From all indications Bitcoin is heading towards that upward tracjectory , as there has been a steady appreciation in the price of Bitcoin that we are seeing in the last few weeks. I see Bitcoin even exceeding more than a $100k before the end of the year if there are no events that may stand as a pushback in the price of Bitcoin. It obvious that we are seeing more people buying rather than selling in few weeks now that, the price of Bitcoin has been appriciating.

From the way that we have seen the price behave of recent, especially in this price movement towards that bull point, one thing is sure the weak hands had been received from the market. And only those with a strong holding capacity is still holding on to their investment.

The upward trend from bitcoin started in August and since then bitcoin has continue to appreciate in value, if people expected this they would have bought more bitcoin when there was a rapid downward trend in the price of BTC although some investors where buying while some where panicking, anyway we don't still know what is coming next if it will increase to $100k before the year ends or if it might dip down below the current bitcoin price now. I still have a believe that bitcoin will increase more and even hit another ATH so any one who has the opportunity to buy more bitcoin should buy but shouldn't invest high more than what they can't afford to lose.

Majority of us in this thread agree that we will likely see $98k and not dropping to $60k and with the indications in the market, there are positive bullish signals;

But right now, I am very skeptical after seeing the fear/greed index. We are about 73% greedy and it's not a good signal.

$98k is a small target to hit. Infact, it should have been hit last month. I think the bitget incident affected price as there were multiple withdrawals from the platform. As everything is stabilized, Bitcoin should reach $98k . If you check the Bitcoin chart, it was on the 25th September 2026 that price reached it peak and have retested several times. Let's Cross our fingers once again that our new support levels would hold . From my perspective, everything is bullish as your clearly stated here.

When Bitcoin pumps, sentiment gets more positive, and when it dumps, people get more negative. You'll never find a moment where price pumps hard but the fear/greed index goes down. The two just move in lockstep most of the time, mate. So I wouldn't treat this as a reliable signal for predicting the market trend.

Don't forget we're still in a bear market, mate, not a bull one. So calling $98k a small target is a stretch, and it's not really fair to blame the Bitget incident either.

Why do you think the market is still in a bear market? That prolonged bear market, which had been going on since last October, actually ended back in July, and this was confirmed in August by a strong rally from the bottom. The way BTC has been moving over the last couple of months certainly can't be called a full-fledged bull market yet, but it's no longer a bear market either.

It is logical to think we are in the bearish market now. After all, Bitcoin price fell throughout half of the year. The fact remains that the current bearish trend is relatively weak. Even though it can become strong, the probability is just too low for now. It should fizzle out. I would admit some support levels failed ($83k). You can still find perfection in the bullish trend in it's imperfect state. I would have been confident to say it is 100% bullish but Bitget exchange volume in trading is not a small number. The impact was felt. I'm sure they would recover. They quickly used their reserves nevertheless the impact was felt. Bitcoin bullish momentum has been temporarily lost.

You said it well. I can give the biggest example of this. I can talk about some people who were quite positive when the price rose. They then said with confidence that they would buy more on the next drop. Although buying at the price is not the goal of the investor. But I am talking about their confidence. They were quite confident and positive about Bitcoin. Then a few days ago when the price dropped to around $63k, they hesitated and were afraid to buy. In the afternoon, they started looking for a bigger drop. I think an investor should not just wait for the drop. Because he may have to wait for years like them. Even if the next drop comes, they will be afraid and expect more drops.

It's because of the cycle of Bitcoin, and it has stand the test of time. Although from what I have research that during the last bull run, we have a all time high pre-halving. And that's why we have threads about a new cycle on what they call super-cycle.

And probably this is what you are seeing, neither bear or bull but in the middle. But if there are some members that still look at the cycle, then they can say that we are still in the middle of the bear market and there could be another deep correction.

In any case, I'm waiting for that $98k price before the end of the year.

It is still unclear to me what time we are in. Because, the Bitcoin market is currently showing a lot of volatility and the price is going down a lot right now and getting a lot higher right now. So it will not be easy to predict it at all right now.

I never look at the short term but always keep one thing in mind that the long term price will increase a lot and the person who is not willing to buy Bitcoin by looking at the price right now will always be in the process of regretting.

