In choosing an investment method, it is completely a personal decision of a person, but each person needs to choose an investment method depending on their financial situation. In most cases, we see that they get money monthly or weekly, such people will definitely use the DCA method.
But there are some people whose financial situation is unstable or they get salary after many days, such people can use the lump sum investment method if they want. But yes, compared to all other investment methods, the DCA method is the best and compared to all investment methods, the DCA method gives us more benefits.
It will be better for a person to keep Bitcoin in the wallet only after gaining knowledge about the wallet. Because the wallet is a technical matter, if a person makes any kind of mistake, then in the future he may have to pay a lot of compensation for this mistake. So in choosing a wallet, a person must gain deep knowledge and after that keeping Bitcoin in the wallet will be the right decision.

Buying Bitcoin isn’t wrong if your intentions are good. What I consider wrong is either not buying it at all or buying it but then failing to store it properly—as you explained regarding the risk of losing access. Before that happens, it’s a good idea for beginners to learn how to store Bitcoin properly and securely. DCA is essentially a method of buying regardless of price—whether the price is rising based on current trends and available charts or falling. DCA involves making regular purchases.

If you are talking about the biggest mistake, then it would be to secure our Bitcoin upon purchase. That mistake would lead to losing your Bitcoin forever. But if you are thinking about accumulation, then it won’t be the biggest issue; the value or price would be lower, but there is hope of recovery again. Investors' strategies would be different for each of us; for beginners, it’s better to accumulate Bitcoin through the DCA strategy. It would help to understand the Bitcoin market; day by day your skill will develop. However, keep in my must be careful about securing your Bitcoin.

Okay, but how does it relate to this: losing access can mean losing access to the Bitcoin and it can discourages beginner's
What do you mean with this last sentence? If you buy bitcoin, just know that one day the price will get to the price you bought it and increase further if the price fall after you bought it. It is a store of value. Beginners should not go lump sum, they can DCA.

What do you mean with this last sentence? If you buy bitcoin, just know that one day the price will get to the price you bought it and increase further if the price fall after you bought it. It is a store of value. Beginners should not go lump sum, they can DCA. Thank you for pointing it out, because at a point I was confused, trying to understand the meaning of that last sentence of his, but your statement is understandable and is more clearer. For me, one of the mistakes newbies make/or might make when buying Bitcoin is.. Trying to buy with a whole lot of money, maybe because they have it or something.. I feel it's somehow wrong because they are just new to it and don't understand it or how it runs at all. I believe it's always best to just start small first since it's an investment that require time. Another mistake is buying from there main income. Some beginners, because of the excitement that they want to buy Bitcoin, they just go ahead to buy alot of Bitcoin with there main income, some with all there salaries, forgetting that they will eat next week or an emergency might happen. From what I have read so far from other threads or board, I think it's better if we just buy with our discretionary income, so that we can still handle other aspects of lives that requires out income. Thirdly, some don't even have a plan or target, they just start buying because they like Bitcoin and they want to have it. At least a little plan or target of how far I want to buy or how long I want to hold it will help yo guide and direct you while buying, even though you might later change this plan in the future as you understand better.

There are so many mistakes beginners make when buying bitcoin. One of the reasons why beginners buy bitcoin is that they think the rising price of bitcoin means it's the right time to buy. Some beginners always have the expectation that once they buy bitcoin, the price will start increasing, leading them to expect quick profits.
Another common mistake beginners make is buying bitcoin with an amount they can't afford to lose, and some even invest in bitcoin without understanding how it works, yet they expect to gain significantly from their investment.

The biggest mistake made by beginners when buying Bitcoin occurs at the beginning, namely not planning their purchases properly. They may have the goal of investing for the long term, but holding onto Bitcoin until the plan is realized is a different matter and may be difficult for beginners. I just want to point out what I often see, many beginners enter Bitcoin investment without a plan or understanding. Some of them even merely follow what their friends say or what they see on social media.

Well most beginners who aren't aware of how stuff works take the risk of buying Bitcoin from an unauthorized person, or they just see someone online who introduced Bitcoin to them and said they can buy it cheap from their hands. Instead of downloading an authorized wallet, they are given a fake one, and after years of investing into it, when it's time to withdraw it becomes a problem.that's why it's not advised for anyone who finds Bitcoin interesting or has a motive to invest, to always learn about bitcoin not from a single person, but from different reputable sources to confirm the right way of holding the asset, and as well not believing anyone who says that bitcoin is an easy way to make money.I believe the internet is filled with folks like influencers and scammers, and lots more. And For that the biggest mistake a newbie can make is buying Bitcoin from an unauthorized platform with the belief that it's cheaper through the words of an influencer. That's all.....

I'm going to be very justifying of beginners, because almost the average person like that, myself included, I was in the position of those beginners and it seemed like it was the thing to do. Where does it come from it is clear that beginners think bitcoin investment can get rich quickly, like what they see on social media, therefore when there is an increase they immediately make purchases without thinking and hope that the money in their accounts increases, as well as when there is a decrease, they panic because their money falls in value as the price of bitcoin falls and then sell it for fear of losing everything. Such circumstances must happen, my friend, and that mistake is a natural thing, the biggest mistake is to use all his wealth to invest in bitcoin but he does not have what bitcoin is and how bitcoin works.

