While trying to introduce people to bitcoin, we fit dun go mistakenly use words wey we nor suppose use, and na wetin make dem get the wrong impression. E get words wey dem dey call Call-to-action words, wey dem dey use take dey do marketing and all that, words like "Join now", "Start today/now", "Don't miss out", etc. All those kind words dey put people under urgent mode, and some people nor dey like make decision under such conditions. Give people time to think when you're trying to introduce them to Bitcoin because sometimes when you're putting them under the pressure of trying to tell them to invest now or take advantage of the situation quickly putting them on the unnecessary pressure, it can put them under the idea like you're about to scam them or you have something to profit from them signing up they are not telling them. Instead of telling them to invest now in bitcoin because they have wasted time already not investing, tell them to take their time to go do their own research, and if possible, check back with them after a while to ensure they did their own research. Wetin you feel concerning this talk?

In BTC every single day is an opportunity to invest. Just that each moment or day creat a different opportunity. For an ideal human, I don't think anyone should tell you to make research on what you are trying to invest in before you do so. Well, just as you have said it isn't advisable to place pressure using those words on anyone to invest in Bitcoin because doing that you are indirectly assuring them of profit after investment. If later on there is a deep after buying their BTC, they will count on you for misleading them because they lack the knowledge about BTC, and crypto in general. So it better you made them know BTC isn't a get rich scheme and that we may experience deep during the journey so they won't be surprised if such happens. This little knowledge can help them stay in the system for long.

Yeah, this should be a little related to ponzi schemes where there is always a catch for joining or registering and there are high expectations based on proposed promises. Some people misjudge the concept of bitcoin for quick money project based on whatever information they received, and some people could go ahead to introduce others without fully understanding the system Bitcoin runs on.
So, it would be more safe and not misleading to not use these kind of words for newbies that are new to Bitcoin, because the first impression is often what matters the most, the wrong approach could lead to a bunch of misconception about Bitcoin.

Na true you talk, brotherly. There is no referral bonus or financial gains for introducing someone to invest in Bitcoin. It's not a Ponzi scheme that depends on new entrants to survive. Therefore, there is no need to use these action words. When I tell people about Bitcoin, it's not marketing. I am simply promoting awareness and adoption, if possible. Due to the risk and uncertainty in the crypto industry, prospective investors should be allowed to study and understand the market before making any decision. To avoid being blamed for poor returns or other challenges, allow people to make their investment decisions.

Another important thing if you are introducing bitcoin to people I think you should be careful talking about the price going up or how much money they can make, because if it doesn’t feel too realistic to some people they will think there is an agenda behind it. I go like tell them the basics first, including the risks, how the wallets work and the possibility of losing their money. After you don explain give them time to make their decision without feeling like they are being sold something. It is also better to accept when someone says they are not interested instead trying to pressure them or convince them constantly. But I go like make wuna help us with the easier way to talk to newbies to understand without turning the whole thing into a marketing pitch ?

It also feeds the mindset of getting profit from it early, this is especially so with the 'don't miss out' speech, when you tell someone something like this you should also make sure to let them know that bitcoin investment isn't a get rich quick scheme, it takes time to make profit from it, even longer to get it sustainable and that should be what you tell to people when telling them about bitcoin. Most of the people who don't trust bitcoin today doubt it because someone told them about bitcoin but maybe unintentional led them to believe it was a short term investment leading to them buying with more than they can afford and then having to sell early and probably at a loss in order to get their money back. If you are introducing someone to bitcoin investment the cyou should make sure to fully explain to them what they are getting themselves into.

Exactly my brother. After introducing it to them with good intentions, maybe along the way something happens: like a hack, a bear market, phishing attack, etc. They'll go on to pour all the blame on you and accuse you for misleading them. I don't often introduce any financial opportunities to people. Of I do, I'll always make sure to highlight the risks. I'll explain the best I can, the advantages and also make sure to include the disadvantages. No be to go full their head with unrealistic expectations and then they get disappointed at the end.

If you make the thing look like say them go miss out if them no quick join, them go carry Ponzi scheme eye look because you show desperation which means you get personal interest on the thing. The thing be say, if nobe person come meet you say make teach am, going to teach or trying to introduce some persons to crypto or Bitcoin precisely will make them think otherwise, so if you have the opportunity and try to highlight them on the importance of Bitcoin and how effective it is in terms of value savings and long term investment, if they can invest, they should do so, but if they have any doubt, leave them and face your business. It is not for everyone, so people who choose not to learn and consider going in that path, they should remain in centralization, don’t force anyone to buy Bitcoin.