It is a best decision not to have such expectations of the price. Because when we have expectations, the market cannot produce the results according to our expectations, then we can break down and remove ourselves from the humanity of investing.

we're all waiting for that to happen. but don't forget, the market is unpredictable and doesn't move according to our expectations. it has a mind of its own, so keep your expectations in check and always have a backup plan.

truth is, none of us really knows what phase the market's in. it's all just personal takes based on everyone's experience and expectations. nobody's got a crystal ball, so nobody would dare guarantee a thing.

There are many obstacles to reach this and Bitcoin is going to this price but then due to the obstacle in the middle the market price went up to $81,000 again and the situation is still both ways. If Bitcoin somehow goes and increases rapidly then this price is not far away. If Bitcoin goes to $100,000 in the same way then there will be quite good sentiment in the market. If Bitcoin price goes above $85,000 in October then we will be able to see this price by the end of this year and reaching this price by the end of this year will be quite good for next year. In December we have a very big event which will increase the market price and it may not go all the way but it may go up to $95,000 or close to it.

The more selling pressure there is in the market, the lower the price of Bitcoin will be, the higher the price of Bitcoin will be depending on the demand of the people. So the price of Bitcoin will not increase as we expect, this is the reality. There is not much time left until the end of the year, but if the price remains stable as it is now, then maybe the price of Bitcoin increase by the end of the year. I am not sure if the price of Bitcoin will reach $100,000 this year. I expect to see a big change in the price of Bitcoin from 2027, which will gradually take it to the ATH.

73% greedy I rank as still relatively moderate (on a more absolute sentiment scale) and 98k is nearby as said.  The main point is the quality of the target hit, so you can peak hit 98k and be back below 90k easily in the same day.
That's not much use to most people, the price goes high while they are busy living life, that quality of a high is just for the traders at that moment.

So 98k in volatile terms yes, it could be a thing this year.  A consistently available price above 98k or 100k is further out.  Inversely to BTC, Dollar is still high though I think it might have peaked, I'll be more certain of a boom possible when DXY returns below ~100 again.
Generally, it'd be nicer to have energy lower priced also and a few other things.  Likely there is too much fear of higher rates etc. to call this a time for higher BTC especially in a reliable way.

I am not sure if the price of Bitcoin will reach $100,000 this year. I expect to see a big change in the price of Bitcoin from 2027, which will gradually take it to the ATH.

Given that the upward trend on the BTC chart has stalled, the chances of reaching $100k this year are getting smaller and smaller every day. However, if you analyze the charts on higher time frames, both for BTC and altcoins, things look very encouraging there. Personally, I think BTC will not only reach a new ATH next year, but many altcoins will follow suit as well.

Well, there are still two months and ten days to go until the end of the year. In Bitcoin terms, that’s nothing for the price to rise by 20 per cent. The problem is that you never know whether it’s going to go up by 20 per cent or fall. It would seem that we’ve already hit this year’s lows and that we won’t fall any further, but historically, the price of Bitcoin has been nothing but a series of surprises.

We might only see that if there's good incident happen, like the one bring good impact and move the market.

But if situation will remain like this. I guess we might see Bitcoin stabilize or stay at $80k+, but we don't know what's going to happen on the remaining months of this year. But hopefully we will see those surprises, then Bitcoin pump at $95k or maybe at $100k.

I also think we are done with lows this year and maybe next to come is either stable state or possible price recovery.

One of my biggest joy this year would be seeing Bitcoin going back to six figures, I don't know how possible that is but that would be signs that the future would be better. The correction has taken too long but going from $60k to $80k is also hope for investors and more opportunity to accumulate before it gets back to six figures and probably a new high.
About price recovery, we're already in the process although it seems like it would be stable for a while around $80k, hopefully one good news would fasten the recovery process to $90k.

Something big is coming even without checking the market price the signs are there but we can't tell when it's going to happen, for some weeks now if not the last week of last month bitcoin have been running around $80k to the current price $81k, this has been the story, moving from $80k to $82k but still that push to hit 85k is still there, now the question is what amount or price are we expecting to see in the first week of a new month? Will the price drop to $70k or advance to 90k?

No one can give you clear answers for that. We know that the volatility of bitcoin often give us the price that we're not expecting.

Dropping to $70k and lower is of possibility and that chance is never gone. And giving prediction of what it will be for this upcoming November, much better to put that hope that this $80k is the floor price.

It's a safe zone for most holders and those who bought when it's around $55kish and $60k+.
