an impact to the minds of everyone on this community. Who doesn't want to see bitcoin at that early phase? all of us want to see it. But let's just get real with these predictions, they're probabilities and not guaranteed per se. If someone keeps on telling that, that shows how bullish and committed they are but that can't change the fact that no one knows when it will actually come.

Although I know Arthur Hayes is an inconsistent person, but someone can invest in something and invest in another. In this case from the article, it is implied that he has lost conviction in Hyperliquid and choose to invest in ETH instead, which makes sense. He could've owned enough bitcoin for his 2030 target and currently doing side quests making profit from best altcoin runner.

As I can understand, he seems to be the guy who have multiple play instead of only one play and different strategy at the same time both for long term and short term. I do consider that $1 million in just less than 4 years is impossible though, unless there is supercycle. Either he truly believe in his thesis or simply farming engagement.

Maybe that is because the adoption factor by the big companies and institutional so some people believes Bitcoin will get to the very high price, in this matter $1 million. That is still speculation but they can say any high price for Bitcoin in near.

If Hayes trust he can grind and makes money with ETH shortly, that is his choice so we can let him do that. While we believe Bitcoin will increase so high in the future although we don't have clue when that happens.

Just like Tom Lee, he’s also very bullish on Bitcoin and believes it could reach $2 million in the future. But in the end, he chose to invest in ETH rather than BTC.

That's not really surprising because like many other investors, their goal is to make money, not to become die hard fan of any particular asset.

Arthur Hayes is only a business man who is looking for every means to make profit from crypto which is the reason why he is praising bitcoin but at the same time buy Ethereum that shitcoin because he believes that it's very cheap and he can make good profit from it in future.

I don't think that in four years time bitcoin will reach $1m because the volatility reduces overtime. Bitcoin will definitely get to $1m bench mark but nobody knows when.

I don't even know if this is the right movie is making at all, ethereum has not been performing well compared to Bitcoin lately, what is suggesting, to create an awareness that will make people consider ethereum in order to pump its price or rather deceive the public about investing in Bitcoin due to its increasing value and still yet not invest for himself, some of these notable public figures can be funny in their way of actions when it comes to the asset they consider for an investment, bitcoin made all-time high but ethereum couldn't afford to mass out with an outstanding performance and until this time.

I love Bitcoin, but I think those prediction is over exaggerated. Also I have feeling that they don't really mean what they say, but rather they are just seeking free attention. Look what happen now after he said that. Arthur Hayes gathers another free exposure from people talk about what he say.

He's name already been mentioned again and for sure medias will catch it up and he would get those exposure he's aiming to get.

I will not buy whatever they have said, since same with what you have said. Same with common people, he provably don't know if what he say would really happen or not.

Bitcoin is currently trading around $80k, which means it would need to go up around x12 over the next 4 years to reach $1 million. I also think that's pretty unlikely to happen.

For me, ETH is still the most promising coin among altcoins. However, whether it can actually deliver good returns or even outperform Bitcoin is still a big question mark.
Don't forget that during the last bull run, Bitcoin gained 740% from its 2022 bottom and was up 80% from the previous cycle's top. Meanwhile, ETH couldn't even get back to its previous cycle high.
