No, you’re not expected to do the work of the government, I think what the OP had in mind when making such comments is for us to actually see how we can contribute to the nations economy. We cannot always depend on the government for everything, I think the citizens of a country have a role to play in the economy. My only problem is that the government has failed to create an enabling environment where the citizens who have some certain skills to showcase their skills and talents towards improving the country’s economy. There are so many young youths with skills and talents who are just looking for an avenue where they can showcase themselves but they don’t have the opportunity. After having a skill, money is needed to start a company. A person without money cannot create opportunities for others. The wealthy people who are supposed to create those opportunities don't do that often.

This is very true and I agree with you, one can have a skill or skills but without the needed support and finances that very skills will be useless to him until he utilizes it to enhance growth within himself and the environment he finds himself and every knowledge that one has concerning any craft money is need to stand it up, we have so many Youths today in our contemporary society that has good skills but there's no one to sponsor them and stand it up and it becomes wasteful not untill it is put to use and it benefits those around and that's when one can be proud of himself for having a skill.

I’ve finally decided to bring this to this house. I think as Nigerians, discussing about the economic growth, and development of this country Nigeria is very important because even when you acquire money in an unstable economy there must be some impact possibly some negative impacts you must receive as a result of unstable economy. In Nigeria we have had unstable economy for quite a long time, and is now a thing of great concern. Presently, the poor people are hardly surviving, and their is even pressure on the average Nigerians as they have to provide for themselves, and at the same time for people around them. In the past 10 years ago, the country Nigeria was a bit better, our fiat  currency had little value, and even the poor were eating before going to bed. Today in Nigeria, uncontrolled inflation has taken over, naira has lost value which are not signs of economic growth, and is also as a result of bad governance which every citizen should know, and make the right decision when it is time of election.

I think the Nigerian citizens are already thinking how to help themselves, in this present Nigeria, nobody is waiting for government for survival because the system of government is very frustrating, and is forcing many Nigerians to even leave the country for other nations.
If you are here in Nigeria, and as a citizen of Nigeria the only way you can survive is to learn good skills or if you have money and you can do any business, it is advisable you go into business, and possibly you can equally introduce those around you into such business if you know such business can be successful. Nigerians are used to providing and surviving life themselves no matter the situation of the country. The majority of the citizens are the ones who are providing themselves with the basic things that a normal responsible government are obligated to do for their citizens but they failed to understand all of this things, instead the government try to make it look like they’re doing the citizens a favor by providing what they owe it’s citizens. The citizens can only do what there strength can carry and we have seen people doing all they could to survive, then we ask, what has the government done, the economic hardship has reach the extent that, no matter how you try, your effort seem like nothing because of hyper inflation, Nigeria is no longer for the a average man, talk more of the poor, good a thing, both the poor and average Nigerians are doing everything to survive, the government has refused to put things in other, but we must survive, some times you see people making excuses for the government, and you ask if they are truly nigerians or immigrants.
