Maybe some of us invest all of the money they have into a single token and if it is goes out, it simply means you've lost your money. It is important to start splitting your money on a specific coin you wanna invest in. That's way even if that one goes out you don't get to lose all your money.

The biggest mistake majority of people did when they invest in crypto they start comparing it with a job or the return of any other business they did not know how the crypto and financial market works secondly in 2021 or before there are less coins as compared to current market so when people invest it in less potential project they still give them good returns because the coins are limited that is why there were no issue for liquidity but now a days there  are millions of coins and new coins are still coming with new use cases and technologies that is why you have to do a lot of research before investing also ICO's are best options but honestly the ratio of good returns on listing is very low and is not guaranteed.   

Simply put, those who are new to crypto investment are really thinking that they can get rich in less time, so they should not miss any opportunity investing in different crypto coins. Well, gone are the old days where every coin means profit. Right now, if you invest in meme coins or shitcoins, losing will be very fast like you don't even gain the chances to make profits somehow.

Even with bitcoin, profits aren't guaranteed yet. You can only tell that you're really in profits once you have a large volume of bitcoin stored in your wallet.

ICO, IDO, one more IEO has been buried for a long time, the trend has been dead for years because investors are no longer profitable for it, now projects that have large funding when the token goes to the market the price after a few months drops 90% more, so what was expected is no longer feasible.

Just for the knowledge of others, these two are to allow you to invest in a token at the cheapest prices before the token gets listed on the market. Now this was the most persons made money from personally some did over 100x from what they did many of the coins they invested in ico's but back in 2025 most of the ico did not do well, in fact 99.9% of them did not do very well that's the truth and reality happened.

Investing in ICOs in 2025? Are the people completely out of their minds? The trend ended even before 2020, because projects used to collect a bunch of money from ICOs but never delivered their promises, some didn't even get listed after selling initial tokens, some got listed but people couldn't get to sell their tokens and the price dropped rapidly, probably because project developers dumped theirs first. After all that, authorities and other parties started cracking down on projects and their developers trying to run ICOs and warned people not to invest in them as it's just high-risk.

in which He staked a total of over 10 000$ but in the end all of the money that is left there is not even up to 500$ which if we look at it is the horror of what he experienced. So, basically stake these things just because you want to get airdrops, but I knew some of you know that most of the airdrops they got did not come the equivalent to the losses they are actually incurred. Thereby losing a lot of money just from staking. And there are some persons that are staking due to they want to get high APY like 100%, 1000%, 5000% and many more whenever you see things like that it is time for you to run from it. I've always been against staking, especially when it comes to staking altcoins when we clearly know that altcoins are extremely volatile and dangerous because they can lose a lot of value over time, but some people never understood this, and just because some smart contracts and projects promised very high APYs, they thought they are going to get rich within a few years if they stake all their altcoins with them, and this is clearly the result of every single person who made this mistake, and those who are doing it right now will see even worst, I believe.

Well I bought around $1000 worth of OSMO, TIA and ATOM just so that I can get airdrops thru staking those coins. After that experience, I decided to not buy staking tokens anymore and I don't know if there's any way for me to get passive income aside from maybe those liquidity pools out there. Will I say that you need to avoid it as an investor? Not really because I still believe that experience will teach you. Try it and decide for yourself. My experience might be different from you.

It's more like gambling than investing because most of those coins die within months and only a few out of 1000's can stand up to investor's expectations. When it comes to alt coins I think only top 10 or top 20 should be preferred as they contain less risk than others but again one should invest in those after deep research and even then one may only invest in those as a risky investment not something without risk.

Fair points but there are still some coins that associated with ICO and are doing well, not that well compared to Bitcoin but they are not as bad as many altcoins because if we look at how altcoins have perform in theasy 4 years, they mostly are wasted effort were many lost alot of investment. If you check some of their market cap, no altcoins launch today have shares than them despite coming from those ICO that was full of scams and dump coins.

The market may be that worse but you can agree with me that there is profit in some of these coins that are doing pump and dump. One thing about trading in bear market is that coins hardly pump and when they do, they don't take time to stay there. They dump the moment they see green candles, it's an opportunity for traders to short them and make money instead of leaving them. Real traders don't ignore opportunities when they see one.

It is a strategy for some crypto investors, they diversify into many altcoins, both the ones they think are capable and altcoins that are not looking like they will be successful, this strategy is based on complete luck, the investor is not trusting any of the altcoins to generate profit, kind of a gamble across different projects, whichever becomes successful or pumps for them to where they can take profits.

If you must buy altcoins, make sure you already hold Bitcoin in large quantity, altcoin markets are risky, majority of new projects are shitcoins, you don't want to waste money buying what will not yield profits for you. 2017 was a golden time for the crypto market, at that time, Altcoin and Bitcoin investors were able to book a good amount of profit from where they invested. But currently, the situation in the crypto market is such that it is possible to make a profit by holding only Bitcoin, but even though thousands of Altcoins are constantly coming to the market, investing in them remains very risky because the maximum coin cannot remain stable even for a week in the market.
