💡 WHAT IS LATE BITCOINERS?

Late Bitcoiners (LBTC) is a lightweight, self-contained proof-of-work blockchain designed for accessibility and community ownership.

We built LBTC for everyone who arrived late to Bitcoin — the ones who heard about crypto in 2017, 2021, or 2024 and thought "I missed it."

You didn't miss it. Not really.

LBTC brings together the founding principles of Bitcoin — decentralization, immutable records, and open participation — with a modern feature set including native NFTs, staking pools, an on-chain exchange, and community governance.

No private sales. No insider allocations. No VC backing. Every LBTC in existence is mined by network participants. Like Bitcoin in 2009, the only way to get LBTC is to earn it.

⚡ KEY FEATURES

• Truly Mineable — Any ordinary laptop or desktop can mine LBTC. No $10,000 hardware required.
• Fair Launch — 0% premine. No presale. No team allocation. Everyone starts equal at block 0.
• Fast Confirmations — 180-second block time means transactions confirm in ~3 minutes on average.
• Native NFTs — Mint, own, and redeem NFTs directly on-chain. No smart contracts. No gas fees beyond a fixed tx fee.
• Staking Pools — Lock LBTC for 30, 60, or 90 days and earn up to 7.5% APR.
• Built-in Exchange — Trade LBTC against USDC/USDT on the native order book.
• On-Chain Governance — Every holder can create proposals and vote with weight proportional to their balance.
• Public Block Explorer — Every block, transaction, and NFT is permanently recorded and viewable.
• Client-Side Security — Private keys never leave your device. All signatures are computed locally.

⛏️ HOW MINING WORKS

LBTC uses classic Proof of Work — the same consensus mechanism that secures Bitcoin. To add a block, a miner must find a nonce such that the block's SHA-256 hash begins with the required number of zeros.
Mining in 4 Steps:

• Download the miner — Get LBTC Wallet & Miner for Windows from our official website.
• Create or import a wallet — Your keys are stored locally and encrypted with your passphrase.
• Click "Start Mining" — Your CPU searches for valid hashes.
• Earn LBTC — When your computer finds a block, you receive 50 LBTC + all transaction fees.
No registration. No pool fees. No permission needed.
Halving Schedule (mirrors Bitcoin):
EraBlock RangeReward
Era 10 – 209,99950 LBTC
Era 2210,000 – 419,99925 LBTC
Era 3420,000 – 629,99912.5 LBTC
Era 4630,000 – 839,9996.25 LBTC
Era 5+Continuing...→ 0

Difficulty Adjustment: Every 20 blocks, the network recalculates difficulty to maintain the 180-second target block time. Adjustment is capped at ±50% per cycle to prevent wild swings.

💰 TOKENOMICS

Total Supply21,000,000 LBTC
Initial Reward50 LBTC per block
HalvingEvery 210,000 blocks
Transaction Fee0.0001 LBTC (fixed)
Smallest Unit1 satoshi (0.00000001 LBTC)
Decimals8

Distribution: No presale. No team allocation. No foundation reserve. Every LBTC is mined by users.

🎨 NATIVE FEATURES

1. Transfers

Send LBTC to any address with a fixed 0.0001 LBTC fee. Each transaction is signed locally with ECDSA (secp256k1), the same curve used by Bitcoin and Ethereum. Every transaction has a unique hash and is permanently recorded on-chain.

2. Staking

PoolLock PeriodAPRMinimum
LBTC-30D30 days3.0%10 LBTC
LBTC-60D60 days5.0%50 LBTC
LBTC-90D90 days7.5%100 LBTC

Rewards accrue second-by-second. Each stake is independent and can be unlocked individually.

Free unlock when the lock period ends — full principal + rewards.

Early unlock at any time for a 10 LBTC fee.

3. NFTs

Native NFTs built directly into the protocol. Every NFT lives on-chain with a permanent record of its creator, owner, and history.

