If Nigeria youths seat down, fold their hands, and wait for politicians to change the mindset of winner take it all, our dear country Nigeria won't get better because any politicians that manipulate his way to become the president of Nigeria will loot funds meant for infrastructures and someone who will start fixing Nigeria won't be allow to become the president of Nigeria. It's only us that can force our politicians to change the mindset of looting public funds, and the only way we can achieve it is to stop tribal politics.
Power has never been given at the platter of gold ever since I’ve been studying power across different books and papers, I have never seen where power was given without any form of the other side struggling to get the power being it peacefully or not. Even in democracy, it is like so. Even in monarchy we’ve seen several cases where family members in terms of siblings engage in struggle for power especially whenever there’s vacuum and it only goes to tell you how power works. In Africa and Nigeria, it is worse, where we have power mongers who are rattling for power here and there like angry birds. We must stood our ground and take this power back to ourselves and set up our things properly.

A situation whereby the winner takes it all situation is what we see in Nigeria politics  today. If Nigeria is to get it right then that mentality should be erase in our memories. This mentality is the reason you see ballot box snatching, fighting, manipulation and rewriting of results. This situation also deny the people's choice and after the election, good heads won't be appointed into the government because they never supported that illegal process.

That's the name they should have given to our election because is what they always do, from all the bad leaders that have ruled the country have always taking everything within the time they are in power, and nobody can impeach them and law will not also work on them so that's the system we have in this country. Even if we often refer to all African countries as one in terms of corruption in politics but the fact is that a lot of countries within Africa has changed and they're know more behaving like the Nigeria government so actually I don't know when Nigeria politicians will changed from being corrupt to good leaders.

Honestly, that’s the frustrating part. It’s not just about changing leaders; we need a system where leaders know they can be held accountable for their actions. Other African countries are gradually making progress, so Nigeria can’t keep using corruption as an excuse. Until there are strong institutions, consequences for wrongdoing, and citizens who demand better leadership, the cycle may continue.

I believe we as Nigerians especially our leaders are not democratic, most of them don't understand the true meaning of democracy, and it is often said that when a purpose of a thing is not known then abuse becomes inevitable. Unfortunately this is the situation Nigeria have found itself. You will see politicians threatening voters that if you don't vote for a particular party, so and so will happen to you, so if we must embrace democracy we must not be selective, because democracy does not allow intimidation and vote buying.
Democracy or not, we as Nigerians need to find a way to limit the old ones from vying for top positions. I mean, those old people who are above 60-75 years of age, shouldn't have any business to do with running from top leadership positions because they have been in politics too long and have become corrupted by the system no matter what they tell you.

If the political landscape of this country must change, then the oldies must make room for the younger generations of leaders to rule, while the oldies act more as guides or step away from the political scene because they are the ones who instigate god-fatherism and want to rule by fire or by force before they die as an ambition that may topple the progress of this country in a bad way.

In a way you are literally making sense in your opinion but how will this be possible when the Youths are not given the opportunity to contest for political positions and some of the young ones that has the ambition to contest don't have the money to mobilize for campaigns and buying of nomination forms. The age of someone who's in power is not the issue here what's our concern is for the person to lead and carried out the primary responsibility judiciously because we can have a young president and things will still be difficult due to the policies they make.

The Nigerian system of government is just revolving among some set of politicians and they are just rotating the tenures amongst themselves, before Tinubu became president he said this time is his turn so you could imagine when such statement is made, it clearly shows how the system is being rotated amongst friends and Nigerians still went ahead and voted him even though the results was manipulated for him to emerge, if the oldies gives way for the Younger generations there will be changes but not a 100 percent because it's a gradual process.
