We list exchanges broadly and show their actual KYC behavior separately. For example, “Rare KYC” means that an exchange generally works without KYC, but verification can still be triggered in certain cases — such as AML flags or requirements from an upstream provider.

That’s exactly why we have the No-KYC Track Record: users can report after completing a swap whether they were asked for KYC or whether their funds were frozen. This gives users more context than simply labeling an exchange “No-KYC” or “KYC”.

If an exchange starts consistently requiring KYC, or there are serious issues such as frozen funds, we can disable its rates/swaps and move it to the bad-reputation section rather than simply presenting it as a recommended option.

You can improve the quality of your service by removing them and adding better alternatives.

I understand your point, but we intentionally don’t remove services simply because they have had KYC cases or negative reports.

Also, we don’t claim that all listed services are completely No-KYC. Quite the opposite — we try to be transparent about cases where KYC has been reported. Our detailed reviews mention potential concerns, and the ratings reflect them, so a service with a history of KYC requests or other issues won’t simply receive a high score.

At the same time, there are users who successfully completed swaps with these same services without any problems, and there are also positive reviews. We also personally test services before adding them.

That’s why we’re building the system around actual data rather than just opinions. We don’t want the directory to become a place where people simply praise a service or accuse it of being a scam — especially when competitors could potentially manipulate reviews against each other.

For completed swaps, we’re gradually collecting factual statistics such as:

whether KYC was requested;
how often funds were frozen;
how long the swap took;
whether the swap was completed successfully;
user reports and other relevant data.

The idea is that over time users will be able to look at the actual track record of a service instead of relying only on someone saying “this exchange is great” or “this exchange is a scam.”

And we have quite a few more metrics and features planned for the future. So rather than simply deleting controversial services, we want to make their history and reputation as transparent and measurable as possible.
