NÚCLEO NKL
Independent Layer 1 blockchain — 100% CPU mining — back to the roots of decentralized mining

Website | Mining Pool | Explorer | GitHub

What is NKL?

NKL is a coin with its own independent blockchain (not a token on another chain). It uses a custom memory-hard algorithm called NKL-Argon: Argon2 as the memory-hard core of the mining hash, plus SHA-256 for final block verification. Mining requires real RAM per hash, which makes dedicated ASIC hardware expensive to build.

The goal is simple: anyone can mine NKL with a regular PC. No GPU, no ASIC, no KYC.

Specifications

  • Algorithm: NKL-Argon (Argon2 + SHA-256, memory-hard, CPU-only)
  • Block time: ~9 minutes
  • Total supply: 100,000,000,000 NKL
  • Mineable by the community: 70,000,000,000 NKL (70%) over ~30 years
  • Founder reserve: 30,000,000,000 NKL (30%), issued at block 0 — no additional inflation on release
  • Halving: reward reduced 30% every 3 years, 10 halvings over 30 years
  • Transaction fee: 0.5%
  • Pool payout: PPLNS
  • No ICO, no presale, no KYC — nobody bought NKL before anyone else
  • Mainnet launch: May 23, 2026

Founder reserve — full transparency

The 30% reserve is released in 10 equal tranches of 3,000,000,000 NKL, one at each halving. The plan is to automate this release via smart contract before the first halving; if that is not ready in time, the release is done manually and recorded with date and amount on the public explorer. Full table and intended use (development, infrastructure, legal) on the website.

Network status

The network is live in production. Blocks and active miners are verifiable right now on the public explorer.

Currently the chain runs with a single validator node (the centralized stage of the roadmap). Migration to distributed validation is documented in the "Native Distribution Pool" whitepaper. We say it upfront: NKL is not a decentralized network yet — that is the direction we are building toward.

How to mine (5 minutes)

  • 1. Download the open-source miner from GitHub: github.com/joseluis14971/nucleo_nkl
  • 2. Create your NKL address (instructions in the README)
  • 3. Point the miner to pool.nucleonkl.com with your address as the worker name
  • 4. Track your hashrate and payouts at pool.nucleonkl.com

Note: some antivirus tools flag the Windows build (false positive caused by PyInstaller packaging). The miner is fully open source — review the code before running it.

Ecosystem — real utility

NKL is the native coin of the Núcleo Laboratorios ecosystem, with products in production that already use it:

Roadmap

  • Done: mainnet, pool, explorer, open-source miner
  • Next: listing on MiningPoolStats and coin aggregators, BEP-20 bridge + PancakeSwap liquidity, first exchange listing
  • Then: distributed validation (Native Distribution Pool), automated reserve release

Recognition

Accepted into the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2026, competing alongside founders from 190+ countries.

Team

José Luis Oviedo — Founder & developer. Moreno, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Community

Early-stage project. Not investment advice. The miner is open source and auditable — we recommend reviewing the repository before running it.
