I partly agree. Altcoin market is way too crowded now, and that spreads liquidity thin. So it's getting harder to find alts doing 100x to 500x like before. But those opportunities haven't gone extinct, and I'd say 10x or even 30x is still very much on the table.

Just look at the last bullrun. Ether and Bnb underperformed badly. But SOL went from $8 to $300, roughly 30x. INJ went from $1 to $50, so 50x. Plenty of meme coin like PEPE, MOODENG and GOAT pumped many times over too.

So saying altcoin ss or alt can no longer deliver huge return isn't entirely accurate.

There is too much fragmentation of liquidity across multiple chains and coins, this is why a coin will do 5x in a month and dump in one day. I think we first need to remove meme coins, the liquidity that are wasted on Solana chains will do a very wonder to the altcoins markets. If the way people are busy chasing the next meme coins that will yield profits is what they are doing on top altcoins, there will be a force bull run without any hindrance, even the so called market manipulations wouldn't win the fight.

Things might change, the altcoins market can't be this way for long time. By the time they see Bitcoin trading at ₦200k and Eth is trading below $3k, they will come back, force the market to move. I believe without bull run on altcoins, I don't think even the exchanges are going to be profitable. No liquidity grab, no trading fees will be maid, it will come for sure.

What you are missing in your examples is that the coins you named were mostly new and un-pumped at the time they got massively pumped. Therefore the reason why they are not getting massively re-pumped today is that they are already over-pumped.

But that doesn't mean the huge pumps (100x-500x) don't happen or are hard to find. The "new" and "unpumped" shitcoins are still being massively pumped. You can see them in the "Top Gainers" section of sites that list them every day. Like this: https://www.coingecko.com/en/crypto-gainers-losers
The top of the list is a shitcoin called LOBO-something and it has gotten pumped more than 1800% in the past 24 hours. Tomorrow it will be some other shitcoin.

Tbh, this type of random altcoins doing 100x to 500x that you meant have been existing for the longest. The problem is that most are not real pump. Some of the tokens on their lists that do 1000x and goto millions of dollars worth of FDV/mcap will lose all that value if several thousands of the tokens are sold due to the thin liquidity they usually have, and that's why I don't trust them.

The 100x to 500x I meant in my example is the ones about popular tokens/projects we know about like ETH, Zcash, SOL and even Bitcoin.
