This is not the first time that ethereum and many altcoins will outperform bitcoin in price. This has been happening in crypto and it is no new at all. But after the outperformance, bitcoin still remain the number one.

Bitcoin marketcap is $1.54 trillion. No other coins has gotten to $1 trillion market value before, but bitcoin is there for years now and not falling below it.

Ethereum marketcap is $3.10 billion.

That means bitcoin is almost 5 times bigger.

Ethereum coin has not increased in price much, you may think so but it is not at all. This has happened a lot in the past but in the end it has been seen that Bitcoin has maintained the top position, for a long time the price of Bitcoin was in the same place but the price of Bitcoin has not increased, whenever the price of Bitcoin has increased, the price of Ethereum coin has immediately increased again. So I think Bitcoin is the best.

What do we think this means for ETH and altcoins going forward rest of the year going into 2027?

If the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of all the unique coins will start to increase, moreover, the possibility of the price of Altcoins increasing automatically is very low. However, if the price of Bitcoin reaches a high speed by 2027, then the unique coins will start to increase.
However, this is the moment of correction, so the price of Bitcoin will definitely correct along with the unique coins so that investors can take the opportunity to buy.

I wouldn't think of it in general. Although whenever ETH move like this, we can't deny that some alts are also following it.

Don't generalize the altcoins that if ETH do well for this year, it will also be good for them. We've seen enough that there will be more alts to die for the following year.

What matters at this point if ETH continues to move like this, the next target is to reach the ceiling for the third time around $4500 but for 2027 that's unlikely.

Many altcoins have been performing quite well lately, even while BTC has been consolidating within a narrow range. In fact, that sharp BTC pump in August triggered a minor altseason, as many altcoins, including ETH, became more volatile. What do you expect the 2027 altcoin season, which marked the rise of ETH? It's uncertain, I can't predict now, anyways not so much buy altcoins so I'll just go with the flow.

Outperform bitcoin within these 7 months maybe yes, but it's a bit of a stretch. if you bought ETH recently, you're in profit. Bought it 3 year ago, you're in loss.
If you bought bitcoin 3 year ago, you're still in profit. Of course it's easier for a coin that ranged at bottom to make recovery compared to BTC which is above its 2022 all time high hence why I don't think saying ETH outperform BTC is telling the truth.
