Much has been written here about casino games and sports betting for fun. Everyone knows the paralox: while intending to play for fun, over time the user loses more and more often, inevitably experiencing a dose of irritation, bad mood, and poor health due to these losses. It would seem that this should deter them, but the paradoxical mechanisms of engagement in the game are at work here too. A strange thing emerges: players repeatedly continue to play a losing game "for fun." Do you consider this a special form of masochism? If not, what, in your opinion, are the deep psychological reasons for "losing while gambling"?

Because it's a lie. People who gamble “just for fun” don't keep gambling far beyond what they can afford, ending up in disaster. The idea that they're gambling “just for fun” is the self-deception repeated by those who bet too much money, keep losing, and—instead of stopping—keep gambling, making the situation worse.

Someone who gambles just for fun does so only occasionally, and whether they win or lose, it doesn’t have a major impact on their life.

The phenomenon you are referring to is known in psychology as a mechanism of "compulsive gambling" But it does not necessarily always manifest as a form of masochism or a desire for self torture  there may be other underlying causes such as:

The "illusion of control" where a player mistakenly believes that after several consecutive losses, their chances of winning next time inevitably increase or the "dopamine effect" where the brain releases dopamine upon anticipating a reward rather than just upon winning it, or "escapism" where many turn to gambling to relieve stress, anxiety, or daily boredom.

Keeping the grammar aside, it all boils down to self-control where both someone who is gambling for fun and the one who is gambling for profit mainly have limits to how much of a loss they can endure once that limit is reached l/broken. The brain is no longer in the position to accept defeat, chasing of lose appears to look normal as every play convince the player of being a step taken which draws him closer to victory while in reality he has fully lost his ability to stop and accept his loss.

I consider it as side effect for having too much fun. Same idea when having excessive alcohol, cigarettes and other leisure activities that usually cause side effects once too much.

Gambling has house edge so it’s inevitable to lose especially if you play on the long run while the for “fun part” usually superseded by the fact of losing money is painful regardless of the amount when the emotion is already changes.

gambling could be seen as a form entertainment and yes it's definetely fun.
example, some big horse race, (Pardubice or Chelthenam) have a literally 0 chance you guess the winner if you are an amateur....
despite this thousands of gamblers pay expensive streaming, expensive tickets, hotels, bars, and so on... only a few would have a positive balance after a tournament.
Mostly of them are just professional... anyway any of these gamblers would see a lose on their wallets or just a way to have fun?
There are many hobbies thare turns your profit into negative . This not means are bad by itself or there is any "hidden" reason to have gamblers appreciating it.

You can only get pleasure from winning. If a person loses and keeps playing, they do it to get their money back! To turn the situation in their favor. And not because they like losing. If someone has lost a large sum and says, "I don’t care, I’m playing for fun", then you shouldn’t believe those words. It’s just self‑soothing, and also a way to look cool in front of their friends. No one can derive pleasure from losing. There are no such people.