Well I would like to bring up the fact that na Nigeria we dey, so some actions might put you in more risk than the person you are trying to teach. For that you can't just try introducing a random person into Bitcoin, which means whoever you are giving the opportunity to has to have a relationship with you maybe friends or family. That said to me, when you want to introduce someone to Bitcoin, the person has to be interested. Like they have to be motivated to take time and study how the technology works, because if you are the one trying to make the person interested then it would seem awkward. So my best bet is to just give them the right sites to do their own research and at the end of the day, their understanding or result will be what will prove their resolve. So, yep it would be wrong to force anyone, because it's not everything that works for you that will work for another person. That's all...

Is there any need to encourage someone to invest in Bitcoin by themselves? If you go ahead and say it yourself, then you are putting yourself in danger. Because if a new person who is willing to invest after listening to you invests and if the market falls and gets scared during the fall and sells his holdings, then he can blame you for this loss. It is not a good idea to go ahead and tell someone to invest by themselves.
Yes, if a person is willing to invest, then if he comes to you for advice, then you can tell him several things, like you can tell him about the risks of investing, you can tell him about the volatility of Bitcoin, etc. or you can watch some videos for him or introduce him to this forum.

You have said it all, i will never introduce anyone to bitcoin if they did not ask me to teach them or ask me to do so, we are talking about Nigerians, in Nigeria where someone can accuse you of his failure? Although it is not a bad thing to bitcoin to someone but you should know the kind of people you introduce it to, not everyone can take the risk of investing in bitcoin, out of 100% of Nigeria, it is only 40 or 30 have the mind to invest in bitcoin and it is because they have seen how far it has gone. I have seen how many people call bitcoin a scam, and even said that they will never invest their money in bitcoin, because it is a waste of time, and i have also seen where someone accused his friend for introducing bitcoin to him, because he friend told him that he will make a profit if he invest in bitcoin, and after waiting for some time he did not see any profit and he started saying he wasted money to invest in bitcoin. I have seen many accusations about being introduced to bitcoin, so if no one ask me about it, i will never open my mouth to introduce bitcoin to anyone.

By “Introduction” I suppose the person already has interest about bitcoin and if you’re trying to do that then you shouldn’t even touch the aspect of investment much rather you’re supposed to explain the technology behind bitcoin and why it works and a little bit about how you can make profit from long term investment then you refer them to good research resources, so that they’ll Do their own research themselves. You’re not in a place to persuade people to believe and invest in bitcoin, Bitcoin has already proved its potential and if you’re introducing it to someone then you should try to limit how much you talk about profits because it creates FOMO and it might probably make them believe they’ll get rich by investing which is not the case. -snip
That’s actually the right step if you find yourself in a situation where it is necessary for you to introduce someone to bitcoin, don’t try to create FOMO and allow them to take their time to learn themselves, anything done in haste is definitely not done well.

Wetin you just talk na true, no be everybody wey person suppose to dey tell about Bitcoin, because e get some people wey sabi twist talk wey e go be like that na you wey dey at fault, especially if something go wrong because no be everybody sabi understand matter and for person to avoid to be in that situation na if they mind their steps, expect them don sabi the person like you talk and also set some rules that might be of help to you in the future if anything go wrong. This go help person prevent some kind problems wey go give person sleepless night or lack of peace. Na why no be everybody supposed know about Bitcoin, there are other works that people can engage in for their own good interest.

You should be mindful with the kind of words that you use when giving lectures about bitcoin to newbies so that they don't get misled, you shouldn't use such languages because newbies might have a wrong perspective about the time when they can invest in bitcoin.. these words that you mentioned can make newbies think that if they don't invest in bitcoin now they will never have the opportunity to invest in bitcoin again..there is no specific time to invest in bitcoin that is why you shouldn't use such words with newbies because it can pressure them to invest in bitcoin.. the right time that you can invest in bitcoin is when you have your discretionary income available so while you are introducing bitcoin to people you should ensure that they don't invest under pressure so that they won't make mistake that they will regret later.

na true you dey talk, I don hear person dey tell his friend for phone call say make him invest now say no be tomorrow him go say them no carry along. Those kind statement dey very wrong because if na person wey be say you don tell am to invest before but him no dey interested then you come make profits from your investment and later on the person come begin dey regret and now you come dey tell am make him invest again, him dey ready to go look for the money by all means to take carry invest and if it come happen say the investment no come work as him been dey think say him go work, he will feel very bad and if he used a borrowed money to invest, he will feel so disappointed which is why it's better to allow people to make the choice of investing or not and at their own convenient time instead of making it sound like a do or die affair to them.

In most cases, when a brand new person hears about Bitcoin for the first time, they first want to believe that the person telling them has some hidden motive. So when we overly encourage someone with Bitcoin or pressure them to start using Bitcoin, their trust can be destroyed. So when introducing a brand new person to Bitcoin, it is necessary to present not only the positive things, but also the risks of Bitcoin to them. In this way, they will start to trust us. Because they will understand that there are risks. If a normal person's intention was to get something, they would not mention the risks.
The best decision is to let the new person take their time after informing them about the positives and risks of Bitcoin. Later, they can decide for themselves what to do.
