To frank as I am surprised to see that in the month of September bitcoin actually broke out the price of 80k, have been moving around 60k to 70k for a very long duration. But to be surprise, I am now seeing that Bitcoin has already broken out from 80k to around 82k.

If I’m correct, the move started in the month of August, not even September; it was in August before the ending that bitcoin moved from $64,000 to above $70,000, and it even touched above $80,000 before it dropped down a few times.

And in September, it also continued with the same move. Next we’ll be watching the weekly candle close in two days, hopefully there will be strong buying pressure to drive a breakout. This would be the first step toward reaching $100k again.

Not surprising actually, since we already undergo for many dumps before and somehow price recovery is expected to happen. Not all the time Bitcoin will experience that long and this is another great indication that people should not get panic when there's bearish trend came, then its better to look at it as another great opportunity.

But hard to know what is the exact news could trigger for possible pump which can help Bitcoin could cross to 82k. If there's a news came out that US strongly support Bitcoin maybe it can help a lot and we see some good pumps came.

For now I don't pay much attention on it, rather I want to focus on my investment and accumulation. Because its hard to speculate on something we are not really so sure.

I don't think there's any big reason behind $80,000 to $82,000, especially that it's only hours apart. It's probably just big money moving. But I guess it's all part of the bigger picture, the $60,000 to $82,000 growth, which is mainly driven by macroeconomic factors, perhaps the Treasury's scheduled double long-term bond buybacks from $2 billion to $4 billion in particular.

And I guess this isn't all there is to this run. I believe there's more to this. The big money begins to flow days from now. I presume part of it will go into Bitcoin.

@OP, Bitcoin is not an asset that the price can just get influenced by one news event, even if it does, it's just for the short period of time but what actually influence price more is how investors react, when investors keeps accumulating more Bitcoin regardless of anything, the price will hike and that means that demand is on a surge and so the price will also push up but when investors start dumping their coins, it creates much supply which can also cause the price to drop. As of yesterday when price closed above $81k, the NFP news came and suddenly the price drops to $78k which was just a correctional move that was speed up by the news but price is still going to create another higher high. So, it's not mainly about the news but investors buying more Bitcoin.

There's really no big news that came out for it to go up at that price. MicroStrategy's buying power came after the value went up. So, it could just be a correction, or some institutional investor that we don't know about bought a lot of Bitcoin because they think that $60k is a very low price.

It is indeed uncertain in the present situation. Some says the market is already indicating a bull run, some says it’s too early and we will see a bearish market for longer period.

We could still see a price drop of course, but as it stands we are seeing Bitcoin return to a price of $80k a slight decrease in it’s value. I guess we will just have to wait and see if this is a first increase before a possible price surge in October or if it will drop back below $80k.

I don’t think there is any big new investor or institutions that actually were recently buying bitcoin because if there is any new institution buying it would have been reported because the amount of bitcoin needed to actually move a whole bitcoin market isn’t small that it will be hiding. So the institutions buying are just the regular institutions we know who have been DCAing for a while.

This particular rise has nothing to do with any particular or surprised buy it’s the normal market conditions, this rally started in August and just did a correction and the recent rise is a continuation of that rally nothing special is happening. This is could lead to a bull run or could be a bull trap

80k in recent weeks has become a level the market was trying to catch up with. Once Bitcoin was able to push through that resistance, momentum and buying had to do the rest.

Didn't see price hit this high of 82.3K had to look at the charts for this moment, and seeing price action happened with a wick am more than convinced that buyers thought price would rally to 90K, but unfortunately the sellers stepped in for a tag of war.. pushing price back in it's trading range of $75k - 80K, but should this bull push fail the momentum could push price further down but hoping that doesn't happen.
