Funny enough, we are actually all contributing for the betterments of the countries economy. If you look closely at smaller businesses who have employed people so far, you will see that they too are contributing. Someone might say but there's no impact. No signs of it. That's because the government hasn't yet played their role. The most important role is the government. The citizens are even trying their best even with the hardship of the economy.

That positive role played by other government for the development of their countries is what we lack in Nigeria today. Instead of doing such all our leaders do is to steal the little available and make things more difficult for the citizens.
Statistically,  Nigeria politicians appears to be the richest people in Africa when we all know politics is not business that generates great income over time. Because they make public offices a stealing ground is the only reason they are getting richer while the country keep going down in debt everyday  and will never change unless their is restructuring in our leadership structure,  them alone can their be positive change in Nigeria.

The citizens can only do what there strength can carry and we have seen people doing all they could to survive, then we ask, what has the government done, the economic hardship has reach the extent that, no matter how you try, your effort seem like nothing because of hyper inflation, Nigeria is no longer for the a average man, talk more of the poor, good a thing, both the poor and average Nigerians are doing everything to survive, the government has refused to put things in other, but we must survive, some times you see people making excuses for the government, and you ask if they are truly nigerians or immigrants.
Let me use this avenue to say this. Most of the time especially in Nigeria we focus too much on economic growth rather than economic development. Every day we see figures and charts showing quantitative increase in the production of the goods and services of this country but do not take its time to critically look at the economic development of the country where there should be ordinarily a qualitative increase in our economy such as our healthcare system, wellbeing and welfare of the people while also ensuring the standards of living of the people are well taken care off but when shall we see such development take place in reality?

We should only say this to the people leading us because we the masses are not in any position to make things better in the country, it is the government and the government officials that will do everything possible to ensure that they re able to make things better for Nigeria and develop the economy of the country. When we are talking about developing the economy, we are simply saying our leaders should do what they were assigned to do, they should fulfill what they said in their manifesto because almost all of them had beautiful and interesting manifesto before they were assigned into office. We loved the things they told us, but now they are in office and they aren't doing those things they promises, and that is where our pain comes in.

Thing will actually get better for Nigerians the moment we are able to put in the best person as our president, and also able to elect good governors into offices, elect good local government chairman who will  ensure things are done properly in the grassroots.

But we never put into consideration ; having a discussion on how we can personally assist the country's economy by creating opportunities with our own skills, which can actually feed  some homes, helping the country reduce the number of unemployed.
It takes a lot to grow above solving your needs to the stage where you start to solve other peoples need in an economy that is as devastated as ours. it is not like most individuals don't know that as citizens we have a role to play in helping the economy but most youth are just struggling to survive and with that, how can they then succeed in creating a system that helps others thrive?

The government are those that are primarily bestowed with the mandate of helping the economy because they are the ones that are directly and indirectly benefitting from the economy. all the wealth and revenue that the nation is generating are at the hands of the government and if with all those resources they can not help the economy, what can an individual do?

Yes, we know that the government are bestowed with the primary responsibility of helping and growing the economy with the revenues and resources at their dispense but as it stands they have resulted to personal gains and interest and have forgotten about the masses and that's where the individuals comes in to help their fellow masses, individuals that are well to do who has companies can go ahead to employ the Youths in other for them to survive the harsh economy since the government has neglected them so I can tell you that there are many ways the individual will help.

The likes of Dangote is an individual who is into many businesses and today that business of his has been able to employ many Youths off the streets and they are working and getting paid by him, those are the things an individual can do to help the government when they have refused to help us make the economy favorable so the less privileges can also live and survive.

As a Nigerian it is important for us to focus on both economic growth and economic development. As we are planning to make our economy bigger, we should also focus on how to make our lives better, because it is essential. Is not by the production of goods and services, what we should consider is whether the progress of the economic is actually improving the lives of the citizens or people. As long as our standard of living and well-being has not improve, then that clearly shows that there's no any growth in our country. Because we need to know the essence of the growth if there is no access to better education, no proper healthcare services, no employment opportunity, and most importantly, there is increase in the rate of inflation and poverty.

Exactly. Many Nigerians are already contributing in their own little ways by starting businesses, creating jobs and keeping economic activities going despite the hardship. The government’s role is to create an environment where these efforts can actually produce visible results through good policies, infrastructure, security and accountability. Citizens are trying; the government also needs to play its part.

I’ve finally decided to bring this to this house. Subsequently, and with frequent observation,  threads on the local board always focus on long-term holding,  patterns to accumulate it, and how the government can use Bitcoin reserves to make enough profit, which can probably help build the economy of the country.

But we never put into consideration ; having a discussion on how we can personally assist the country's economy by creating opportunities with our own skills, which can actually feed  some homes, helping the country reduce the number of unemployed.

The government may not be doing any justice but then, I think we are all focusing only on personal development, without putting the interest of other less privileged citizens at heart, this may be contributing heavily on why the country isn’t getting any better. While the country have a major role to play, we as citizens also need to have some empathy i.e putting in our own effort to figure out strategies that can serve as a helping hand to citizens and in all pushing the country forward.

English and Pidgin is welcome in this discussion:
How do you support the government to create job when the government are not supporting to the business men and women,  how can you invest in an economy where the government are Iverson taxing the private sectors,  how cN you invest in an economy where is insecurity,  how can you invest in en economy where the government see  private investors ad competitor instead of collaborator. How can you invest in an economy when you don't trust the government,  how can you invest when there is no electricity and good roads network.  There are alot of factors that determine how citizens help to contribute to the economy.  In Nigeria the government are very brutal to private sectors.

There don't want the people to be free from poverty,  private citizens are suffering because of unstable  economy,  it will be hard for people to support,  don't blame the people blame the government for failing to provide the necessary things for investors to come in. Until government take up their responsibility and improve the economy for anyone to compete in it will be hard for citizens to assist.

I totally agree with what you just said above regarding this issue by O.P.  Because first of all, this our local board was not meant for job creation but was rather meant as an avenue where people interested in Bitcoin could learn about it, connect with each other and share knowledge and solution to whatever challenges a fellow bitcoiner may be having. So creating a thread on the local board on how to establish a job is not what should be discussed. Because apart from this forum, there are lots of crypto enthusiasts who use their knowledge to create jobs for the average Nigerian.
