As for me I will still accept that Bitcoin is still leading when it comes to both the shorts and long-time performance rate, except if we are in the alt crime season 10 could good the other way as we meet think, but considering this current market season, everything is still pointing towards bitcoin leading in every side and this is what we have been having even on the long term experience in crypto market, there are so many reasons to why bitcoin is being referred to as the king of cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin is called the king because its the first crypto, its decentralized, transparent and it has the largest market cap. But that does not mean it always delivers the best returns.
Just check a few coins on CMC. Over the past 90 days, BTC, ETH, BNB and SOL have all gained around 30%, while other alts like NEAR, ZEC and UNI are up 100-150%. So it wouldn't be accurate to say Bitcoin always outperforms altcoins.
Bitcoin dominating the market doesn't mean it's always the most profitable investment.