RarityMint CostRedeem FeeNet Refund
Common10 LBTC1 LBTC9 LBTC
Rare25 LBTC1 LBTC24 LBTC
Epic100 LBTC1 LBTC99 LBTC
Legendary200 LBTC1 LBTC199 LBTC

NFTs can be minted, transferred, or redeemed (burned) at any time. Burned NFTs remain visible forever in the explorer's permanent Burned Collection — every NFT's image and metadata are preserved as historical records.

4. Exchange

Trade LBTC against USDC and USDT on the native order book. Fixed peg: 10 LBTC = 1 USDC / USDT. Orders are matched automatically by the node.

5. Governance

Any LBTC holder can create proposals and vote. Voting power = your LBTC balance. Every proposal runs for 7 days. Post-launch, governance decides the future of the chain.

🔒 SECURITY & CRYPTOGRAPHY

• ECDSA secp256k1 — same curve as Bitcoin and Ethereum
• SHA-256 — for block hashing and signature digest
• RIPEMD-160 — for address derivation
• Base58Check — checksummed addresses to prevent typos
• Client-side signing — private keys never leave your device
• Server-side verification — every transaction verified before acceptance
Your keys, your coins. LBTC never holds custody of user funds. The server only receives signed transactions — never private keys.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What makes LBTC different from other new coins?
A: Zero premine, no presale, no VC allocation. Every LBTC is mined. The chain also has native NFTs, staking, exchange, and governance — not just transfers.

Q: Can I really mine this on my laptop?
A: Yes. LBTC uses CPU-friendly Proof of Work. Any modern computer can mine blocks. No GPUs or ASICs needed.

Q: Why is there a chain reset on October 1st?
A: It ensures a truly fair launch. Any advantage gained during Beta is erased at launch. Everyone starts at block 0 on the same day, at the same time.

Q: Is there an ICO or presale?
A: No. There never will be. LBTC follows the Bitcoin fair-launch model — mine it, earn it, or receive it from someone who did.

Q: How do I earn money from this?
A: Mine blocks (50 LBTC/block), stake for yield (up to 7.5% APR), or trade on the exchange. During Beta, all activity is practice. Real value begins on launch day.

Q: What wallet should I use?
A: The official LBTC Wallet & Miner (Windows) is the recommended wallet. You can also use the web wallet at latebitcoiners.com/dashboard.

Q: Is the source code open?
A: The node is a single Python file. Full source will be released at launch.

Q: Where can I track the chain?
A: The public block explorer is at latebitcoiners.com/explorer. Every block, transaction, and NFT is publicly visible.

What do we think?

We think you've already lost. Here's why.

1. On October 1st, the first wave of ASICs will hit the network.
Not because they're "evil." Because SHA-256 is their native algorithm. They already have the hardware, the pools, the electricity. They'll see a new chain with low difficulty and they'll jump in. Not forever — for hours. But those hours are enough to push difficulty to a level no CPU can reach.

2. CPU miners will leave.
They won't be able to compete. They'll shut down their nodes. Your network will empty out. If the coin ever reaches exchanges (and that's a big "if"), a second wave of ASICs will come. They'll take control. You'll be left with a website, a server, and an electricity bill. Getting nothing from it.

3. You can never win.
Even if you buy ASICs, you can't outrun those who have thousands. You can't win a race where the rules are written against you. SHA-256 is not "CPU-friendly." It's the most ASIC-ified algorithm in the world. You chose it yourself.

4. When the coin drops in price — ASICs will leave.
Not because the coin is bad. Because there isn't enough money in the world to buy all the coins being minted right now. ASICs will go where it's more profitable. Your network will die. Not immediately — slowly. Difficulty will stay high, blocks will stop being found, nodes will go offline.

5. Bottom line.
You're not building "the new Bitcoin." You're building another ASIC playground that will die a month after launch.

What should you do?
Leave it. Enjoy your life. Don't waste time on a utopia that already failed before it began.

Hi there and thank you for the extensive review. I do not think it could fail and I can change the mining algo for something like Zcash more CPU friendly and anti ASIC. Bitcoin success was bring by ASIC miners and if the chain have users Asics will help protect it with big power. I understand you concerns and they valid. Just looking for more opinions for solidification of the project. Best
