Gray says he has been wondering how  mining pool might pay out miners to different addresses directly in the coinbase (and generally about “fun” things to do with a coinbase transaction) I think this is an interesting idea that caught my attention and will want to see it happen you all can Check https://bitcoinops.org/en/newsletters/2026/09/04/ for full details of the proposal and how it’s expected to work.

Mining has long been a legitimate business, and most miners have no reason to hide their transactions. If I need to hide my Bitcoin, I'll use a mixer.
Most miners don't need this; the main thing for miners is that pools pay out rewards regularly. Silent Payments technology is complex, and miners don't need that kind of complexity.

Silent payments are more like an extra layer of privacy and just like FP91G mentioned in most countries mining is actually a legit business so hiding it doesn't really matter that much. The only major scenario I possibly see is using it so it gains adoption. We barely have wallets that support it especially on mobile.

Another thing is for countries that impose taxes on mining too, transparency of payouts will save the miners a lot of stress when remitting for their taxes.

I don't think you still need to hide your mine BTC since it was fresh from the solved block and transaction fees.

However, if you care about your privacy because I know some pools were being hacked and leaked most of the personal data, including miners' earnings, this silent payment will give you no privacy leaks compared to using the standard one.
