Yes, but you're still loading your old cold storage seed to a Knots wallet. You might have moved your BTC to a new seed, which is not entered on any Knots software, but you still reveal the old seed and all your transaction history to a network owned by a psychopath.

I don't know, it's just feels scary to me. Even if you use hardware wallet. You might forget to do something.

I have claimed various forkcoins more than once, and all my Bitcoin stash is still preserved.

Step 1 results in  transaction that is invalid on  Blake2b chain.

Step 2 results in  transaction that is invalid on  SHA256 chain.

Tell me who could grab either of them. Please don't refer to trivial errors like setting SIGHASH_NONE flag or something similar. I wasn't born yesterday.

So... who's gonna make the first big bold post here advising everyone to stop doing this bc they got burned & lost their btc to claim a shitcoin? I'm all for alts but this isn't it, man. Doesn't this exchange have scam allegations too? imo the risk is too high if u don't have any clue wtf you're doing...asking chatgpt to help you move a fork safely?!?!?! All I can see is red flags!!

Just send them to yourself first, if you are worried about anything. Then, in the worst case, you will lose only transaction fees.

Anyway, I already sold all of my BIP-110 coins, but I still keep receiving a bunch of BIP-110 satoshis here and there, because of replayed transactions. When I will stop getting them, then it would mean, that enough people splitted their coins correctly.

It seems the different suggestions on how to claim Blake2B BTC on this thread, however tested and proven safe they may seem, are exclusively a game of highly advanced users. 

As a crypto layman, I suggest to my fellow laymen to control those itchy palms. With what little hard-earned Bitcoin we have, it must be best for us to avoid testing and experimenting those steps. Perhaps it's enough for us to read from the sidelines and be amazed at how others safely did it.

This is an overreaction of a solution...
You have coins in cold storage, and you still want to sell for $300, there are pretty simple solutions for this, first move your coins to a new address A in a new wallet you're in control of , the clean environment for this is the best start, then spend the coins from this to a new address  B in that wallet with either
-  dust you have received from someone or from an exchange that does not exist on blake2b (Binance withdrawals seem to not be present on Blake2b, for example)
-  create an output that violates the Blake2b rules, either with op_return or by sending some dust to a P2PK output

Check this wallet on the blake2b chain, at this point you're in control of all the addresses, so you can easily see: have the bitcoin coins moved on Bitcoin from A to B and have they not moved on Blake2b because of the invalid tx? If this is true, then it's simple, move the Bitcoins from B back in storage, move the blakecoins on that chain from A to wherever you want to sell them.

Also, check the spread when selling as you might sell at 10%, and also don't try to  buy BTC on neoxa , the sprad for usdc to BTC is again insane and the fees the same, so you're going to lose 25% out of an already dumping price.

In my case I didn't touch any Blake2b software except for the mempool.guide explorer, and even that only ever received the signed transaction which I was broadcasting.

I didn't even need to use a seed beside loading it into the airgapped Electrum. The Electrum binary itself was a locally downloaded copy, and I PGP verified the signature and the checksum during the transfer. Private keys also never left the airgapped device either. Only the zpub went to an internet-connected device, and even then, it derived addresses that only hit my own explorer. (This is the advantage of running your own software! )

I signer up and sold a little at neoxa yesterday and had no issues.

But once again not enough to matter.

I don't know how much BTC you have but if it's a lot you can always do it in batches.

Transfer 10% -> sell -> withdraw -> repeat.

Will take 10 loops through but so what, the worst thing that happens is you loose 10% of they stop sending out your withdraws.

With the price jumping all over the place you can loose 10% in value in the time it took you to read this message.

The price of Blake2b BTC has been steadily declining. It is now trading at approximately three quarters below its price during the first few days. I doubt you could get the better price anywhere else, and I also don’t think this shit will recover in the near future.

That sounds like a lot of work to get an airdrop of only 0.003BTC for every bitcoin I have. And the orderbooks weren't that packed. If I were to sell only 2BTC it would crash the price by 11%. Not to mention that the exchange shows it has dumped 47% in the past 24 hours so by the time I get around to doing it, the price may be lower.

Using the old icon of Bitcoin makes Blake2B coin is more like a scam coin.
B Cash tried this method and failed years ago.

It would have been a good hourly wage doing this But my setup is not made for quick action, and I don't feel comfortable taking rush decisions moving around coins. It would have been a nice bonus though.

I updated the Github repo with two Python programs, which are intended to run on an online and offline computer respectively.

The offline version is pointed at a wallet on your computer, exports addresses, and then you feed those by USB file into the online version which checks for UTXOs, and then finally bringing them back to the offline device so that the software can automatically sign a transaction with SIGHASH_UNIFIED and make a signed transaction hex you can broadcast.

It seems both exchange trying to attract or defend themself from BIP 110/BTCB2 supporter. Both of them now also use "XBT" as the ticker and use logo that were used on older days. XBT is alternative ticker for Bitcoin that used by few exchange out there.

I wouldn't be surprised if few people didn't check the detail and make unwanted buy/sell action.

I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. Those BIP110/BTC2B coin supporter are more aggressive than BCH supporter many years ago.