This is the most common thing that can be encountered. Beginners think that all their savings can be invested in Bitcoin. The understanding of managing finances is actually not commonly possessed by ordinary people who mostly just earn money and set aside the rest. Without proper management, this can affect the investment from reaching the planned target. The ability to hold the assets owned may be more difficult than the ability to buy Bitcoin.

Some newbies lack basic knowledge of how the market works. They believe that after investing in Bitcoin the price should always increase and never decrease. So when the market becomes bearish, they panic and sell at a loss. Also, some of them lack knowledge of wallet security. They store their coins in a fake wallet or private keys online and end up losing their assets.

New investors often rush into Bitcoin investments without acquiring basic knowledge or understanding risk management, and they tend to invest for the short term some even invest using borrowed funds, believing that Bitcoin will yield massive, quick profits that will completely transform their lives. Before investing in Bitcoin, it is important for an investor to acquire basic knowledge about it. Additionally it is essential to invest small amounts consistently with a long-term plan, hold the investment for the long time and establish an emergency fund covering three months of expenses. When investors understand market volatility, they are less likely to panic this enables them to maintain their investment over the long term and ultimately reap the benefits of Bitcoin. Deciding to invest in Bitcoin in the hope of making quick money is a complete mistake, Bitcoin is never capable of making you rich quickly.

Beginners should not go lump sum, they can DCA.
I would not limit buying BTC in lump sum only to experienced people, because just above this line you said it does not matter at which price we buy, the value will increase. And that's true, we just need patience, and if a newbie can have that kind of patience, then they can buy with any strategy. They can buy in lump sum or DCA. Whatever suits them best. They don't have to choose DCA alone because even at the current price BTC is undervalued, and buying in lump sum at this price might make someone lose, but eventually BTC will pump near the halving and holders will be at huge profit. But what matters most for anyone in the holding game is patience. Not the lump sum or DCA strategy, unless the purpose is not to hold for the long term.

Is deciding not to buy in small quantity considered a mistake? Newbies are not restricted to buying just little amount provided they use the money and willing to invest it, so the amount a user chooses to buy be it a newbie or an old user shouldn't be considered a mistake from my own sense of understanding. But where the major problem lies is not being able to protect the coins and assets they already have which in most cases can't be recovered if lost or stolen. So lack of safety is the major mistake newbies make from my POV

The reason why newbies are interested in investing in Bitcoin is because they hear positive comments about Bitcoin from others and when they look at Bitcoin and find out that the price of Bitcoin was very low before but has now increased a lot, if the price of Bitcoin keeps increasing, they invest without keeping any kind of backup fund. But they get demotivated when they see that the price of Bitcoin is decreasing again. They think that if they invest in Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin will increase and they will make profit but they do not think about its risk. And thus, they lose a lot in the volatile market and have a bad experience from there. They are not interested in doing DCA because they want to make big investments and make quick profits. And that is why they do not think about long-term holding. New investors mainly make these mistakes.

There are beginners who buy Bitcoin not because they have a plan for what the want to do with it but because they see that the price is going up and everyone else are buying, that's another big mistake newbies make
As a beginner, you don't need to have a full understanding of Bitcoin but you should at least know the basics before investing it.
Knowing why you want to buy and hold, knowing the risks involved will reduce your chances of panicking during price swings or regretting your decision later.

I have been in Bitcoin for long before I learnt about the DCA method which means not every beginner is aware of that method. It is mostly beginners that started their Bitcoin accumulation with the knowledge they gained in this forum and forum like this that will be privileged to learn and start with the DCA strategy. That means it is not that beginners do not want to adopt the DCA method, most people are not aware of such a wonderful method of accumulating Bitcoin that makes life a lot easier for them.

It's actually okay to buy Bitcoin at first without understanding the risk. When I bought mine, I also wasn't aware of a lot of things concerning Bitcoin, but I trusted that my friend wouldn't make me invest in something he doesn't know about. After some time, I gradually got to understand an investment strategy and so on.
We should understand that knowledge of Bitcoin before investing is not a must. The reason for this could be Delayed investment: because of the excuse of chasing knowledge, some individuals investments can be delayed, and they might even forget they have to invest. Also, people chase guaranteed investments, and after understanding the risk, most of them might end up reconsidering their investments.
Basically, chasing knowledge and understanding of risk is important, but you shouldn't let it be an excuse for delayed investment or a reason not to invest.

Thinking that Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme has really affected many beginners in their proceedings on the Bitcoin investment. They continue to make mistakes that directly affects their investment which mostly brought about wrong notion of the whole crypto investment. A price rise in the market is just a feature of the Bitcoin market, its volatility nature which can differs from time to time. One thing about Bitcoin investment is that, you need to know when to buy, hold and when to sell in relation to how the market is performing. If you can’t point them out, you’ll always make mistakes that risk losing your funds overall.
