Bitcoin Is 17 years Old. What surprises you most?

If you want to have Bitcoin adoption, you can't win by fighting the government. Look around the privacy coins, the government made sure they are delisted from exchanges. Now, imagine the way Bitcoin has always been the way the narration used to be pushed then, not sure if Bitcoin will survive the heat. There was no reason to be anti government in the first place, it wouldn't be healthy for institutions that is why they formed the relationship in the first place at the same time it's to protect their investment.

Government control pretty much everything in this world, from resources to the economy, and Bitcoin is only a small part of that system. And it's not just privacy coins. Remember all those mixing services too?

They might not be able to completely ban or kill Bitcoin. But don't expect Bitcoin to become mainstream and grow that big without their approval and support.

This is something a lot of people still don't understand.

And what do you think someone from 2010 would find hardest to believe about Bitcoin today?

Maybe the price, institutional adoption, countries holding it, the size of the mining industry, or simply how long Bitcoin has survived.

What would you have found hardest to believe back then?

While many countries around the world now recognize the greatness of the Bitcoin system, initially many were very skeptical of it. As proof, Bitcoin is now being promoted as a national reserve asset in many countries.
Price has become a common topic, even though people are driven by Bitcoin’s price. Beyond its price, Bitcoin is no longer viewed merely as a digital currency but as a valuable asset offering the best hedge. That’s all there is to it, and I won’t go into further detail because the world is already familiar with Bitcoin.
