Dangote selling its shares at #525 per share gives retail investors an opportunity to invest in one of Africa's largest businesses  while acquiring about the smallest 10 shares at #5250 and be in for a good profit after a while . This is the largest IPO in Africa's history coming from the richest man in Africa and it's a great time to invest in stocks if you are still thinking about it and need a better option.

The launching of Dangote's refinary in the stock market as one of the commodities for trading is actually a welcome development to Nigerian investors, because since fuel/petroluem remains one of the most important and consumed commodities in this our country Nigeria, I see a great future in the potential possibilities of this refinery that is about to be listed. And i also read that the minimum share an investor is allowed to buy is 10 shares each, which cost N5,250. While the listing is also said to target 10 million retail investors across the continent with an expected Initial Public Offering worth N2.15trillion Naira. And in dollars, thats roughly over $1,58billion dollars..

This is definitely one to watch. The refinery has already shown strong earnings growth, and the IPO could give ordinary Nigerians a chance to own part of one of Africa’s biggest industrial assets.

But I wouldn’t buy simply because it’s “the biggest IPO in Africa.” At ₦525 per share, investors still need to look at the valuation, profitability, debt, expansion plans and long-term risks before putting their money in. Big IPO ≠ guaranteed profit.

I think the greatest IPO in history is the SpaceX SPCX which was sold at $150. SPCX increased to almost $230 and was dumped and fell to $104 before increasing. Right now the stock is still at $146 which is below its IPO listing but it rose to $154 not quite long before falling to $146.

But if you look at the asset long term, you will know that buying SPCX will be good because its price will increase. Dangote is planning on expanding the refinery to other African countries, it will be a good thing to buy the stock IPO is what I think.

This has been on the news for a while now, and is an IPO which many investors who are interested in owning shares are waiting for. Actually this could be a big opportunity for those who want to go into the stock market. The dangote refinery IPO is attracting a lot of interest from both local, and international investors, and they are all waiting for it to kick start formally, it has been scheduled to start on the September 14, and end in one month interval. However, for those who will still be interested to own some shares of dangote refinery even after the IPO will have to make use of the Nigeria stock exchange, you can get it there any point in time, and I believe by this time, the stock exchanges in Nigeria are already waiting for the IPO before they can list it.

I think this is one of the best news I have come across in the country and Dangote has done perfectly well in allowing citizens of this country to invest in his refinery by buying shares as low as #525 per shares, this is actually a big opportunity for people who wants to go into stock market and this offer has attracted a lot of business men and women both local and international and it's a very good chance that one will utilize this golden opportunity that Dangote has given.

I see this as a great long term investment plan since fuel is our top most used mineral resources in the country and it won't fade out anytime soon so it going to be very profitable for investors even though there will be some changes surrounding it which might arise from debts and long term ricks. The refinery in no given time will be the largest in Africa with this idea of granting people to buy shares for #525. It's a good initiative from Dangote.

I have seen a lot of people being bullish about buying shares because of how much this is actually trending and some of them are just carried away with the fact that it is affordable to buy without really looking at other things like where they stand in terms of being actually profitable if they buy a certain worth of it.

Just like most of knows with buying some sats of bitcoin, it is still applicable to buying this dangote shares. if you buy few shares, it doesn't matter how well the company gets, your returns will be little but if you take advantage of the base level and buy much shares, you stand to gain when the company is at a profit. it is still a big one for us Nigerian and worth giving a shot.

The demand for this IPO will be high, which might surge the price higher.  I often listen to Dangote in a interview, where he always says that it is dream to bring money into the hands of Africans. That's is even one the reason why he wants to build another refinery in Tanzania or Kenya, I can't remember which among the two. But after this IPO, I heard he wants to increase the Capacity of the refinery to 1.4 MBPD. Which will make it the biggest in the world + the 750KBPD in another country. This Dangote refinery stock has a huge potential to become bigger and might even surpass 20 thousands naira per share in the future, if everything works out well. This is kind of things we want the billionaire Nigeria to do, so that Nigerians can also have opportunities to profit from their establishment.  I am already preparing my money to buy this next week.

You really have a good point, but people should not think the price of the stock will really increase. If the IPO is ₦525 and you think the price of the stock can increase to ₦20000 in the future, that is 38x increase in a way the stock will be more than a trillion dollar worth in market valuation. I do not think that will easily be possible in the future, but I know the stock will increase like up to 2 to 5x after a long time.
