Hi, I have problem with images. I think I do everything well on my side, because image sometimes load and sometimes I get "Bitcointalk image proxy failed, invalid image". Do you also experience this problem? I use tor browser, but tried on different browsers and problem persist.

I don't think it is a problem from your end. Understand that the forum is not directly hosting these images so we have other image anchor sites like talkiMG and bitlist as well as may others. Anyways sometimes it happens that some images get that error when the forum is unable to fetch and display them.

Sometimes it's temporary sometimes the image just becomes unavailable here. I've seen some images break and after reloading they go back to normal.

I don't know which website you use in uploading your images before posting the link here, but the most popular image hosting websites are :
https:/talkimg.com
https:/bitlist.co

If you use the above websites, your image will appear since you are a copper membership. Although sometimes talkimg.com goes down but it does not take long before coming up.

Checking your history, you seem to be using this site to upload your images and they sometimes have such errors.

Try those recommendations above it works as they were designed especially for the forum.

Which image hosting site are you using?

Use any of the one that adultcrypto posted above. I posted image not long ago and it worked perfectly. I have also been posting imageiwith no issues at all.

First of all I wanted to know, which image hosting service are you using? If you are using Imgur, then you will have to use different image hosting service. Because Imgur's images do not show on the forum. And they appear invalid. Instead, you can use two image hosting sites specially made for forums.Thoose are,

Bitlist Image Upload

And I have noticed that image upload
Through it are usually invalid
It's not just from your end.
You can try using https://www.talkimg.com/ or https://bitlist.co/upload

Yes, I used imgbb for my images and they sometimes load sometimes don't. I will try recommended images hosting by you and will let you know if it worked. Thanks for help.

Yeah I just saw that . I had the initial feeling someone was still gonna end up dropping it regardless that was why I just focused more on explaining why you see a break sometimes. Least I forget some image hosting sites are barely supported by the forum anymore and I think Imgur is actually one of them.

The one OP used that coldlava40 pointed out is not actually as reliable as the other two though sometimes large size images like ANNs I design can't even load up.

You are using imgbb as image host, I used to use it once but I used the free service and I didn't get a good experience from it.
The thing was that sometimes the same image was showing on the Bitcointalk forum and sometimes it was showing the message "Bitcointalk image proxy failed, invalid image".
Then later I changed some of my other image hosts, currently I am using talkimg.com which is the best for this forum.

As you can already see in this screenshot of me, your image from my site was already showing, and a little while ago it was showing an invalid image. You should shift to talkimg or bitlist.co

I have seen similar instances too, so it not only affects you but others are included but you seem to be the first person I noticed to ever speak up about it.
I think the issue here may be with Bitcointalk internal proxy server and how the browser you use routes the request.

Some of us oldies initially used imgur, until TalkImg.com became more recent and functional, which was created by a community member here and strictly integrates with Bitcointalk's proxy rules.

While using the native image host site I already mentioned, you can come ensure you adjust image size to be under 2.5MB so you won't be affected and not have your image displayed.

You have outline the possible problems it maybe having, let op try using "https:/talkimg.com" first, if it's not working, it means that it's from the forum, but right now we cannot conclude that it's a Forum problem...Secondly I will advice op, to drop only the link of the images elsewhere and click on it, if it will redirect him to the image...Since op have copper membership already, i don't think it suppose to undergo difficulties in uploading images..let him try your opinion first...

OP didn't say they can't post images. They said that sometimes their images aren't shown properly.
And if you check OP's previous posts, you will see that they have already posted images successfully. Their copper membership is also shown on their profile, which means that they are wearing the copper membership.

Welcome to the community OP, we used before the imgurBB when we tried to make an upload with the images but apparently right now, we have both web hosting for upload images so its up to your prefer which feature suitable with your workload.

You can use any browser and there will be no problem with image display. If your browsing speed is low or the internet speed is low, then the image may take a little longer to load, but proxy failed will not appear. Proxy failed can appear for some reasons, one of which is that if the server of the third party site you are using is ever down, then such a problem may occur for a temporary period. I have noticed that imgbb's images sometimes have such a problem. But it does not last long and gets fixed after a while. So if you use these two sites, Talkimg.com & bitlist.co, which are dedicated image hosting platforms targeting forums, then you will not face this problem. Previously, Maximum User used to host images on imgur.com, but now no images from that platform are supported on Bitcointalk.
