"Five years ago, Wallet showed up in telegram"
I received this notification post today from my telegram wallet.

Five years ago it was a simple text bot, a tool for exchanging currencies. Now it’s a fully integrated app combining fiat and digital currencies as well.

Let’s discuss the Telegram Wallet:
Has Telegram Wallet become a part of the daily financial life of many Telegram users? Or do they still like external wallets? And what feature did the users find in this wallet to prefer it over other wallets?

Disclaimer: this is not a promotion to urge users to use this wallet. Just to know how users from bitcointalk community see it, since it supports many altcoins. I am not a telegram wallet user myself and just installed it years ago out of curiosity without using it to store or to pay and i will never do.

There are many wallets on Telegram, but which one are you actually pointing to? If it's the Ton wallet, it has already become a DeFi wallet on Telegram, but there's no fiat included; there are only stable coins like USDT.

Or maybe you may mention other wallets integrated on Telegram? I know only two: the default wallet of Telegram and the Bitget lite one but I heard many wallets before, including the SOL wallet.

So which one you talking about because I don't see fiat on Telegram wallet except you might be talking about stable coin like USDT?

There are many wallets on Telegram, but which one are you actually pointing to? If it's the Ton wallet, it has already become a DeFi wallet on Telegram, but there's no fiat included; there are only stable coins like USDT.

Perhaps what the OP means is the Telegram wallet @wallet this wallet has indeed connected the integration of fiat money deposits depending on your own country, my region The Telegram supports fiat.

I have not used this wallet for a long time, because it is not so convenient or not a habit, but external wallets that are often used more easily can also be out of habit.

Telegram remains only in use for chatting no more than that although some get notifications of attractive offers from this wallet.

What exactly looks like? Because I have @wallet on my Telegram, but there's no option to use fiat or deposit via fiat. Maybe, like you said, it depends on where I live.
I tried to check even the apps tab but I couldn't see anything related to fiat-to-crypto exchange or similar.

It looks like a P2P platform that supports fiat-to-crypto.

I dig for more information, but I end up finding that my country supports P2P, but I can't seem to find it anywhere from the wallet.

Have you tried to check that right now if it still exists or was being removed? Maybe it existed before, but right now I can't find this p2p from the Telegram app.

What exactly looks like? Because I have @wallet on my Telegram, but there's no option to use fiat or deposit via fiat.

Can you see a deposit option, or a fiat balance on your account? I can see it it my location. The first thing it shows when I clicked deposit is showing which banks or fiat deposits I use to deposit fiat on the wallet. I guess it's true that availability depends on location. Kinda surprised it's that developed in my country though.

Personally though, I don't think I'll ever use this. Telegram only exist for communication for me. Trying to make it integrates into many things doesn't sound good, especially when people send phishing links and whatnot regularly. I'll stick with dedicated apps for that.

It's obvious a built in telegarm wallet is much preferable for the daily usage. No need to download external app, and just connect it to the any of defi supported ton. There's no need to feel paranoid about ransomware because it's created by the telegram itself.

Why do we need to make it complicated to use external wallet when Telegram is providing its own wallet for us?

As for the ton wallet features, it's similar to the other external wallet, but the only difference is that the built in telegram wallet makes it much more simply to use to interact with any of defi in ton eco.
